I recently had a heating issue in my home. I contacted All About Care Heating & Air to investigate…read morethe issue. A technician from the company came to my home and identified the issue. This was on a Thursday. A gas valve needed to be replaced. The technician replaced the valve and verified that everything was good and the job was completed. 3 days later I smelled gas in my house where the HVAC heater system is located. This was on a Sunday. I immediately called All About Care. The office was closed but I was directed to leave a message on their emergency message service and an oncall Tech would respond as soon as possible. I left a detailed message. No one from All Care responded to my emergency call. I called Piedmont Natural Gas and within an hour two technicians from that company came to my home. They notified me that found TWO GAS LEAKS. They fixed the gas leaks and notified me that they believe the gas leak was due the installation of the replacement gas valve. All About Care finally called me on the following Monday. They did not apologize for the serious health and safety issues their technician caused. I voiced my safety concerns and I was told quote "That is the chance you take when you work with gas." I have never heard anything so cavelier and unprofessional in my life. Please do not use All About Care Heating & Air for any reason. If not for the professional work of Piedmont Natural gas my wife and I may not be here today.You and your family's safety and life may be at risk.

Recently, I had a technician out on a Sunday because my system wasn't cooling. He informed me that the compressor was "shot" and that I needed a new one. He followed up the next day with an almost $6000 quote for the compressor. I asked him for the part number. The part is 1500-1800 online. Aspire wanted to charge me $4000 for installation and refrigerant. I did ask them to send a comfort consultant to give me a price on a new unit so that I could weigh my options which they did with urgency. I had a second opinion on the compressor from another company. That technician showed me where there is nothing wrong with the compressor. It needed some refrigerant. Aspire is either incompetent with the repair or they were jacking the price up in order to sell me a new unit. I do not recommend this company.

Original Review: I'm currently undergoing a restoration project and needed an HVAC company to hopefully move a vent that we believe was the cause of some damage to our bathroom floor. I contacted a local contractor I used for other work who kindly recommended B&H for any HVAC needs. I first contacted B&H 21May and was able to schedule someone to come out and look at things 23May. The service tech that came out, who arrived promptly, was able to look at the project and even help identify another issue that I was experiencing with our HVAC system. They told me that the office should contact me later that day or the day following with an estimate for the work, which is required to initiate installation/repairs. I hadn't heard anything the following day (24May) and decided to call to see if there was any mix up with my email or contact info. The office staff had all of my information correct and told me that they would notify the estimator that I was still seeking an estimate for the work. The following Tuesday (28May) I still hadn't received an estimate, and called that afternoon. The office staff notified me that the estimator had an emergency and was out of office the latter end of the previous week and was out of office the remainder of the day, but that they would again notify the estimator that I was still seeking the estimate for this work. Today (31May) I still had not received an estimate. I called again, the office staff was aware of the estimate that I was still looking to receive, and forwarded me to the voicemail of the estimator, who I left a message for. I don't enjoy writing a negative review, and I'm hoping that I will have the opportunity to update this review with a better score. I'm understanding that emergencies come up and things can get delayed, but at this point I'm entirely dissatisfied that it has taken more than 6 business days to receive an estimate. This work is preventing me from completing the restoration work that is ongoing, where we have half our bathroom floor removed. I'm enthusiastic to use B&H as it's a local company and came recommended to me from a trusted source, but I have really been let down, specifically from their own claims of fast and prompt service. Please make this right B&H, I mostly would just like to get our house back in order, and this is starting to take way too long.

Joshua contacted me within two hours of my call to the warranty company and asked if they could come out the same day! I couldn't relieve it. Normally you have to wait 24-48 hours to get a call back. The guys called to ask if they could come earlier as they were running ahead of schedule. I said yes and they got here exactly when they said they would. They spent 20 minutes diagnosing and fixing the problem and another ten o make sure the problem as resolved. Both Joshua and Jessie were personable, professional and genuinely nice and honest guys. I strongly recommend them based on the great work they did for us. Because it was a home warranty call the price was fixed so I can't speak to their costs , however, to tell you what kind of guys they are. I inadvertently gave the twenty dollars more than the cost. Joshua immediately told me I gave him too much. I told him to keep it and use it for dinner.

Our air conditioner recently stopped working. I've used Reedys several times in the past and called…read morethem again. The service person spent two hours trying to bypass the control board, It was working when he left but he said he didn't know how long it'd last until we needed to replace the board. That fix lasted about two hours and cost us $283.55. I again called Reedys, and the same technician came with a new control board. the cost was $650.00. the unit again worked when he left but ran for only a couple of hours. I called the service manager and he said he could send the same guy out and I decided I needed someone else. A friend who knows pumps and electricity troubleshooting looked at it for us. He found a clogged condensation pump motor. He cleaned it and the unit has worked fine since. I believe the service man doesn't know much about repairing the equipment or was running up a huge bill, The service manager said during a brief conversation that he didn't repair air conditioners. I wish I had contacted someone that knew how to clean a motor before calling Reedys. I've used this company many times but will never call them again. We spent $908.55 and nothing was fixed. For all I know the service man merely vacuumed the water out of the pan, which would have gotten the unit to run for a couple of hours.

This review is only regarding our experience with the installation crew that was assigned to our generator installation project. The concrete pad was put in place, leveled, and the generator placed on top in a quick and professional manner. The installer made the decision to lower the electric meter so he could put the Automatic Transfer Switch above it. He did an excellent job making that decision. It looked professional and we were impressed with the work. Since our gas meter is located over 20 feet away from the generator, the gas line was routed in the best possible way and also looked impressive when it was completed. The installation crew did a satisfactory job with the outside cleanup. The installation passed both electrical and mechanical inspections which were done two days later. HOWEVER, without going into detail, we gave this installation crew FOUR stars because they could have done a MUCH better job of communicating with the homeowners, as well as showing more consideration.
