Amazing pizza! Great Neapolitan style pizza, unfortunately we had to get it to go, but it was so good even at home. The Bee Sting and the Famos Original were our personal favorites, but they have a lot of good pizza options. I definitely want to come back and try more of their stuff and actually dine in since they have a great ambiance. The service was fast and friendly for our takeout order.

Having pizza is a rare treat, especially when many restaurants don't offer options other than red sauce. I was able to order a pesto-based pizza ($29) and add beef pepperoni ($6)! The Lupo pie did not disappoint. The garlic, pesto sauce, cheeses, and pepperoni created a grand combination of savory; saltiness, creaminess, herbs, and a light, yet rich smokiness. Service was friendly and the outdoor seating was excellent for a warm, sunny Wednesday afternoon.

Good food but a bit over prized. The bread has just the right amount of char in it - the bee sting pizza is fine but not exceptional. Because we had a 10 year old with us, we had the original pepperoni as well, I think it would have been better without the pepperoni....their pepperoni was hard and bit over cooked. The place is sparse but I suppose that makes it hip and the service is good. This branch is hard to find. It's in the courtyard across the street from the parking building of the Platform. Now listen, because I wish someone had told me this before I got all frustrated. Entrance to the parking is on Landmark off Washington Blvd. But the restaurant is actually in the middle of the courtyard in the building across the street. Got it? Yeah, it took me a while.

Walked in for a quick dinner - what a great spot! I love hot honey pizza, and their Bee Sting pizza was the hot honey pizza of my dreams - thin crust, large and slightly crispy soppressata slices, and the occasional basil, all drizzled with the perfect amount of honey. The Japanese sweet potatoes were also such a delightful surprise - the rich cake-y texture of sweet potatoes was balanced so nicely by the fresh herbs and husk cherries, such a wonderful combination! Our server was also friendly and helpful. Would come back for sure.

So SLICE to find a little taste of New York in LA! Tucked away in the Platform mall in Culver City, Roberta's offers New York-inspired Italian fare, with a menu filled with pizza, pasta and much more. We had to order the Bee Sting, which is their version of a hot honey salami pizza, and is prepared fresh to order in-house via their pizza oven. We also ordered the clam linguine, which was made with housemade pasta, and small but high quality and fresh clams. Overall, the portions were a bit small for the prices, but it's undeniably high quality Italian food that can sometimes prove to be surprisingly elusive in LA. Service was very nice and attentive despite the restaurant being super busy, and even kindly offered us free housemade boysenberry ice cream to apologize for us having to move tables to accommodate a large 10+ person party (although we didn't mind moving away since they were super loud and obnoxious LOL). Parking is unfortunately not validated, but Sweetgreen a few feet down does offer validation.

This place came highly recommended from a local so I had to give it a go. To start off, our server was incredibly nice and attentive. The salad was absolutely mind blowing, I would drive up 2 hours just for the Green Lettuces. The pizza was also pretty good but the salad was the star of the show for me. The drinks are okay, they need a bit more to them. They give off the vibe like they are pre-mixed. Overall a good spot, I would come back.

Stracciatella with Bread

A margherita pizza to dream about. This spot is absolutely worth the hype, everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious. The bread and stracciatella was also a great side and will absolutely order again next time. The location is great, and parking is located just across the street. Service was also lovely as well.

My wife and I were heartbroken when our favorite place to eat at the Sportsman's Lodge Shops Roberta's suddenly closed....so we went to the Roberta's location in Culver City and were just absolutely blown away by their customer service! There was a private party event going on but Osanga and Malcolm made sure our drive from Studio City was not in vain! Malcolm took our order and said there was a nice park area called The Platform we could sit in with our Black Lab Harvey while we waited for our food. And much to our surprise they brought our food out to us and set us up at a very nice picnic table to enjoy our dinner! It was a 5 star experience thanks to Osanga and Malcom! I highly recommend recommend Roberta's in Culver City! The Neapolitan pizzas, the Buratta, the snap pea salad, the Greens Salad and the Clam pasta were all excellent! As good as the food was .....I'd come back just for the top notch customer service from Osanga and Malcolm!

Amazing (!) but expensive pizza, and terrible service.
Karen C.

The pizza is delicious but expensive, the ambiance is pretty cool. But the service is none existent yet judgmental at the same time. For that, this restaurant gets 3 stars because all the stars really just go to the food quality, and the -2 stars are for high prices and terrible service. Ordering takeout is probably your best option.

Roberta's is one of the best spots in LA if you're craving a true NY pizza experience on the West Coast. The pies hit exactly how they should, thin, crispy crust, great char, and loaded with flavor. Everything feels balanced and intentional, the kind of pizza that reminds you why New York sets the standard. Standouts for me are the Speckenwolf, Ursula's, and the Bee Sting, all excellent, no wrong choice here. If you miss NY pizza or just want a really well-executed pie in LA, Roberta's absolutely delivers. One of my all-time favorites and always worth the visit.

I was in town and decided to come here on a Tuesday night to catch up with some friends. Making a reservation was easy and we were seated as soon as we arrived. The host was very polite and helpful. He immediately helped us with drink orders. Then a waiter came up and tried taking our order as well. We were confused and asked who our waiter was. She very snappily and kinda rudely responded it was her. We were not a fan of her vibe. Drinks took some time to arrive even though they weren't that busy. Overall service wasn't that great even aside from her poor attitude. The drinks were very good and everyone seemed satisfied with that they ordered. For app we tried the fire and ice. This was delicious! The cheese was so milky and flavorful and I can't remember what was on the bottom but it was such a good compliment. The bread it came with was doughy, warm, and delicious. For entrees we shared 2 pizzas and 2 pastas. We ordered their bee sting pizza (off menu) and their lupo pizza. Both were very good. I was especially a fan of the bountiful mortadella on the lupo pizza. The cacio pepe pasta was the biggest let down of the night. Super flavorless and watery. The bucatini pasta was alright. The guanciale in the sauce was very hard and overcooked.

I can't find the most current menu, do they still offer pasta dishes at the Culver City location?

If you google Roberta's pizza you can find the entire menu online... yes they do offer pasta dishes and other delicious dishes!

Is your patio temp controlled--considering a summer lunch next week?

We have shaded areas outside and AC inside.

Is the Culver City location open? On Google maps it says it's permanently closed and no one is picking up when I call.

Yes, I went there last Saturday.

Do they have wine?

Lots! And we like talking about it. Make sure your server brings you a list of wines by the bottle. We specialize in low-intervention/natural wines, so if you're into wine too, there's a good chance we've got something you may not be familiar…

What time is happy hour and what's on the menu?

M-F 3-5pm There's HH on the weekend too, but it's not advertised. I went there Saturday at 3pm and they had a "Power Hour" menu (limited items listed at regular price) but was…

Are they checking for vaccination status for indoor and outdoor dining?

Yes. All patrons must show proof of vaccination

Can anyone post the restaurant's number at the Culver City location? Thank you

The restaurant does no accept phone calls or gives out the number. I have tried. They will only take reservations or orders from the website. It can be rather annoying if you are wanting something modified or special. But it is their policy.

Does Roberta's allow dog on the patio?

Yes

How can I make a reservation here? There's no phone number and the link to the website is broken...

through Resy. however, went recently for lunch, take out only and limited menu. phone number on their page is of New York's location.

Do they sell by the slice?

Not from what we saw on the menu

Do they make larger pizzas than the standard 6 sliced one in the pictures?

Only the 6" size in the photo.

Does this place offer gluten free crusts?

We do not currently offer gluten-free pizzas or pastas.

Hi! Can I please make a reservation this Friday for 5 people at 6:30pm? Thanks!

Hi Roberta's. I sent an email and couldn't locate your number, but we wanted to make a birthday reservation for 8 (7 adults + 1 baby) for Jan 25?

Hi Rachel! We got you all set! I sent you an email.

Do you have vegan options?

yes, the vegan options are red meat and fowl

How do I book a table for 2 for tonight at 7:30pm? I can't seem to find a phone number.

They don't take reservations. At least they didn't when i tried in the past. Although i saw in past conversation the mgr. said you can email them your request

Are the pizzas for one, what is the size of the pie?

The pizza is a medium size . six slices kinda small for two people if you are hungry but if u are not on starving mode than one pizza and a little gem salad will certainly be enough. You can always be on the safe side and order two because u just…

Hi, can we book a table for 4 tonight at 7:30?

Hi Ann, sorry we didn't see this is time!! Hope you were able to get in a get a table ! you can email us at la.info@robertaspizza.com ;)

What's the wait like on a Friday around 7/7/:30pm?

I went up to him and asked him if there was a restroom and he looked up and said yes. And then kept working to make the pizza and said nothing else. I decided to wait a minute or two for him to finish up so not to bother him while working so I just stood there for some time right in front of him and when he was done making the pizza. I asked him "excuse me, do you know where the restroom is?". He knew I was waiting there right in front of him the whole time and knew that he was ignoring me. And he outright yelled and said "what's the magic word??" With this angry and annoyed look on his face... I was shaken up and said "where is the restroom please?" And he told me where in the most annoyed voice. And I said thank you and left. This is the most unprofessional the outright rude way I have ever been spoken to.

Despite having three types of pepperoni, this does not mean the pizza is going to be covered head to toe with pepperoni slices. The tomato sauce was the best indicator that we were eating a fresh pizza. The crust was crunchy and the cheese had a nice pull. A lot of oil pooled on the bottom which was the only downside. However, I would come back again to try the other pizzas. Note: Market Pizza is located in a back patio surrounded by Jackson Place (apartments for rent) and Jackson Market (historic neighborhood cafe and deli). Follow map directions - you'll second guess yourself at first if you park on the main street because Market Pizza and Jackson Market are part of the neighborhood itself and are not surrounded by your typical commercial businesses. It's a soothing environment for brunch with draping vegetation and cute furniture. Beware of flies during daytime. The store itself only had two people working (one person mostly taking orders and one person mostly cooking) so it took a while to make the pizza because the wood fired oven isn't necessarily humongous and there were several people who had ordered before us. No buzzer so if you decide to wander around or if your table is out of earshot, you'll have to check in as they verbally call orders. I had no idea when my order was coming up but they were friendly about me checking in whenever I walked up.

I will not do that again. The crusts were terrible! Doughy and not crunchy. The mushroom pizza might not be bad if it had a regular crust. There were lots of mushrooms but not enough cheese. The margherita pizza - can't understand how people can praise it. Of course, I spent 3 years in Italy in my youth and I know how pizza is supposed to taste. This isn't it. Most Americans really don't know how real Italian cuisine is supposed to taste. Again, the gluten free crust was awful. The mozzarella was ok, I guess, but the red sauce was too sweet and too watery. I also ordered the broccolini, one of my favorites, usually -- also not great at all. I think they are trying to sort of make it into a version of eggplant parmigiana -- the broccolini were all lined up, with cheese on top and red sauce, and then some kind of sour cream (?) parmesan mix to slop over it. And very spicy, too spicy for me. All in all, a bad experience that cost $80. I will not be buying anything from this place again. Yuck. Pizzana, get your act together.

They delivered our order to our table and we ate quickly to try and escape the chaos. We ordered the honey bear pizza, the roasted sweet potatoes and the spicy rigatoni alla vodka. I would just recommend not coming on a Friday evening for an early dinner unless you're looking to be overstimulated and dealing with staff that are spread a bit thin.
