We had been seeing the same eye doctor for years. When we moved to southern RI from the MA line, we…read morekept driving up to see our other doctor which over time became an 'outing' as we had no other reason to be in that area. When Hazel Eye Center opened up we made the switch. First, the facility is bright and open with a few seats in a waiting area and a wall of eye glass frames. The staff here are very friendly. On our first visit we filled out the necessary information on a tablet and received a very thorough examination. My spouse and I went into the exam room together and took turns in the chair. Dr. Hazelton is very friendly and we actually enjoyed the exam. She recommended a new contact lens for me and gave a sample to try. They work well and I am happy with them. She also updated my eye glasses prescription and I purchased a new set of frames and lenses through her. They are not cheap, but as they are a designer label, they wouldn't be and my lenses are always expensive based on my prescription. This is not a surprise cost and I really like the frames. Dr. Hazelton took time to personally help me find frames I would be happy with after I told her I felt pressured into the old pair and never like the way I look in them. We have called them with questions and stopped in to pick up orders and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They are a small business and sometimes we have to leave a message or wait for staff to come out of the exam room which we understand and don't mind. We are happy with our change of eye doctor. There is plenty of parking in front of and to the side of their office. They are located right where Bald Hill road turns into Quaker lane across from the Stop & Shop/Cowesett Corners Shopping Center. If coming from the south, you will drive past the building, turn left at the court house then left again and come up Quaker Lane to access the parking lot.

In the cases of emergency/urgent appointment needed I was gotten in very quickly and given treatment to get my tear ducts/glands healing and functioning as they should. Lesson!! They run specials a few times a year so be sure to buy when they have either the 50% or even better the 60% off sale!! My only complaint is and why they don't get the full five stars is because the wait times for regular appointments can at times be a bit ridiculous. The staff though is great and has been pretty much the same core group for as long as I've been going which to me says something good about the company and its retention of employees. It's a great place to go for your vision care.

From the moment I walked in to a week later when I picked up my new pair I didn't see one smile or bit of enthusiasm from the 4 different people I dealt with. 4 separate opportunities to redeem themselves and it seemed to get worse with each successive person. I can specifically recommend Mary if you want to feel demoralized and spoken down to while your glasses don't even fit your head and zero adjustments were made. She will tell you all about how you're not looking through the right part of the lens like you haven't been wearing glasses your whole life. I'm glad I was able to keep them on my head long enough to go see Ray at the Attleboro Mass store where I was greeted with a smile and my glasses were adjusted so that when I look at my shoes they don't fall off my head; a novel concept. Lesson learned. I tried going here because it was closer to my work but will stick with the Attleboro store from now.

I got 3 new pairs of glasses on sale last year and the nicest woman helped me. I came back a week later and one of the woman working was not friendly at all, borderline rude. So I left and went to another LensCrafters to get the glasses fitted. I almost didn't come back to this LensCrafters when I was getting prescription sunglasses but it was just more convenient. My partner said the exam was thorough and her new prescription is spot on, so I'll leave it at that. What I can speak to is the frame selection experience, and for that, Calin was genuinely great to work with. He paid attention, noticed which frame colors worked with my partner's skin tone, commented on how different shapes sat with her face, and made the whole process feel personal rather than transactional. She ended up walking out with two pairs, which honestly says it all. It's a family-run business, and that comes through in how they treat you.
