The install went good, but later I had problems and they have not fixed it. I would not recommend them for Trane or anything else

Be careful with this company. AC Unit was determined to be low in coolant during a routine PM…read morecheck. Tech said he injected a leak blocker and added 4 lbs. more coolant. Start time 10:30 am left at 4:00pm. Tech had to wait close to an hour for shop to bring him coolant. After 6 hours of on site work we realized at 8 pm the indoor temperature did not get below 80. They sent the same tech out at 10:30 pm and after an additional hour said there was a leak in the indoor unit coil which needed to be replaced. Quoted 6k for the replacement coil and install ( labor & a couple lbs. coolant) Next morning I contacted two other AC repair companies and both matched the services and quoted me $2,200 and $2,300 respectfully. Aire Serv of Chapel hill quoted 3 times more. They jack up cost for parts and charge much higher prices overall. Give Warren Hay or Romanoff a try first. Aire Serv will scam you.

I had an HVAC capacitor that I was told is failing and Aire Serv replaced it under warranty,…read morecharging me $225 for labor. I asked if I could keep the old part since it still hadn't failed completely. I later tested the component myself and it still within the factory specs as a completely new part. I consulted a friend in another state who owns a heating/air company and he confirmed that I tested the device properly and it does show that it's good. When I requested a copy of the receipt and report after the fact (they usually provide it, but for some reason didn't email it to me on this visit), it showed clearly that the part is good and even has a picture of the part in the technician's hand being tested with a good reading clearly pictured on his multimeter. They agreed that the part was still good and didn't need replacement, but still claimed it was going bad based on a single test -- and the test showed the component is still within the specifications of a new part. When I requested a refund (via email) for the labor since the device was still good, even by their own admissions and technician field reports, I was questioned and told it was failing and that since I agreed to the service (under the misinformation that it was a failing part), the service was done as agreed. I explained again that even they said the part was good and there is no evidence of it failing. I explained that we've had a great relationship otherwise and refunding the labor in good faith for a warranty-covered part that it would fix this we could move back to our continued good relationship, chalking this up to a one-off error that has been corrected. During a follow up conversation on the phone this morning, the AireServ person (Brandy) was rude, talked over me the entire time of the call and questioned my ability to speak to anything related to HVAC service since I'm not certified. She said if I wanted, that she'd send a technician to put my original part back in and show me the test where it was failing. I asked if she'd perform the test on the part they replaced to show me that IT wasn't failing and compare the results with the part they replaced. She refused saying she didn't have hours of time to waste on me. I again asked for a refund after they replaced it and a cancellation and full refund of my service contract. She agreed and told me not to call them again for any service. Don't worry. I won't. I have filed reports with the Better Business Bureau and Neighborly about this particular group. I felt compelled to share this with folks here, too, to ensure you learn to question them under pressure and get evidence of "bad parts" they want to replace and charge you for when they don't show any sign of failure and test within specs of the manufacturer as a new component.

I recently purchased an electric vehicle (EV) and was looking to get a home charger installed. Duke…read moreEnergy has an EV charger prep program to get reimbursed for preparing your home or garage with said charger. They will reimburse up to $1,133. After extensively asking Duke all the questions to get this reimbursement, I asked for a list of contractors they have worked with. They gave me a list of 5+ electric companies. Go Green was the 3rd one I called and the only one that answered. Right away, they showed me elevated service. I explained the situation to them and they offered a free consultation to come check out my garage and give me an estimate for the EV charger installation. The very next week, Richie, the technician, came out and met with my husband to check out the space. The first estimate was a little more than what we wanted to spend (with one expensive part being the cost of the surge protector). My husband asked if we could provide the surge protector would Go Green supply the labor for installation. Richie said they could do that and also that he will come up with 5 different customizations of estimates based on different services and promotions. Richie left and within a few hours, the estimates were in my email inbox. I ended up choosing one of the mid-level ones and signed the invoice ocking in the price. Go Green had to order some parts so installation happened a little over 2 weeks later. Richie was the technician for installation too. It took him and his partner a little over 2 hours to install the charger. The city also needed to approve the charger so Richie said Go Green would handle the communication with them so they could come out. I did put in a request with him for a certain day and the city was able to accommodate. Once I received all my documents (the proof of EV registration, my paid invoice, and the approved permit), I applied for Duke's EV charger prep program. I was rejected about a week-ish later for not having an itemized invoice up to their standards. I immediately called Go Green and told them what happened and within the hour, they emailed me a new invoice which I re-submitted to Duke. Two weeks later, Duke emailed me approval for the program and two weeks after that, I received my check in the mail. This is a long review, but I wanted to explain the full process of working with Go Green to get approved for the EV charger prep program. I cannot recommend them enough. They are efficient and professional. I am extremely happy with their work!
