We also read many reviews about their generator installations and the positive interactions between the installation crew with the homeowners. Almost every review was FIVE stars. This review is only regarding our experience with the installation crew that was assigned to our generator installation project. The concrete pad was put in place, leveled, and the generator placed on top in a quick and professional manner. The installer made the decision to lower the electric meter so he could put the Automatic Transfer Switch above it. He did an excellent job making that decision. It looked professional and we were impressed with the work. Since our gas meter is located over 20 feet away from the generator, the gas line was routed in the best possible way and also looked impressive when it was completed. The installation crew did a satisfactory job with the outside cleanup. The installation passed both electrical and mechanical inspections which were done two days later. HOWEVER, without going into detail, we gave this installation crew FOUR stars because they could have done a MUCH better job of communicating with the homeowners, as well as showing more consideration.

About a year ago, our AC quit, of course in the middle of summer. After dealing with another…read morecompany's high pressure sales pitch, we were referred to Robert Green Heating & AC by a friend. They send out a representative first thing in the morning. He was very knowledgeable and best of all, no high pressure sales pitch. He explained the facts, that basically our unit was old and that type of unit is no longer being manufactured, due to the phase out of R-22 refrigerant -- also known as HCFC-22 or freon. Trying to repair and maintain it would be more expensive than buying a new one. We did our research, and he was right, but we felt we couldn't afford a new unit. He serviced the system the best he could, and the AC not only worked the rest of the season, but it got us through until July of 2016 when it quit again. Once again, Robert Green Heating & AC to the rescue! They were able to assess the situation and send out a crew to replace our unit within 24 hours. I was surprised when 2 vans showed up with a crew of 5 or 6, including the boss. They all introduced themselves, and then they assessed the situation and one crew started work, while another went to get supplies. Eventually, the crews split up (one was doing service calls), but the boss did stop by once to check on progress. Every worker was polite, professional, and respectful of me and my property. They did not leave a mess, in fact, you'd never know they were even here! I also feel like the price was reasonable (1/2 of the high priced pitch from a competitor), and I like giving a local company my business. I'm one happy (and cool) customer!

He absolutely has a problem with women being in charge. I work a 40 hour job and my wife doesnt so we decided that she would act as the GC. So she is in charge. Well he does not like that at all. Then his feathers got even more out of shape when we decided to buy/install a generator. Mind you a generator brand that he does not sell. That set him off. Then came the issues with install. slow as molasses on a cold day. job could have been wrapped up in about 2 weeks but took almost 2 months. Only the quote was in writing. Make sure you get Flash to agree to ALL DRYWALL repair if needed. Almost every room in our house there was drywall damage. When we asked him about fixing it and what his process was he simply said he does NOT repair any drywall that they damage. NONE. Well to say the least that was the end of his service. We went round and round with text after text and at the end of the day decided to pay for the repairs. Well it was too late we had already gotten our drywallers scheduled for the next morning and we decided to just absorb the cost and be done with it. Well that set him off even more saying he was willing to pay and or repair the drywall. It had been a day or two since we first brought it to his attention so we felt he had ample time and opportunity to reverse his decision and offer to fix what his crew just messed up. 4 or 5 recessed lights that the hole were no where near where they were supposed to be. One of the holes was even too large with the worker admitting to my wife that he grabbed the wrong size! At the time we actually laughed it off thinking that that "mistake" would certainly be rectified. NOPE. Ive tried to keep this light hearted for my own sanity tho im sure it will not seem that way. All in all id give 2 stars. Flash Electric came to us as a recommendation though i absolutely could not in good conscience recommend further. This review had nothing to do with cost of this particular project. That will stay with us. Communication and the lack thereof due to inability to work with a woman. And the absolute flat out refusal to pay for repairs that his company were 100% responsible for.
