    Wine tasting.

They were able to take us in as a walk in so that's a plus and rare in Napa. Was recommended here by another winery. Was not in love with the wine and the gravel was difficult to walk on (may have changed from a year ago). I would say visit at least once, staff was pretty nice in my visit. True to my previous review (almost 10 years ago) we made it back here for the Root to table tasting. The experience was the best out of the 8 or so wineries we visited on our trip to Sonoma/Napa. You get a private table (my assumption was we'd be seated family style with other groups). Each wine was better than the next, and you get to sample a fair amount of both reds and white, and at the end of the tasting they ask if there is anything else you'd like to try. The food was just as good as the wine. We used this as our lunch for the day, and it was the perfect amount of food. The grazing board they bring you had so many unique and delicious bites that paired amazingly with the wine being served. Was such a nice relaxing and different wine tasting experience. Service for the entire food and wine tasting was great. Each wine was explained to us, all of our questions were answered and we didn't feel rushed at all. Definitely recommend the root to table tasting.

this trip to napa. also visited twice. day 1 we did the RSV eat drink food pairing (3 courses) at $125. yes that's a bit pricey but i really enjoyed it. my friends did not love the wines...they mostly love big bold Napa Cabs (who doesn't!?!) so this was not their "cup of tea" per se.... I love my big cabs but my other red of choice is Pinot and that's what Sinskey does well. We did a regular tasting on another day and that was done inside at the bar vs outside =( i normally love the bar and we did have very attentive service from Antwaun but i miss the patio with the views. They said the tasting was inside b/c of the rainy weather earlier in the day. that makes sense. i'll likely be back!

Went for a wine tasting and curated lunch experience. Was a beautiful experience. The food was really good and the wine was even better. Our attendant was very personable and knowledgeable

This was our 2nd stop of the tour. It was a small wine tasting area. But the taste did not disappoint. We ended up buying 3 of the 4 we've tasted. This place is worth a multiple visit for sure.

I visited RSV during Valentine's Weekend February 2022. I've been to this winery a few times and it continues to produce wines we like. Our host, Octavio, was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He was enthusiastic about the wines and proud of the whole farm philosophy. We reserved the Flight of Five Tasting for $50/person and it came with snacks prepared in their kitchen. The snacks were delicious so I'm sure their food and wine pairing will be even better. We purchased the Pinot Noir Los Carneros 2017 which we will drink for Valentine's. We also got our favorite, the 2016 Pinot Noir Three Amigos Vineyard, which we will save for later. Overall RSV is on my favorite list. Cheers!

Great wines at a beautiful location. Sinskey leaves a lasting impression and it's always lovely to come visit. The wines are all super solid. I'm not a regular Pinot Noir drinker myself (and this is the estate's specialty of sorts) but this winery serves the best Pinot I've ever had. I became a member because of their Zin and Cab Franc + Cab Franc blends. Service is top notch and the small bites are an awesome way to push things over the top. We always enjoy being helped by Otavio. He's truly great at his job and a great conversationalist. We were helped by someone else today which... was fine... but your wine educator can really make or break an experience.

The wine was pretty good, and the best part was the house-made snacks. Tastings came with 5 glasses and a small plate of crackers and biscuits. The winery itself was pretty small, but the views were gorgeous. There is a small garden area as you walk into the building, and you can see the grape vines as you drive in.

Note: reservation suggested if you have a party of 5 or more. Walk ins are available to smaller groups. Tucked in Napa in the boonies, but intimate. 5 tastings for $40.00 and comes with a snack. We could of ordered food but requires 24hrs in advance that comes with wine tasting. 1 host serving us drinks. I thought there should be at least 2 people with 25 people at the bar. It's hard to entertain and explain the history behind the wine. Host was nice and had lots of patience.

We went to six wineries in two days and this was simply the best winery we went to. Yes five stars because we had the best experience out of the 6 wineries we visited. They had the best pairing of wines and some amazing food. Non of the other wineries had fresh food grown on the winery property. Just amazing selection of food with the wine. No other winery came close. . The description of the history and the wines were not like any other winery we experienced.

I've enjoyed their wine club for years because they have the best wines in Napa Valley, in my opinion - and because they provide a wonderful experience at the winery when you visit. They have always thought about pairing food with wine and offer great dishes as well as recipes and advice to their customers. The beautiful facility is located on the Silverado Trail and offers both inside and outside experiences facilitated by their engaged, friendly, happy team. Highly recommended for both their wines and the terrific experiences they offer.

We had the best visit here on a Friday. Alex was very informative and personable. Actually everyone was informative and personable but I didnt catch everyone's name. If you want to avoid the crowds, avoid Saturday. We tried the $40 & $125 flight. They were both great and interesting. We would absolutely comeback for the tasting menus. The food looked amazing. I think it was Erwin who was making the most detailed and delicious looking treats. We got the large rosè. It is going to be the most amazing gift. So impressive. Got a bottle of the pinot. Also got a couple of jars of the fig cardamon jam. We also got the Sinskey cookbook. It looks super yummy. Looking forward to coming back.

This was our favorite stop during our trip to the Napa Valley. I would highly recommend the tasting. It was unique and well paired with our food. We had two hosts and both were really great at helping us learn more about the winery and the philosophy. We really enjoyed the wine and the grounds were also gorgeous. I was amazed at how unpretentious it was.

Everyone having wine chose the Signature Flight, which included one white and three reds. I appreciated the option to substitute a Sauvignon Blanc for the Chardonnay, a nice personal touch. Each wine was distinctive, balanced, and delicious in its own way. You could really tell the care and craftsmanship behind every pour. What really stood out was the hospitality. Our host was not only incredibly thoughtful but impressively knowledgeable. She explained where each wine's grapes were grown, described the flavor profiles we could expect, and added insights into how the terroir influenced the wine -- all without it ever feeling too technical or over our heads. Even better, our designated driver was offered iced tea, lemonade, or an Arnold Palmer, which I really appreciated. It's always a plus when tasting rooms consider the full group's experience, not just the drinkers. The vibe was so warm and relaxing, we ended up staying for over two hours. It felt less like a stop and more like a true experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in downtown Napa.

So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better.
