I got 1 gig from them and the company was unstable and laid off everyone within 6 months. Ever since then, I've been looking for work and for 5 months, not a single job and not even a single interview with CC. They all rave about how great my portfolio is blah blah but I doubt their email blasts are real jobs. I applied to every single job that I qualify for (some even insulting low for my experience) and either get no response and even rejections for doing Powerpoint presentations. I literally don't know who is getting hired by anyone at CC. People said they were good in the past but these days, they're useless unless you know a recruiter directly and have a good relationship with them.

After that, you do not hear from them ever again. The only thing you can do is respond to their emails. They do not follow up with you, nor answer your phone calls...NOTHING. I have been with other agencies before and they are ON it. They are constantly communicating with you on a daily basis and check in on you daily when you have the job. They just want the commission when you get the job or your not worth their time. Which they put no effort to help you get one. Don't waste your time and go anywhere but here.

I should have contacted RMD Law from the beginning. My fiancée was in a bicycles accident and was…read morehit by a car. He had an ORIF surgery on his ankle, thank goodness it was nothing worse. We waited 6 WEEKS for the police report, where the reporting officer found him "at fault" after interviewing JUST 1 witness and the driver, who said he was in the intersection. Not wanting to spend $$$ to retain a lawyer, we waited to see what kind of settlement amount the insurance would offer. We were then bullied by the insurance adjuster who convinced my fiancée that since he was found "at fault", they owed us nothing. We contacted a well-advertised billboard lawyer who told us we had "no case" because he had been found "at fault." Feeling dejected at a low moment of exasperation, my fiancée signed a settlement agreement of $10,000 as he was told "that's all you're going to get because you were found at fault." I literally got home :20 after he signed. I was furious and this let to a lot of fights between us. I found John Rajee of RMD Law on Yelp as a lot of reviews said he handled "difficult situations." He was kind and professional but also understood human nature and the whole dilemma we faced- trying to get a contract invalidated AND attempt to re-settle with the insurance company. He also advised me on different ways MY auto insurance could help even though my fiancée was on a bicycle. Although John consulted other colleagues to discover ways to secure a better settlement, ultimately nothing could be legally done to get the settlement contract negated :( Unfortunately, my fiancée and I had to move forward with accepting the circumstance. Through all these developments, John kept advising us and was professional and thorough. He advised me as an experienced counselor and also just an honest guy who took the time to reassure me that basically it wasn't the end of the world. Frankly, I was very very angry with my fiancée over his moronic decision to sign, and speaking to John just honestly helped me move past my anger and put the whole bad situation behind me. I would absolutely recommend John and his colleagues to anyone seeking legal advisement, and I will definitely refer him to friends and family. Even if you just need an answer or two, PLEASE contact RMD before signing anything, taking action, or accepting offers. They absolutely will help!

I know a lot of lawyers personally but had never had to deal with an accident lawyer and felt that most I talked to were either too aggressive, impractical or just not interested because my accident seemed small or not worthy of treatment. From the very beginning, John was open and honest about my case and gave me the guidance and direction that no one else seemed to be able to provide. I learned a lot about small claims court along the way because I had dropped the ball on my case, even if it was thru no fault of my own. John was easy to talk to and gave me the time needed. He was both practical and efficient. It was refreshing that he was available within reason and wasn't in a rush when dealing with me. Having written so many reviews on Yelp I have really learned who I can trust, and his Yelp site was honest and refreshing compared to so many billboard lawyers and even compared to friends and acquaintances! I can't tell you how much I appreciated John's help, and while my case isn't over yet, I would recommend him without hesitation to all of my friends and family.

I was with a different law firm at the beginning of my case. A "bigger" more "famous" law firm that specialized in workers comp. After the initial consultation with them I had to constantly track them down and no one would get back to me. They filed a claim full of mistakes, some as obvious the date of injury or address, and never fixed it even after I reached out to them multiple times. I was very disappointed and felt a bit hopeless until Ryan came along. He had to work backwards and fix the mistakes that my previous law firm made as well as fight the insurance company and employer. I highly recommend his services. He will give you a personal attention and responsiveness that no other "topnotch" law firms give. Thank you Ryan for having my back through this process.

I decided to leave my good-paying salaried job in search of a better opportunity and environment. Working with Lauren Meyers changed the daunting task to a relaxed and fun process. Lauren is the best recruiter I could imagine working with. She's hardworking, responsive, honest, and a great advocate. She listened to what I wanted in compensation, environment, types of design and presented some great opportunities. Now that I'm contracting through TCG, she consistent stays in touch, checking in on a weekly basis and seeing if I like the company and making sure I'm getting what I need on my end. She assured all my questions were answered before I consider converting to a full employee, has promptly coordinated time I needed for other interviews and appointments, and generally had some great advice on weighing the options I have without knocking down jobs I've been interviewing with outside of TCG. I couldn't imagine a better recruiter. Along with Lauren, Becky Cote has also played an active role in coordinating directly with the account I am contracting with. She has gone out of her way to gather key information like benefits packages and answer other questions/concerns as I weighed full time offers. Together, they even passed along the possible feedback from the client which is always a boost to receive. The Creative Group is full of great, kind, and positive recruiters. They take a genuine interest in finding you a position and work as a team to find you the right fit. The difference to me though has been the dedication on follow through after I started to contract (which is certainly a place other staffing agencies fail when they send you into an account and then lose touch after the first paycheck rolls through). read more

I am an Art Director / Graphic Designer I first contacted The Creative Group through Laura Volpe. She came recommended from a couple of friends. Like all creative staffing agencies The Creative Group really only works with people willing to take a chance on "temp to hire". "Temp to hire" means you temp for three months while the employer decides if they want to keep you. Because you're a temporary employee they can drop you instantly for any reason at all. There is no commitment from the employers for anything at all. As a potential employee you risk everything. So, if you are already employed you will need to quit your job and risk unemployment to get "tried out" at a potential job. The staffing agencies say they will consider "direct hire" candidates. I have not found this to be true. "Direct hire" is when you apply for a job and the employer hires you. You are normally on a 90 probationary period. That's a lot different than a temporary employee. It's the way people normally look for work. When I told Laura is wanted to try for "direct hire" rather than "temp to hire" I was immediately passed down the line - twice. I never met anyone in person and the only time they've seen my work is through an online portfolio. My impression is that "direct to hire" people are ignored. I haven't heard a peep from them since - except to answer my email checking in with them. Since my present job will disappear in a few months I'll have to try the "temp to hire". Sio just be aware that you don't use these agencies to be hired in the traditional way. At best you will be tried out by a potential employer. At worst you'll be stuck working freelance jobs. That means you'll actually be working for The Creative Group - sporadically. read more

Robert Half....what can I say, this is probably the worst recruiting company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.....and once you are in thier database, its impossible to get out. So for the past 10 years my "profile" has been stuck in thier database and I get calls from them everytime I move. Most recently, I recieved a call from a Colleen Abang about a job at a servicing company. She talked and talked over the phone and wanted me to come in....as they always do....even if you have already been to thier office once before to meet with another recruiter. So she emails me the job info and it does not have any information on it pertaining to the rate of pay, who the company is and how long the contract is for. So I shoot her back an email asking those questions and her response is "call me". I call and gues what, I get her voicemail. Never to hear from her again. Now I wouldnt write this review if it only happened once.....but for the past 10 years, every time I get a call from Robert Half they have the same song and dance. And every time I say the same thing in my email to them once they send over the job profile. It gets even better when only one word in your resume pertains to the job profile and all of the sudden they think you are a candidate. So - next time you get a call from Robert Half....do yourself a favor...play thier game and see that it goes down exactly as I have said. Ask them for the rate of pay, who the company is and whatever else you might like to know before you go in and "interview" with them. It hasnt changed in 10 years, doubt it will anytime soon. Stay Away From Robert Half (Especially Marketing Candidates) I strongly recommend that marketing professionals avoid working with Robert Half. My experience has been nothing but disappointing and a complete waste of time. I was assigned to recruiter Elaine Buhler, who repeatedly told me that I had "one of the best marketing portfolios she's seen in a long time" yet despite her 20 years of recruiting, she never placed me in a single role. The only interview she pushed me toward was with an extremely difficult client who was already lowballing the salary from the start. It felt like she just wanted to check a box rather than advocate for me. What's even more frustrating is that I receive more outreach from OTHER departments at Robert Half than from the marketing division, even though I have 8 years of real, hands-on marketing experience across content, digital strategy, social media, and brand management. Their marketing recruiters show zero follow-through and rarely communicate unless I'm the one reaching out first. Overall, this company overpromises and underdelivers. They don't advocate for qualified candidates, they don't follow up, and they certainly don't prioritize placing people in roles that reflect their skill set or salary expectations. Save your time and your energy. Robert Half is not worth it. read more

I wish to God I could give these people zero stars. I found out from multiple sites like this one: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/employment/robert-half.html That there are dozens of complaints about working for Robert Half in general, from underpayment of wages, to the failure of the company to even call you back, and don't, seriously, DO NOT ever question anything they say to you. The fact you're willing to relocate? Nope, not good enough. Do not rely on these people to get you a job. They called me and gave me grief for living too far away. Uh, the whole point was to make sure I wasn't dead broke and homeless when I come back to California. Brittany, the office person very impolitely pointed out that if I wanted to live in the Inland Empire that I didn't want to work in Orange County. Okay, not for nothing but a 30-minute drive in California is nothing, and I think it shows more dedication to drive further to land a job. In a nutshell, do not use these people. They are horrible human beings and do not deserve any respect. There's a reason their rating is so low, and that reason is because they get paid whether or not they land you a job. read more

Today I had the very pleasant experience of meeting with The Creative Group representative Sara Naveed in the Irvine office. She was extremely personable and showed genuine interest in knowing more about me and my work history but also in finding out what I really liked and wanted to do in my career (which was very much appreciated). Then I met her recruitment team of Dena, Becky, and Yvette and was equally impressed with their genuine interest, obvious professionalism and sincere dedication to placing job seekers like me in the perfect possible position. As a graphic designer I've worked with many recruiters and job placement agencies but I've never experienced one as professional and client-focused as The Creative Group is. They dedicate a team of recruiters to promote you to their clients until they find a job that's exactly right for you. I honestly don't know of any other group or agency that even comes close to doing anything like this. I am a Full Spectrum Creative Director and had never had a problem finding work in the prior 2 decades long career. I was told by many that it is hard to place somebody at my level and was urged to seek a personal agent/executive recruiter which was out of my budget (ironic I know ). After 18 months of looking and over 200 resumes sent out without any formal offers I was put in contact with Lauren Fickling. I was referred to TCG a Robert Half Company by a friend and wasn't sure what to expect. Before I got in touch with Lauren Meyers I had been applying to as many places as I could. I made sure my Linkedin was current and looking best as possible yet I was spending more time filling out applications online than doing actual job interviews. Its very hard for companies to comb through hundreds of applications and find who is for real. Having a referral is perhaps the best way to land a job and that's exactly what Lauren @ Robert Half did for me. Although the position itself wasn't a dream job i was able to get my foot in the door, work hard and land a permanent position. So I was recruited by TCG. Had a couple of phone interviews. Was hired. So far so good. But did they mention where I was supposed to go? No. Did they mention what time I needed to be there by? No. Did they mention who I'm supposed to meet? No. If I hadn't asked these questions, I would've gone nowhere! Terrible communication would you say?! And then the company they placed me in sucked big time! And my paychecks were messed up too! I don't understand all these five star reviews in la la land. This kind of inefficiency and incompetence is their reality. Beware! Be cautious of their job postings! They cannot be trusted! Take control of your job search and career. Don't let a recruiter who can't even write a sentence decide what's best for your career!!! read more

I had an amazing experience with the Creative Group. Both Lauren Fickling and Will Lees helped find me a couple interviews, of which the second company I met with offered me a job that I couldn't be happier with. Lauren and Will were friendly supporters who were very easy to communicate with. Before and after the interview process they prepared me with valuable tips, motivation, and I felt a genuine care & interest in finding a position most suitable for myself as a graphic designer. There were no strings attached, I didn't have to do much aside from sharing my goals and experience in order for TCG to find roles that best fit me. Don't waste your time with these clowns. I applied to a few of their listings, never got any replies. When you call them the front desk lies and says "the recruiter is not at their desk and would you like to leave a voicemail." Recruiters never call you back. Really shady place that scams people and just cares about money. The recruiters are on LinkedIn all day and advertise they have "new killer roles every day with a long time favorite client of theirs." Absolute lies! They obviously don't care for people. There business ethic is to lie to you that they have a perfect job for you and excite you, then a few weeks later you will never hear from them again and they will not reply back. Office Team is very unprofessional. They hire people right out of college with a Bachelor's Degree, who know nothing about being a Staffing Manager. They are unorganized, inefficient, and call to offer you positions much lower than you are really qualified for, and on top of that, offer you a salary not much more over minimum wage. I don't know if they get a bonus if they can get someone to take an assignment for way less money or what the story is. I find it highly offensive. They also post jobs on their website that they do not even have available. I was told by a staffing manager straight up, that they recycle their jobs back to the top of the list, which to me is extremely unethical. read more

My experience with Accountemps has been nothing but positive. These people really care about you and go above and beyond to make sure you are working and happy. I interacted with 4 different people at Accountemps at various stages of my career search: Kendra, Jamie, Tara, and Heather. Each one of them were pleasant, positive, and caring. They never stopped searching, scheduling, and setting up interviews for me until I was placed with an employer. I can't say enough about how awesome and completely wonderful this agency is. After 2-3 years of work experience in graphic design, and having trouble finding a new job after being suddenly laid off, I decided to give TCG a try for the first time. Onboarding was easy, they started sending me positions quickly, and they were supportive knowing that I was looking for a permanent position in the long run. In comparison to a couple of other agencies I tried in the past that went nowhere, TCG was much more helpful and responsive. I ended up landing a job after my first interview, and after a few months I'm converting to a permanent employee. Working with this place was THE worst time of my professional life. I applied for a certain…read moreposition with a certain salary budget range that was publicly shared info. I got offered a different position with a different range and when I asked questions they had no answers, despite boasting about their long-term professional relationship with the company of my position. Later, my hiring manager actually said it was his first time working with them. They told me lies based on nothing because they knew nothing about the company even though they claimed to. The person that I mainly worked with was so unbelievably unprofessional at times I was speechless. They resulted to the lowest of lows in bullying and car salesman tactics (like arguing about my employment history which is very clearly laid out on my resume, trying to convince me that I am worth less salary, telling me I should take literally any job that is more money than my current one even if it's only 2k more, etc.). And then when I called them out on their lies about what I would get in my position, the response I got was "we never said that". SERIOUSLY??? Seriously!?!? They can't even say "I apologize about that, it looks like we were incorrect"? That is a horrible and unethical business practice. Thank God I had email proof of their straight up lies. I eventually ended up talking with someone that was supposedly higher up in the chain but if another executive reads this please feel free to contact me and I will show you the unprofessionalism. The person I worked with should be dismissed from their job. Unless bullying tactics is how the entire company does business. I liked the position and the company of my position but the attitude of these people almost made me decline just so I didn't have to work with them anymore. If I didn't care about being a terrible person, I would have told the manager what was going on, and then reapplied through their website. They don't deserve any commission for coercing people into roles they might not want or might not be the best fit for them. In conclusion, if someone here contacts you about a job I would suggest looking for that exact posting on other websites or just go along with it until the initial screening interview, tell 24 seven you're not interested, and then go apply through the company instead. It will save you many hours of stupid back and forth discussion.
