Your crew were able to determine that the duct was, indeed, obstructed and by a very large amount of debris. The previous company had not cleaned it at all. Our dryer now works better than it had since the day it was installed. I should also mention that your men were very courteous and friendly. We will definitely use your service again in the future.

I will spare you pictures of the "before" but believe me when I say it was horrific. Late last night I googled Stanley Steemer and the Winston Salem location came up. I got an online quote of $150 that would include one bedroom and one hallway. I scheduled an appointment for the very next day with an arrival window of 12-5:00. I called on the day of the appointment just to confirm. She was very polite, well spoken and helpful and we were all set. I opted in for texting and when they were on the way, I got a text with his GPS trackable location and name. Sawandi arrived around 1:00. He was all smiles and introduced himself. He came in, talked about what he would do and explained the after care instructions. He also said $150 is the minimum but there was enough room to add bacteria killing sanitizer and freshener. Yes please! I can't go in yet because it needs 24-48 hours to dry but it looks great and it smells clean, not even a hint of the previous odor. It smells light and fresh without being too perfumey. I took an after picture of a small section. I highly recommend this company and if you need anything done, ask for Sawandi Kirby. He was fantastic.

I got it fixed by johns plumbing who was here installing a H2O neutralizer anyway for $35. It took 10 minutes. Don't go to a dryer vent company for repairs!

A tree unexpectedly took down my power line on a Saturday and pulled the entire power meter and pole off my house. Since it was a weekend my usual electrician wasn't available and he recommended Volt Doctors. Their 24 hr dispatcher immediately answered and they had an electrician on site within two hours on a Saturday evening. Erik, helped get my generator running and hooked up, and an hour after that I had an estimate and repair plan in hand. On Sunday and Monday Summer was in frequent contact with updates and by Monday afternoon the repair was complete and good as new! The job came in under the projected time and under budget, so they reduced the cost to the real hours worked. I can't speak highly enough about Volt Doctors, THIS is how you run a business!

I have never experienced a cleaning company that I had to chase like this one or where the owner is 100% invisible from beginning to end and never exhibited any appreciation for the business or even once asked me how the cleanings were going after a few cleanings. Owner never asked for feedback. Perhaps it was because my location (Durham) was on the "fringe" of the owner's service area and the inadequate quality of services and customer service she provided me wouldn't impact her business. I DID provide unsolicited feedback to the owner regarding the issues. Below is my experience with A Cleaner Home. Before I hired this company, I was assured by the owner's estimator that quality checks were performed periodically. I used this company for several months and a quality check was never done. Some tasks that were advertised on the company website for a Regularly Schedule Cleaning were not performed, i.e., the hardwood/tile floors were never swept or vacuumed prior to being wet mopped; glass tops were hit and miss, inconsistently cleaned. I was paying for cleaning services that included the company providing cleaning products and cleaning tools. At times, the cleaners asked to use my vacuum cleaner and cleaning products. The owner did not provide the two cleaners who were assigned to clean my home with working, functional equipment/tools, i.e., mop pads are frail and extremely worn and ineffective in use. Cleaners asked to use my vacuum for rugs at times because their vacuum was broken. The cleaners even complained about the condition of their tools. I had to ask the cleaners to NOT rinse out their mop pads in the kitchen sink. They started out using the kitchen sink for this even after the sink had been cleaned and did not re-clean/sanitize afterwards and until I asked them to use the laundry sink instead. One of the cleaners, we will call her Sandy, is a bull in a china closet. Her execution of cleaning is highly questionable. She doesn't receive simple request very well at all. I had to ask Sandy multiple times to stop leaving too much water on the hardwood and tile floors. When I mentioned this about the 3rd time to her, she turned her back to me and walked to another part of the house when I was in mid-sentence. This was extremely disrespectful to me and my house. My only regret in this instance is that I didn't ask her to leave my house immediately for being so disrespectful. Sandy's method for cleaning the floors was to remove the top from the spray bottle and "chuck", yes "chuck", the bottle contents across the hardwood floors rather than spray the cleaner on the floor. The first time I saw her "chuck", she then walked around the same floor, in the liquid, for about 10 minutes before she put her hand on a mop handle. Needless to say, I asked her to not "chuck" the product on the floors. If there was something Sandy thought she needed, rather than ask, she would start opening up cabinets until I was forced to ask her what she needed in order for her to stop going through my cabinets. Due to all of the above, I asked the owner of A Cleaner Home to permanently take my home off the schedule for future cleaning.

I inspected the next morning and was not satisfied. I paid for the fridge to be cleaned but upon inspection there was a large mess of chocolate ice cream or pudding still sitting in the fridge. Also there was lots of cat hair still stuck to the outside of the fridge. I did not feel cleaning the windows was even attempted even though I specifically requested that service. To her credit, Teri did come back and remedy these issues. But when I re-inspected after the second cleaning I found that the blinds upstairs were no longer functional and had to be replaced. I cannot recommend this service.

I contacted Mebane Electrical and after a short discussion, I was told they would come back out to finish the job. I never recieved an apology. hey folks my heat pump was limping on one leg after 19 years. kin folks recommended Mebane Air. I called and explained my problem. Supervisor was out to recommend what I needed that afternoon. I agreed and we set up a time. Mebane Air was on time as promised with equipment and a crew that is great. I went with the Trane xl14c packaged unit, and what a great choice. Supervisors and Staff are of great quality. Working crew came in and installed in one day. Crew members are very polite and know what they are doing. They get the job done and clean up all the mess, and haul away all the old equipment if desired. Installation is neat and clean. I agreed and Phil got someone out very quickly that day, the service technicians name was Andrew. Andrew diagnosed the issue and stated to me when I asked how much the repair would cost all included "around $1400" including freon, labor and the failed part which should be warrantable. I called Phil a few hours later on Monday the 9th the to see what the estimate was and was told I'd have it soon. Fast forward to the following monday March 16th, i received no quote and had to reach back out to Phil again. Phil texted me a quote, no parts and labor break down, just a number that was approx. 40% higher ($2030) than what his employee stated to me. I asked for details and when Phil gave them to me I stated to Phil i was not interested in his service. Phil hung up on me. Phil then texted me and said I owe $160 for the diagnosis. I asked Phil to show me in writing where I agreed to that number, Phil responded "someone may have forgotten to tell you about the $50 leak check fee". Phil then stated I can pay the $110 via Square. I feel like Phil and Triple A HVAC service attempted to take advantage of me as a consumer. I will not use their services and would highly recommend anyone who is looking at using them to be very careful and make sure you get everything in writing from this business prior to giving them any type of payment.

In early 2015, the heat wasn't working in a 2-storey, 2-HVAC unit rental house. I had ARS come out and they told me I had to replace both units for $14,000 and redo all of the duct work. Someone suggested I ask C&J for a quote. They came out and told me all that was wrong was some of ducts had come lose under the crawl space and the bottom unit needed cleaning. Price? $250. The house was toasty warm the entire winter and I haven't heard a peep from the tenants this summer.
