Everytime I go here I'm greeted with professional staff and outstanding service! The servers are very respectful and appetizers and entrees come out at perfect times. The food itself all brings up unique flavors and I encourage trying new things each time as there's so much to the menu! The inside of the restaurant takes Japanese themes and incorporates a sort of modern style to it that fits the location and time. Our go-to dine in place at the Irvine Spectrum. Service is always good and the ambiance is nice. Food: -Toro Sushi: comes with two pieces and topped with relished chopped wasabi. It's the best toro sushi I've ever had and I've had some incredible ones in Little Tokyo. The temperature, the fatty-melt-in-your-mouth texture and the added light citrus from the topping makes it heavenly. No dipping of any sauce required. 5/5 -Salmon Sushi- great temperature and taste. The rice is warm and vinegary enough. Perfect. 5/5 -Crunchy (shrimp tempura) roll is my 5-year-old's favorite dish. She loves it and devours the whole thing, coming from a picky eater, that's a win! 5/5 -Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna: huge topping of spicy tuna on top a nice bed of crispy rice. I like that the rice is made well and not hard like some places. They add a light sauce and it's fantastic. The spicy tuna could be a little more flavorful but nonetheless it's good. 4.5/5 Their sliced pickled ginger is good too. Not too "spicy" and has a sweet taste to it. Highly recommend! read more

A bit overpriced and service is good... they also treat my teen good when she comes in with her friends and I find that is not very normal for most restaurants when it comes to serving teens on their own. Most restaurants are kind of rude /not very accommodating to teens when they don't have parents with them. Which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3. Eating at Robata Wasa was a pleasant surprise, we were in the area to try and snag some pokemon cards at the nearby target and decided to grab some sushi on the way out. The eel, salmon belly, and toro were delicious as well as the Natsu Salmon and Spicy Yellowtail Tataki roll. We honestly weren't planning to eat as much as we did but our waitress Vivianne made all of her recommendations sound so good that we ended up leaving stuffed. The cocktails were also really delicious, I am a sucker for Yuzu and the la patrona japonesa drink hit the spot. Giving this spot 3 stars due to it being hit or miss when it comes to service. Sometimes you'll get your food fast, and sometimes you won't. It does get pretty busy during lunch hours, due to lots of corporate businesses being close by. You are able to get seated pretty easily but it might take a little over an hour to receive and eat simple roles. As for variety, there aren't a ton of rolls to choose from, but the fish is decent. I've never felt sick, or had the impression that I was eating old fish. I come here for convenience, since my office is down the street. It's located at Irvine Spectrum mall. The closest parking would be by the Apple Store or carousel. read more
