A RH recruiter reached out to me about possible job opportunities. She scheduled a phone call and didn't call until a totally different time the following day. Okay, so messages got crossed. Then she wanted to set up a Skype interview. I got a confirmation email of the time with her contact info. No call. I tried calling her through Skype. No answer. I tried texting and finally, after an hour waiting, emailed her and asked if she wanted to reschedule. Four days later still no contact! I finally emailed and said I would go it alone. Pretty sad. I have used RH and Accountemps twice in the past for myself and used them for recruiting in house. Never had someone blatantly ignore me. Especially in this economy! RH has soured me on recruiters. read more

Great team that was always on it from the get-go! Special thanks to Pearse and Billy for getting the ball rolling and locking down a job position that I am beyond happy with! Highly recommend to anyone looking for work. Be honest about what you want and expect, and their team will deliver! read more

Being unemployed means you're always working to find work 24/7. I've worked with a lot of staffing firms from Massachusetts to Seattle to Cali. I moved around a lot so I had to rely mostly on staffing firms for employment. The vibe for most staffing firms (or the vibe projected towards me) is: "I have this client that needs staffing. Here's the job req. Your resume seems like it fits. Interviews tomorrow. Good luck." So, I take the job req. Look it over. Study it. Try my best to get a job. But that's the thing... a job's a job. It can be really easy to get a job with a staffing firm. If you need a job, you're willing to take whatever and change whatever to get that whatever job. So one doesn't care about what the recruiter says. They are just the middle person. However, RHT in Torrance is different. *^_^* I have had the pleasure of working with RHT Torrance, CA. The first interview started off with getting to know one another, and getting to know prospective employee strengths and weaknesses. They try in understanding the candidate's career goals, as well as, the candidate themselves. They ensure that you are suitable for their client, so that when they present a candidate to a client they can say truthfully, "I have a candidate that I BELIEVE is the right fit for your company." RHT Torrance helped me with the following: - worked with me on figuring out what are my career strengths and weaknesses - quick to provide resources useful to my career aspirations - provided me with additional online training to strengthen my career knowledge - advise me what can help boost my career and compensation - followed-up with me until I found a career - continued to keep in touch and network with me - was truthful, detailed, and up-front with me. They let me know if I was not the right fit, did not wear the right professional clothes, did not have the right attitude, etc. - first impression is the best impression. if you give RHT Torrance your best first impression, you will be rated accordingly and your resume will be seen by ALL of Robert Half Staffing firm. Jobs open up left-to-right. - quick placement - RHT Torrances cares about their job and their reputation. Strong work ethics. - I'd recommend them and would go back to work for them. My time is important and I am a very busy person. I don't write reviews much, but it is my pleasure to write down my thoughts and my positive experiences with RHT Torrance. Keep up good work! read more

First, they are really sweet people in the office. However, sweet doesn't pay your bills. They WILL call you about opportunities. However, it will be opportunities you specifically told them you are not interested in (customer service) at a rate that's way lower than what you listed as your minimum. Plus, they ALWAYS want you to go interview with the company. I realize it's a employer market but still... For example, they wanted me to do temp job where I assisted THREE people; in addition to assistant duties, they wanted to me REWRITE their company docs; and I had to go in and interview with all THREE people. And how much was Office Team offering me to do all this work? A whopping $10 an hour. As broke as I was, I still told them I wasn't interested. Although I went on plenty of interviews, I never actually got an assignment. Since I wasn't happy with OfficeTeam, I signed up with Adecco. So much easier. Within two months I had three jobs, all at my minimum rate, I never had to interview with the companies I was temping for and the work was actually what you would expect from a temp assignment. (as in: Easy.) read more

They emailed me and said they had a position in job in mind for me but when I went to sign up they said there were no jobs available. They just said they had a job to get me to sign up with their temp agency! I would not recommend it to people since they lied about having a job in mind for me when really they didn't at all. read more

As a recent college graduate not knowing which career path to take, I was contacted by this accounting agency and had the pleasure of receiving help from a recruiter named Joseph. Joseph and his team were extremely adamant in helping me find a potential career. Whether it was temporary or permanent, the recruiters at Robert Half are dedicated in helping you find a pathway towards a successful career. They are really friendly, easy to communicate with and are willing to help you in all aspects of the job hunt, from getting your name out to different firms to even offering interviewing tips and resume building workshops, I was extremely pleased with the services Robert Half had to offer. The level of professionalism and ability to work with each person on an individual level is unmatched with any recruiting agency I've ever been apart of. I would highly recommend any individual who is career driven and looking for a starting position to contact the services of Robert Half. read more

Where do I even start.... Well let me start off by saying that Robert Half was probably the best working experience I've ever had. Robert Half works very timely and efficiently by providing you with services beyond imaginable. They will get you a job within minutes. I'm not even exaggerating-especially with the amazing team they have in Torrance. I joined the SPS program around April of last year in 2018. This was right after graduation. I was interviewed by two people via online FaceTime:Todd Williams and Naomi Newton. Both interviews went very well and they were both extremely nice. They asked about my past experiences and a little about myself. The last interview was in person, this was where I got to meet more of the office staff. I got to meet Anh, Pierce, and Vinny. All three were very welcoming and informational. During my time as an SPS consultant, everything went exactly as I thought it would be... perhaps even better. Todd was an amazing boss through out the whole process. Any questions or issues I had, he would answer to them right away. Todd always had an answer to everything. Aside from my own personal experience, I know that the Torrance Office has also helped a lot of my friends get placed on jobs. Anh Do and Joseph Sapida have been extremely helpful with that. Ultimately, Robert Half is a great company to work for. I wouldn't have asked for anything better. (: read more

This place DESERVES a fat ZERO!!!! Dan Lewis nor Lauren ever returns calls! Which I think is very RUDE to potential employees seeking opportunities to work. I would never refer anyone to this office, these people do not care about the well being of others! The only thing that their interested in is commission, not for helping others in a kind way so that people can put food on the table, pay bills & provide a little bit of hope to the families out there, whatever happened to #HumanKindness??? I guess it's a thing of the past.....nobody cares about someone else's struggle & we the people signed up with this agency in need of a job & somehow we get shuffled along! I've been calling for weeks now & have YET to receive a returned call. So Merry Christmas to you over at Office Team-Torrance, your holiday will certainly be brighter than mine! read more

So far so good. I signed up with Office Team in August. Their staff has been very helpful with me. They have called me a few times with some job offers. I finally got a gig this week that's been going well. I really appreciate their help at a time like this. They just really seem to care about the people that come in to look for a job, especially with times like these. I can't speak about the other branches but give Torrance a try. It took me a little while to get the calls but just keep following up with them & they'll help you. read more

I initially was interviewed by the El Segundo office. However, my first interview was set up by Jennifer Rutchland and Ahn Do. After the interview, I was immediately placed on a temporary assignment where I worked for the same organization for several months. During this time, Jennifer and Ahn were in constant communication with me and even made visits to my work site. Their professionalism and my capabilities lead to a full time permanent position with the same company. I was very satisfied with Accountemps and have referred family and friends. Keep up the great work! read more

they contacted me after i had applied for a job on indeed. I went to their Torrance office and met with 2 agents. Both made it seem as if they had several jobs available and that they would set up interviews within the next few days. I filled out paperwork and even revised my resume as they requested. However, its been over 3 months and i have never heard from them regarding any job opportunities. total waste of time. read more

I had never used a temp service in the past because I just didn't know much about how they could help with my staffing needs. I worked with Kayde from OfficeTeam who was very patient and knowledgeable. She helped me understand the value of using her to get me the best staff! She did all the work and made my busy stressful life easier. I trusted her to get the job done right and she did just that and then some! She went the extra mile and was always available to answer my questions and keep me calm! Thanks Kayde! Will never use anyone else. read more

I have had such a great experience with Robert half/ AccountTemps. I worked with Pierce C., Ahn, and Joseph. Honestly, if you are looking for work and want to take your job hunting to the next level, I strongly suggest reaching out to Robert half or if you happen to be looking for accounting work then specifically asking for pierce, Ahn, or joseph. They made things so easy for me and I was able to get work in one week!! Even when my first assignment didn't work out, they found me my current job within one week!! Most places would've just forgot about me or moved on, but they were so diligent and were able to get me on board with my current company in a week. I have absolutely no complaints @ all and would recommend them to anyone who needs a job. Even if you're not looking I would recommend just submitting your resume so that if an opportunity presents itself they can let you know. I mean, everyone is always looking for better pay. I know that without pierce, Ahn, and Joseph I would still be out of a job or @ a job that didn't pay me as well. They work so quickly and really keep you in the loop, it's seriously a no brainer. I was able to do my initial interview on FaceTime, and literally the next morning they were setting up interviews for me. I only had to interview 2 places and each interview resulted in hire. It really helps that they have such a good relationship with their clients, it definitely gave me an advantage over the other interviewees. I couldn't have asked for a better team! They're the best! Im the accounts payable for a big company and my commute is 20 minutes. In Los Angeles, a 20 minute commute is like, unheard of. If looking for work is like the Lakers season this past year, having Pierce, Ahn, and Joseph was like having Kobe come out of retirement to play. read more

This review is a long time coming. I am grateful and want to thank all the staff especially, Susan Denoo, Anh Do, David Bizub, and Todd Williams. I did my research on nearby staffing services and decided to give Robert Half a chance. I never used a staffing service before and questioned whether it would really assist me in my job search? Well, I am now a proud, ecstatic employee with a reputable company in South Gate. I had three interviews before I received the position. Susan was right there with me. She would call after each interview and reassure me that I was doing good. She was just as excited as I was when I finally got the good news. Again, I am grateful to Susan and the others mentioned for their support. My words of wisdom to current or future applicants- work with them. It took me a month to get my first temp job. I worked two briefly before getting the full-time (direct hire) position. I would search the website database for any job posting that looked like want I wanted to do, even if I was under qualified (lack of experience or software knowledge). I would call the person listed on the job posting and ask about it. I called everyday sometimes. I was persistent. Everyone knew my name from Long Beach to Downtown in the Robert Half offices. They do a lot with matching you to great companies but who knows how many people they met with who are job searching. You have to make yourself known. Therefore when an opportunity presents itself, you will be remembered. Again thank you all and Happy Holidays! :-) read more

I've previously worked with employment agencies / recruiters, but none can compare to the individuals at Accountemps. I applied online to their Downtown LA office and shortly thereafter I was contacted by Brett McCreary. Although at the time Brett did not have an opening in the type of work I was interested in, he was very helpful in connecting me with Anh Do from the Torrance Office. Anh was a true professional, he listened to my needs, he prepped me for my interview, and within a few days I had landed the exact position I was looking for. Anh and Brett have great reputations and relationships with their clients, it was a pleasure to work with them and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I should have known this office was bad news when the recruiter had scheduled me for an interview and left me hanging and didn't even bother to call me back. I had to call back and reschedule with her, not the other way around. The communication is very poor and and lack of professionalism and business principle is obvious. I have decided to go with a different agency and the minute I walked in the door I could see a major difference in their professionalism and their level of communication. The recruiter was very professional and spent at least an hour going over my resume and as well providing me key information. She was very thorough and professional during the whole interview. People want to feel as if their skills and what they bring to the table matter, and you want to feel as if the agency at least care and give a two cents. read more

This Torrance team is amazing! Joseph Sapida made the process so smooth and easy for me. He help me find a position in less than 2 weeks. Office Team has been amazing to me. Vanessa Garcia gave me the opportunity to interview for my first HR position. I was given the opportunity to get my foot in the door and I ran with it. After a few temp assignments I was able to gain knowledge of HR and equip myself with a better skills set. I then landed a long term HR position and recently was hired on fulltime. If it wasnt for office team I wouldn't be an HR Assistant for one of the top jeep and off roading company . Whether your looking to change your career or find something new Vanessa is your go to person. read more

I was contacted by an associate from Accountemps a few months ago who found my resume online, and I've never had a staffing agency that was able to actually deliver like they have been able to. They've taken the time to understand the type of employee that I am and what I am looking for from an employer. I've had great matches with the assignments that I've been given thus far. I would definitely recommend this office in Torrance a try if a person in the Southbay area was looking for an accounting type position. The team works hard to place its customers with the candidates. By understanding both parties needs, they are effectively able to match the two and keep companies staffing needs met and candidates employed steadily. read more

I moved to Southern California a little over a year ago, and after searching in vain, called Accountemps. I was connected with Pearse Cafiero, who quickly placed me into a temp-to hire accounting position. It was a good job, but not in the industry I wanted. So after the contract ended, I took a second temp-to-hire accounting position, this time in the right industry (e-commerce). After 2 months I was hired on, and now after 1 year with the company, I've been promoted! I'm making good money now, and it's thanks to Pearse and the rest of the friendly Accountemps staff. Thank you Pearse for getting me that foot-in-the-door I needed! read more

I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. These people are the DMV of staffing agencies. Unorganized, no one calls you back, unprofessional and for some odd reason they move the staff around. The person I met with who I thought at the time would be very helpful was relocated the next week. Apparently this is what they all do move around so every time you call to inquire about openings you get some one new. Bad! Thumbs down for this company. read more

Do not go with office team. They are horrible to their employees and treat you like a child. This is my first time working with an employment agency and I must say Robert Half set the bar high. Their team is extremely helpful. It was never a time I called and ask a question and it wasn't answered. If the person I was talking to couldn't assist me they sent me to the right person that could. For me I love that my recruiter was very hands on. From the moment she called me all the way until I got hired with the company I was on the assignment with. Lauren came to visit me at my assignment with pastries and a big warming smile. She got to see what my job consists of, see how everything was going, and it was nice to be able to walk her around and show her the incredible opportunity I got. She kept in contact with my manager and she gave them any information they needed so they can transfer me over to their company. Everyone was always in such a good mood and they made me feel like they were really there to help me achieve. I highly recommend them. read more

I have been working with Accountemps for last few years and really love it, especially this location. The people at this office work really hard to get you a job, they have plenty of different companies, industries and opportunities, the jobs are suitable, good fit, pay rate is competitive, I would say this office, espeacially Anh Do and Jennifer will find you an assignment very quick with a very good chance to become permanent too. I would recommend this place more than the one in LA, the LA office is pushy, horrible and rude, I had bad experience with LA office back then, they dont care if the jobs are suitable, also the LA office's clients are not professional (the environment, equipment...) but the Torrance office's clients are different, the companies are big and professional. I have earned a lot of experience and good references from all the assignments I got from this office. Now I'm in a permanent position but will definitely look for this office when I get back to the jobs market. :) Good luck! read more

This agency just gives you the illusion that they will ultimately get you a job fast . First off the interview went very well from what I thought, they let me know right away that they had found something. Which was not true I've read somewhere that these angencys get paid for getting people too just come in . They get paid commission for every person that gets too come in. I get it it's your job BUT don't have people come in and waste their time either ? I had clearly told they person that helped me out that I wanted something convenient within my area ( so bay) . Tell me why they were calling me from a different location telling me they had found something for me , I took the job being so desperate. For them too tell me it was in Santa fe springs no where near the areas I had sad were better for me. After telling them that it was just so far from me , it's been about three weeks and I still haven't heard ANYTHING from this agency. Once again someone that jist can't help like other agency's can! Stay away from here. read more
