We booked our trip through Costco and Roberts was the shuttle used to transport our party of 6. We had a large shuttle van just for the 6 of us which was nice. Derrick, our driver, was FABULOUS!!!! He was very helpful and quite knowledgable about the island and things to do around town. There was some minor confusion on where to pick up as we were told there would be someone with a sign waiting for us. We did have to call to find where he was parked but needless to say we found him! read more

We took Roberts Hawaii as our main form of transportation to and from our hotel. Our experience going to our hotel and back to the airport was great! They are organized, have good communication, and was patient with us. They did not make us feel rushed at all, which is helpful especially when traveling with a toddler. Our driver was Ed both ways. He shared some history of Maui and tips of things to do during our visit. Overall, a great experience and we would use them again the next time we visit! read more

We arrived in Kauai almost two hours prior to the time we had arranged with Roberts Hawaii for an airport transfer to our timeshare. We were prepared to wait for our scheduled transportation, but on the off-chance, i called Roberts Hawaii. Without hesitation, they arranged for a driver to pick us up and 10 minutes later, we were on our way with a very friendly driver that we recognized from prior visits. In view of this company's excellent service in the past, especially in comparison to the van choices, we decided several years ago to use them exclusively and we've never regretted that decision. read more

AVOID THIS SHUTTLE SERVICE AT ALL COST!! We were scheduled for a 10:30AM pick up time 10/20/2019. After checking and waiting 10 minutes early, we waiting an additional 10 minutes past pick-up time. We called the office number (at 10:40) only to be greeted by a very rude and inconsiderate lady who stated she was going to check and abruptly hung up the phone on us. She never called back, after calling again to check on the status she said it was going to be 5 minutes and hung up again. WE WAITED AN ADDITIONAL 20 MINUTES AND STILL NOTHING. (If you were going to push us onto the next scheduled ride why would you lie and tell us someone was going to arrive in 5 minutes?) Mistakes happen and nobody is perfect. However if you're in the "service industry" you should treat your clients with good service. When mistakes are made be apologetic not confrontational. If you're looking for a company who doesn't take their services seriously or who treat their customers like disposable paper cups, than this is the company FOR YOU!! Cheers! read more

Overprice! Overpriced! We needed a guaranteed ride to the airport on Maui due to the shortage of rental cars and high demand for taxis, Ubers and Lyfts. We called Roberts and wound up paying $86 for 2 people for the 9.3, 17 minute drive. The taxi that brought us to our Kihei condo was $30. Lesson learned; never ever go to Hawaii without a rental car. read more

This review is for their shuttle service from Kahului Airport (OGG) to Kaanapali. I arrived at OGG an hour ahead of shuttle pick up time due to an early arrival from Seattle. The staff onsite at the airport were very nice and friendly. Even with an early arrival, the staff called and said that they would have a shuttle ready for me within 10 minutes time which was great. Norm was my shuttle driver and was seriously one of the nicest shuttle drivers I've come across. Norm was a very professional and helpful driver but also gave me great insight into things around Maui. Despite coming to Maui multiple times, I learned so much during my 45 minute drive with Norm to Kaanapali. What was also great was that I was Norm's only passenger of the day, making my ride with him super flexible. Norm offered to stop at a local place for dinner for me as he found out I didn't have dinner yet (since I just arrived on Maui). I truly appreciated the gesture and effort that Norm did during my drive to Kaanapali. The overall experience with the service I received was excellent and I will recommend the shuttle company as a great transportation resource to those that are looking at transportation options around the island. read more

Set up as a private luxury car but instead gave us a massive van that was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable. When trying to find them at the airport, we called the office who gave us directions for the public bus instead of the pickup spot. After asking multiple times to make sure this was the right spot, she rudely hung up on me. Called back again after waiting at this spot for 10 minutes to be told that our driver was waiting on the other side of the airport. When finally getting to the driver, the driver rudely said that he was waiting forever and about to leave if we didn't show up soon. I'm sure that was sarcasm but not needed when it's the companies fault to give us wrong directions. The return pickup to the airport after our vacation was a disaster. Driver showed up 30 minutes late and we had to call the office to ask where he was at and they said he's running about 10-15 minutes late, that's after he was already 15 minutes late! Then when he finally picked us up, it was another big van. Then we had to load our luggage ourselves. And I'm top of that he proceeded to take his sweet time driving about 10 under the speed limit. I'm what should be a 30 minute drive to the airport took almost an hour. So all in all it took almost an extra hour to get the airport with all of the delays. Thankfully we booked with plenty of extra time because otherwise we would've missed our flight. Never again. Almost ruined our honeymoon. We arranged for car service to take 3 of us from the airport in Maui to our condo in Kihei. The driver was waiting for us when our plane landed which was great. When we walked outside, we couldn't find him. He gave vague and confusing directions and it took us 20 minutes on the phone with him to eventually locate our transportation. The company sent a giant van instead of a private car. For the trip back to the airport, our flight was delayed by 4 hours. We called Robert's and they told us there was nothing they could do, that we had to get dropped off 4 hours early. The 2 people I spoke to were incredibly rude and refused to give us a refund. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. If you're a small group, call an Uber. Much cheaper and better service. read more

Our first time in Maui and we did the road to Hana tour. 13 people on the tour bus including our guide, Bjorn, who was awesome. He was very full of information throughout the drive, funny and polite. He talked a lot, and someone actually asked him to be quiet for 5 minutes so we could enjoy the beautiful scenery in silence, but if you do that much driving in a day, I guess you need to do something to keep you alert and awake, especially on some of the white knuckle sections of the road. He got us through the tour safely and that was important to us. The kids' favorite part was the rough sections of the road which felt like a roller coaster ride. We made 4-5 stops and spent about 10 minutes at each one except the Black Sand Beach where we spent around 45 minutes. read more

If you have the chance to be picked up by Norman I highly recommend it. I thought this was just a quick pick up and drop off to the airport.(which it was). But Norman picked me up full of energy and excitement and took me on a tour of the island while using the route for where I was staying to the airport. Showed me all the local spots, all the cool destinations, the history, Maui's future, great insight on places to go and things to do as if I were a local! I wish I had Norman as my guide the day I arrived! He is awesome. read more

Extremely disappointed. I paid 53 dollars for a shuttle to the Hyatt. When sitting next to a couple I found out they paid 53 round trip per person who were also going to the Hyatt and would be taking the same shuttle and using the same gas. I understand if I were the only person going to the Hyatt but the shutttle only had people going to Hyatt who all got a better price than I did because I'm a single person. When asked if they could change it since the whole shuttle was going to the Hyatt. Without any kindness or understanding they just said "no". I find this to be poor customer service and will obviously not be using them for my return nor in the future. I will also be suggesting to the rest of the wedding group that comes later to not use them as well . Very frustrating interaction!!! read more

Excellent tour! Takes you on an intimate little bus all around Hana. There were about 20 of us. At least 6 people actually flew in from Honolulu to catch the bus at 8:30 am. Tai was our tour guide and he was incredible. This tour gives you the opportunity to see everything and then go back and spend more time in the places that caught your eye. I would pack snacks because the provided meals are yummy, but not much. Also be aware that this is a bus tour, not a hiking tour. We were not told. Wear comfortable closed toe shoes, bring a sweater, I would suggest a hat, definitely sunblock, bug spray, a phone charger (as they let you charge on the bus) and money (they stop at several shops along the tour). My husband didn't bring his wallet thinking it was a hiking tour. We felt terrible, only had $8 to give the driver a tip. He was an AMAZING tour guide. Wish we had more to give, can't say enough good things about him. Don't bring water: They provide waters for you on the bus. read more

This review is for the airport shuttle service from OGG to Wailea Marriott. Round trip is $40pp. We found out that Uber is banned from airport and this was reflected in the Uber pricing of $113 OW. Luckily I realized the pricing and canceled the Uber. Ended up booking this service impromptu. They called a taxi for us so we didn't have to wait for the shuttle. The taxi was paid for by this service. I did have to carpool with one other couple. Pick up for the way back was confirmed via a call the day before. Pick up arrived right on time and was courteous. Thankful I was not a passenger on this bus because the driver was going at least twice the speed limit at night down a resort street then proceeded to make a u-turn too quickly going onto the sidewalk to complete the turn. Finally, to round things off, the driver stopped in the middle of the hotel roundabout completely blocking traffic. Company should really invest in some safety training for drivers. read more

We went on the Road to Hana tour last week. Loved Tai, our guide for the day. We not only went to Hana, but we went around the backside where the rental car companies will not let you go. While we only stopped for long breaks at a few places, it was perfect for us as my husband has a disability so we did not want to book a tour that involved a lot of hiking. If you are looking for a lot of hiking there are probably other tours that would be a better fit, but I definitely recommend them read more

He was on time, extremely friendly, and before we parted we exchanged Facebook information and have been wonderful friends for over a year now. They always smile even when traffic is backed up for miles. If you are looking for a Hana experience ask to go with Bjorn on this jungle adventure. Outstanding service from Roberts Hawaii! We booked a shuttle for the four of us from Kahului Airport to the Hyatt in West Maui. The airport covid check was backed up with only three people working. Roberts called to check our progress thru the line. When we finally emerged almost two hours later, they were waiting for us. More cost effective and you're not stuck at the mercy of a guide Maui was pretty and the staff was nice, but was disappointed with day in general All day tour of Maui. It's lovely and the guide was very knowledgeable Due to weather, there were road closures and we didn't get the full tour. Driver acted surprised but an employee at the hotel said the road has been closed for days and that Robert's definitely knew about it. No one told us because Roberts wouldn't refund Driver suggest Subway for lunch - NO ONE was up for that. He then drops us off at some lame strip mall food court next to a vacant Sport Authority. Everyone was extremely disappointed We moved on and saw more of lovely Maui. With about an hour left on the tour, he drives us past Front Street shops and the beach, etc., and proceeds to park an 1 miles away at another low end strip mall. Said we'd be there an hour and "this is where the locals shop". So condescending - like we were fifth graders. EVERYONE was miserable and wanted to go back to Front St, but he said no because there's great shopping at this mall. When we got back to the bus, there was a bag of groceries. My Haleakala sunrise tour with Erik was amazing! Erik was a very knowledgeable tour guide. He shared his knowledge of Haleakala and the rest of the island. I learned more on this tour about Maui then I expected. He answered all the questions and was very funny. Erik picked me up on time. He mentioned that I should bring something warm and waited for me to grab a jacket. I wondered why I was not told about this when I booked the tour. It turned out to be very cold. BRING SOMETHING WARM!! Erik was a safe and courteous driver. He took it easy on the tight corners, he kept the bus dark and relaxing so everyone could rest on the way up. He even told us to grab snacks when we stopped. When we arrived on Haleakala, Erik explained where we should and shouldn't go. He offered jackets to those who didn't believe how cold it was going to be. I thought this was very nice. He made coffee and hot coco while everyone walked around. Erik told us where to get good sunrise pictures and even took pictures for a lot of the guest. He took us to 3 different scenic spots. He made a point to help us all get great pictures jumping in the clouds. It was one of the highlights of my vacation. The last part of the tour was breakfast in a small town called Makawao. After eating and a little more coffee, Erik gave us time to walk around. There wasn't much open, but it was nice to walk around. Thank you, Erik, for a fun morning! read more

I booked and paid for a shared shuttle with Roberts Hawaii through the Hawaiian Airlines link, as Roberts is one of their partner companies. My trip got cancelled due to the Covid19 pandemic. Hawaiian Airlines provided me with a 1-800 number to contact Roberts to cancel and request my refund. I was told this was a 24/7 staffed number. I have made six different phone calls on various days at various times and been on hold for over 4 hours. No one ever picks up the line. I'm out $90. This is completely unacceptable. I even sent them a message through their Website and never got a response. What a shame I have to give them one star because they don't deserve any. Needless to say, I will be using another service when I travel to Maui next year. read more

I generally think only the crazy or passionate leave one star reviews but this is one of those times when I'm crazy passionate about the fact that we got pretty screwed over It started with a phone call to reserve our transport a day and a half in advance. Our international flight departed the next day at 10pm, so we called to arrange a shuttle. The woman on reservations said a 7:30 pickup would leave us more than enough time. That didn't sound right accounting for the inevitable island time factor, so we asked to be picked up at 7pm instead. We received a confirmation number and a 7pm promise and left it at that. The night of our pickup that never was, it was 7:00, then 7:10. Finally at 7:15 I called to see where our driver was and dispatch told us our reservation was for 7:30pm... she told us the driver was having trouble finding our address which was weird to me as we are on a main road. But hennyway... 7:45 rolled around. We put our keys in the ignition of our own car as we didn't want to start our holiday having missed our first flight. My husband phoned them on our way to the airport pretty angry - we are both pretty cruisy - 10 or 15 mins late? Fine. Not even showing up, after being nearly an hour past due? When we have a flight to catch? Not okay. We were told we can't get a refund without calling head office, who we apparently shouldn't have called in the first place to reserve, we should have called the Maui office though we weren't told this when booking. We were told that we should have been placed on a 6:30 shuttle to get us to the airport three hours in advance. Should have isn't really good enough and I doubt our flight would have cared if we missed our transport. OGG was moderately busy and we were able to get to the gate - 15 minutes before boarding. Roberts Hawaii, where is the customer service here? And we wanted a refund, but you couldn't even transfer us to that department? Come on. Now we had no option but to park at the airport for two weeks, that $140 will be awesome to pay when we return - naaaaaht. After getting stuck behind two of their tour vans today on the road to Hana, while their drivers swerved all over the road, stopping at an angle blocking the entire road multiple times, and worst of all driving 5-10 miles under the speed limit the entire time, not once pulling over to let people pass; I will have to assume their definition of Aloha is being as rude and inconsiderate as humanly possible to everyone else on the road. We had cars lined up 20+ deep behind us, locals honking, loosing their minds, trying to pass nearly causing accidents all because these bone head drivers lack island driving etiquette. read more

Just put my mom in a taxi to make her flight in Maui. Roberts paid but.... Called to confirm this morning, good to go. Shuttle a no show. Called company after they were 5 minutes late they said "10 to 15 minutes weather and traffic". Called after 25 minutes and they said "call a taxi, not going to make it". Had booked online round trip to and from airport. No shuttle had to get a taxi on arrival also. Would not recommend! read more

I was recently contacted by Roberts customer Service who did everything in their power to correct the bad experiences we had recently in Maui. I really need to give them credit for finally reaching out to resolve this issue. Their customer service department treated my wife and I with dignity, and understanding. I can only hope that policies for disabled people who use their services are updated and drivers are trained to understand that disabilities are serious enough to warrant consideration. Our transport from the airport (OGG) to the hotel (Westin Maui Resort & Spa) was great. We found the woman holding a sign with our names on it right after we entered baggage claim, and waited less than 20 minutes for our shuttle to fill up and get going. Unfortunately, our experience on the way back (from the hotel to the airport) was nearly the opposite. I called to confirm the day before, just as I was told, and the man on the phone said the shuttle would be at the hotel to pick us up at 10:30a the next morning. Great. 10:30a came and went, with no sign of the shuttle. Finally, just before 11am, another Roberts shuttle showed up. When we spoke to the driver, she had no idea who she was supposed to be picking up. She called dispatch, who apparently told her we were not supposed to be passengers on that van. She said she would call dispatch back and check the status of our ride, but she drove away a few minutes later without another word. Thanks. I finally called the company just after 11a, pretty annoyed, and was told they would find out where our van was. The woman didn't even bother putting me on hold, so I heard her radio the driver and tell him to go pick up a new party. Obviously they never processed our pick up reservation and the instructions to confirm our reservation had zero effect. Roberts, if you're not going to bother actually checking our reservation, don't tell us to call in! After this experience, I would not recommend Roberts as a means of airport transportation on Maui. read more

I recently booked the Roberts Shuttle, to and from the airport, and was very impressed. Using their shuttle service was a very pleasant experience. Booking my reservation on their website was easy & I can't complain about their prices. At the airport, seeing a greeter holding a sign with my name as I came down the escalator was a nice touch, in addition to being very helpful. I probability would've walked around the entire baggage claim area before finding my way to the Robert's stand, haha. I was impressed with the customer service, it was outstanding! Everyone was very friendly and professional which is probably the reason why a lot people went to them for directions. The drivers were very nice and prompt; we didn't have to wait for the shuttle and only stopped at one hotel before being dropped off at Andaz. Roberts Hawaii's staff was absolutely wonderful during our trip to Maui summer of 2016. We needed to make changes to our reservation for the Heavenly Road to Hana Tour. Jay was very helpful in accommodating our schedule changes. He also gave great advice on places to visit during our stay on the island. Our tour guide and driver was Ty (I think that is how he spells his name). Ty was very knowledgeable about Maui's history and current events. We stopped so many places for photos and to enjoy the environment from the rain forest to waterfalls and beaches. Ty even knew exactly where to stop to get a quick shot from our seats in the van. He knows those roads and each little hidden treasure on the way. Ty's sense of humor was the star of the day. We laughed the whole trip and bonded as a group. We're so glad that we did not try to tackle those narrow and curvy roads in our rental car. We had a blast on the road to Hana. read more

Was quoted $42 early yesterday when I called. I gave the young lady all of the info; what time we were arriving, where we were going, etc... I asked if we need to book ahead of time and she told me that the $42 was walk up price. So we arrive and go to the counter expecting to receive the same price we were quoted around 10 hours previously and they said it would be $60. Then, I make my case regarding the call earlier and so they called the corporate office which at that point they raised it to $68. So, not only was I lied to/bait and switched, but Rosie was rude to me until I told her that I was going to leave a review. After paying 55%-60% higher than quoted and suffering through rude customer service, I don't see why I would use these guys ever again... read more

After landing and collecting our bags, we were asked to wait in the baggage claim area before our shuttle ride departed to our hotel. After a considerable wait, I inquired when we would be departing, I was told about 10 minutes. Ultimately, we ending up waiting (in the baggage claim area) approximately one hour. Unfortunately, when I had made the initial reservations, I had also made a reservation for their shuttle service back to the airport at the end of our trip. They were 45 minutes late picking us up from the hotel (no phone call from their company letting us know of their delay). They are the worst. Please don't trust them for airport pick ups. You are likely to miss your flight. My driver did not turn up at all. When I called their customer service it took forever to get through (this when I was short of time and miles away from the airport). When they did answer, their rep told me my driver hadn't seen me so they marked me as a No show. I couldn't believe my ears. I had been standing there for 30 mins, panicking about not making to my flight on time because of their mistake and they tell me its all on me. Neither did they issue a refund.
