    Robert is a rude, judgmental person. I would avoid at all costs. His service was below avg and he made a mess. Would give 0 stars if I could

I called customer service to confirm exactly what the…read more"FREE QUOTE" included and was told the electrician would go up on a ladder to inspect the ceiling fan and electrical components and provide a written repair quote. Once the electrician gained entry to my home, no inspection was performed, and the visit was instead converted into an attempted upsell to a paid diagnostic. This conduct reflects a classic bait-and-switch. The "FREE QUOTE" was used to induce the appointment. This conduct implicates multiple consumer-protection violations as outlined below, including heightened concerns where deceptive in-home solicitations affect senior customers: - Bait-and-switch -- promising a "FREE QUOTE" to induce an appointment, then substituting a paid diagnostic once access to the home was obtained, in violation of 815 ILCS 505/2B and FTC Act §5 (15 U.S.C. §45). - Deceptive and unfair business practices -- materially misrepresenting what the "FREE QUOTE" included and failing to provide the promised inspection and written estimate, in violation of 815 ILCS 505/2 and FTC Act §5. - Material misrepresentation -- the scope of the "FREE QUOTE" was a material term that influenced the decision to schedule the appointment and allow entry into the home, actionable under 815 ILCS 505/2. - Deceptive inducement and reliance-based harm -- the misrepresentation caused reliance before any payment occurred, which constitutes legally cognizable harm under 815 ILCS 505/2 and federal unfair-and-deceptive-acts standards. In-home solicitation violations -- deceptive conduct occurring inside a consumer's residence, which is subject to heightened scrutiny under FTC Act §5 and Illinois consumer-protection enforcement standards. - Senior consumer protections -- misleading in-home solicitations and high-pressure upselling affecting a senior consumer trigger enhanced enforcement priority under Illinois Consumer Fraud Act (815 ILCS 505/2) and federal consumer-protection policy concerning older adults.

But it seems that era has ended. I came in a hot mess, I have no design skills. I relied on the sales person to help me and I thought she was amazing. She was kind, patient and seemed to really get me and my condo style - benig "vintage" and wanting to modernize was beyond me. She was super helpful and made me feel like she knew exactly what I needed. That was until I left the showroom. I ordered two ceiling fans from her that day, it wasn't cheap. I also ordered one I'd found on my own online. I hired someone reputable to install them for me and I was all set. But then they left and within days the two I purchased from Crest (different manufacturers) were both on the fritz. Hard to believe for sure, but both manufacturers agreed this was a fluke and they both had inherent issues requiring replacement. And then I had to replace them, which meant I had to pay for the labor again. One of the fixtures is in a room I hadn't needed the fan for in the first year. But then I did, and it didn't work. At that same time I noticed the on/off switch wasn't working properly either. I called the manufacturer and they agreed it was a warranty claim and to call Crest to replace the wall switch. Not something I feel comfortable doing on my own. When I talked to Crest, they said they'd order me a part and well... they did but never called to tell me it had come in. I called on my own three weeks later and they said it was there waiting for me. I verified I could wait for the weekend to get it. Of course they are closed on Sundays so It had to be during the short Saturday hours. I raced to get there in the window only to find a lot of confusion. It wasn't waiting for me at all. The woman who said she'd call me was there and surprised I was asking questions. She said she hadn't heard back from the manufacturer to answer my question about paying for labor, and they all just threw their hands up and said they couldn't help me because the manager wasn't there. Let's just say it's the end of an era and I won't be back for business in the future. Good luck with your purchases after you leave the store.

The solarium atmosphere is stunning, the fountain is charming, and the greenery is lush and thoughtfully curated. From a design and aesthetic standpoint, it's incredible -- easily one of the most visually appealing dining spaces I've been in. The food was... good, but uneven. We started with the cheese and fruit platter, which was delicious and well done. The Caesar salad, however, missed the mark for me. And not because of the dressing -- it actually seemed like the lettuce had been freshly washed (which I appreciate), but it was still holding a lot of residual moisture. Unfortunately, that excess water diluted the Caesar dressing and left the salad soggy. That said, the croutons were to die for -- and that's saying something, because I usually hate croutons. For entrées, my husband ordered the salmon and I had the lobster roll. The lobster roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and adding the caviar was the perfect touch. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted good, but it was nothing memorable. To be completely honest, it felt like something I could (and likely have) made at home. Well executed, just not special. Where the experience really fell apart for us was the service. Our server was absent for much of the meal and rarely checked back in. After we finished our entrées, he returned to clear the plates and apologized, explaining that he had been speaking with his manager. While that could be true, I spent many years working in the food service industry, and it's hard for me to understand why a manager would pull a server away from an active table for a prolonged conversation. Maybe that's what happened -- but regardless, it was a significant miss. Between the soggy salad, the standard salmon, and the spotty table service, I don't think we'll be returning. There are simply too many other places where a $200+ dinner feels more justified and better executed. I truly wanted to love this place -- the setting alone almost won me over -- but unfortunately, the overall experience didn't live up to the atmosphere.
