Robin Bledsoe Park is a lovely city park, if I do say so. It has everything you need for a fun public park. Here's the scoop: -Big playscape that includes a set of swings. There's lots of seating around the play area too, for when Mommy/Daddy needs a breaks. -Soccer fields that anyone can use. Hardly anyone is ever there, so its a great open area if you are into flying kites. -A couple different parking areas for the few times it is busy since there really isn't any street parking in the area. -A splash pad! It's fun in the summer heat. -Tennis courts! -Lots of grass to just run around in or sit and have a picnic. -Cover pavilion area with lots of tables to hang out at. -Lots of community events are held here. Check out their Facebook page for events like movie nights, Easter Egg hunts, etc. This is a great hidden gem for Leander.

Baseball field and soccer field for community use (not gated). Gated swimming pool and a gated splash pad. Both equipped with shaded seating for parents or little ones avoiding the sun. Jungle gym, swings, and playground (not gated) with covered pavilion providing plenty of seating. Access to full bathrooms. Sidewalks don't have a ton of cracks and are evenly paved. Park has a few spots that get pretty gross (i.e. standing water puddles) when the rain is excessive. Too bad that can't be fixed. Cute, easy, and close. Parking is plentiful and accessible. Easy to walk from one side of the park to the other and back.

Love the splash pad! Great place for a kids birthday party - just rent the pavilion and take your pick of playground or splashing!

Garey Park is an absolute gem!…read more We celebrated my son's birthday at Garey Park a couple of months ago, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we booked to the minute we packed up, everything was smooth, easy, and honestly kind of perfect. The park is stunning and has so much to do. So much space, beautiful scenery, and tons of options for kids to run wild . My son had the best time celebrating with his friends. Between the playground, splash pad, and shaded picnic areas, the kids were entertained the entire time. No one was bored, not even for a second. There's something really special about this place. It feels like you're in the middle of nature but with all the modern conveniences nearby. It made the whole party feel relaxed and joyful.

Those fees help maintain this BEAUTIFUL park, which offers tons of activities for families with kids and dogs. The bathrooms were quite clean and stocked with toilet paper. The playground was filled with kids having a great time. We enjoyed walking the trails along the San Gabriel River, and our dogs had a blast! They even have horseback riding and zip lines, along with numerous trails to explore! We've visited free dog parks throughout Austin, Leander, and Cedar Park, and they often end up neglected and trashy! I completely understand why they want to keep this place clean and welcoming!

Nice park, especially if you've got kids in a stroller and want to go for a short hike. The trail…read morethat runs over the dam is all paved (not sure how far it continues being paved since we turned around). Lots of pedestrians, bikers, dog walkers. You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.

The splash pad has a dedicated fenced in area for the water fun, and a nice grassy area with tables and seating. Perfect for a picnic! I love taking walks with my daughters along the lake, admiring the views and enjoying the wildlife. If you're adventurous you can rent a canoe or kayak from the boathouse and take it out onto the lake as well. This park is a beautiful place to spend time on a weekend!
