This is a very quality YMCA. There are improvements needed, but all centers like this have them. Yes, the Health Club is pretty much is for the elite/rich people. The board needs to do a walk through and see the improvements that need to be made. The GM of this YMCA has his hands tied and can't make decisions without going to the board first. read more

This has been my go to gym because of the location. Everyone is always nice at the front counter. The equipment is dated and there are more options at the bigger gyms. Overall it is an okay place to workout if you aren't trying to be a bodybuilder. read more

Visited this Y for the first time today, the person at the receptionist desk was more interested in her personal phone call than a member from a different Y coming in. If you want to use a locker room, you have to give them your car keys to get a locker room pass. The fitness center is dated, but the cardio equipment is new. Overall, not too bad but I prefer my home YMCA. read more

It's been okay so far. Things I like: - The layout--not the labrinyth other YMCA's are. - My toddler enjoys his classes (swim with Christopher is excellent and preschool sampler). - Staff is nice and helpful - Toddler enjoys childcare and I find it to be a nice convenience. Things I don't like: - Must pay extra for group fitness classes even though already a member - Must pay extra for use of whirlpool, sauna, steamroom - Must pay extra for towels at the pool (who wants to lug around a wet towel?). Swimsuit wringer-outer is by pool, not in locker room. - Weeknight Zumba is pretty basic - I think she usually does the beginner versions of the routines. - Pool manager is a real stickler and some of the rules are overboard IMHO. read more

They kicked me and my friends out into the cold and left us there after they closed, and ride weren't there.

For such a good location. This is the most terrible ymca I've ever been to. Some of their staff members are very rude. My step sons bike was stolen off the premises by a member off that place and they offered little to know help on tracking down that member. Their fitness room equipment is very outdated and limited. Specially the dumbells and iron plates. They're very non consistent with their daycare hours and last time my wife was there they were very rude to her about the hours. Its the YMCA! Well, the nice thing is between Troy and Piqua you have two to choose from. Troy has the newer facility, with a 25 yd 6 lane swimming pool, weight room, volleyball / basketball area with an open running track above it. Game rooms and more. Its a nice place if you can afford the membership. read more

Well...let me start by saying I LOVE my H2O classes and my instructor. Lifeguards are very nice. The only reason I go to this Y is for the pool classes. I don't use the machine, the gym, or take any other classes other then in the pool. I have a basic membership, paid by my insurance company, Humana. I slipped in the shower and injuried my hamstring. The floor in the locker room is VERY slippery. I've seen several ladies slip and almost fall. The problem started when I reported the injury to staff. Yes the correct forms and info were filled out. But I must say the staff was rather unconcerned and in my opinion rude. There was actually an "eye roll" by one staff and another's tone to my friend, who was asking very reasonable questions, was not at all nice. The look on her face was whole other issue. I was not offered a chair to sit, and I was in major pain. Ice was offered, but only once form was filled and I was going to the door. I stood at the front counter crying, in pain, and believe the staff didn't seem to care. They the staff need to be taught how to deal with the public, b/c they have shortcomings in that department. I thank God that it was me that slipped and not someone older or who may have more health issue then myself. I will recover, but I'm really not sure if I will continue to be a member at this branch. read more
