I've had 4 root canals in the last four years, three from Dr. Menke and one from Dr. Arens at the Dublin and Westerville offices, and each time, I have left feeling truly cared for. Professionalism and expertise is top tier. Dr. Menke has done the last three root canals for me and makes it a point to check on his patients the next day personally to see how things are. When was the last time a medical professional did that in our world? Best guy ever! The first root canal I had was an emergency two days before Xmas in '22 during a blizzard. A two-hour drive turned into three, and my whole head throbbed with pain. Walking out into a field and lying down was definitely on the table. If you know, you know. Dr. Arens took one look at me and in one minute, the pain was gone. The endodontist in Chillicothe I had gone to first actually had numbed my mouth, then looked down and said, "No. I'm not doing it. Your mouth is too small. Just have it pulled." Yep. Zero stars. Do not recommend. Dr. Arens saved my tooth. Despite my frequent brushing and flossing, old fillings have broken or fallen out, requiring more dental work as I've gotten older. Despite the 2-hr drive, Central Ohio Endodonics will always be my first choice for future work. The office staff is also kind and professional - very empathetic - and thoughtful, extending the exemplary dental care to the finish line. I appreciate everyone there. One way this experience could have been improved would be to provide a cushion behind your neck during the procedure. So when I can to the appointment, the lady said okay, I understand we are doing a root canal, and clean the left side of your mouth. and was confused because I was there for something completely different, I think one of the things that should be done is have something written out which plan of action is being taken at each appointment, so their is no confusion, especially in cases when their is a lot of work to be done. They made it work with my insurance, that is the thing that I am most grateful about this place, Dr Papp is legendary, I have a maybe a handful of dentist in my life, and from my experience, he is truly, a cut above the rest. when I went to my 4th appointment, the root canal that final got done, was a supper-smooth process, he dialogs great with customers, and he is world class. If you get a choice I would go With "big papa!" That's what I call him in my head. This location doesn't discuss preventive care much with patients, so it is important to make sure you ask them, to keep the work they do intact. If you make an appointment, they will not leave you in the dark, the with email you and text you often to remind you, so they have great follow-up, But If you can't make an appointment let them know because they have a big customer base They bake cookies fresh every day so they definitely make an effort, to make a great atmosphere, But just a few things to work out.

She communicated what she was doing throughout the process and the procedure was relatively painless. I'm writing this almost 24 hours later and I feel very little discomfort. This is the first morning I woken up to in a long time without throbbing from that tooth. My insurance company can be difficult to work with. Outside of the procedure I can say the office kept me informed of their efforts with the pre-authorization and even managed to get me in earlier than my scheduled appointment. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and the treatment I received.

I was awaken Friday night in terrible pain and called their office at 12:30 am, knowing I would get their VM. I wanted to see if they were open on Saturday. Someone called me Saturday morning and said they were closed Saturday's but the Dr, rearranged his schedule Monday to get me in. I was very thankful. What I love is that Dr. Ettrich is super cool and laid back, very personable and easy to talk to. It's almost like he's a long lost buddy you're visiting. Dr. Ettrich is VERY gentle and will do whatever you need or it takes so you are completely relaxed and comfortable during your procedure. He specializes and only does root canals and my dentist personally recommended him and now I know why. This is my 2nd visit to Dr. Ettrich and while I really like him, hopefully there are no more root canals in my future. I highly recommend him if you ever find yourself in need of a root canal, you can't go wrong. Honestly the only "eh" part is getting the novacaine shot, but even that is easy in the way he gives them to you and for my big baby butt to say that DOES say alot, trust me.

I was scared having heard so many nightmare stories about how painful and intrusive it is and I was told that if I wanted it done right, I needed an endodontist. I came to Kathy and Kevin (the Younkins) and from the first consultation, they put me at ease. They're soothing, gentle and really nice. I don't know what all their fancy equipment does but it seems super high tech. I don't know what other people go through, but the whole experience was a breeze. The only pain i felt was a little soreness for a couple days after which is no big deal if you take the ibuprofen they give you.

The first root canal was done elsewhere and it was an awful experience. When the tooth didn't heal up I went in search of a new dentist and found Dr Webster. So glad I found him! Since then he has fixed the area that still hurt from the other practice. He has also saved a badly fractured tooth on the opposite side of my mouth with a successful canal and today has preformed another root canal on my back molar. I will fully admit I was terrified to have a second root canal after the experience with the first dentist. However, my experience with Dr Webster was nothing but positive. He listens to you concerns and makes you feel at ease. Both he and is staff treat you with kindness. He has this technique of numbing the gum that is so much more effective than any other doctor Ive ever been too. I mean even the "numbing" shots he administered are barely felt. His honesty and professionalism cut him out of the equation, and he referred me to an oral surgeon instead. Even though I didn't become a patient of his, I'd still recommend him. It seems like a really great practice, and he's a very personable and professional Endodontist. When I did compare root canal procedure rates, they're definitely comparable. Check them out.
