Another wonderful experience here! Friday lunch, no wait. Absolutely delicious. Our favs are the chicken karaage and Little Ferry roll. Even their spicy tuna roll is tasty. Awesome staff. Quick and attentive service. Can't wait til we come back. Til next time!

Some creamy bubbly before my meal. Oh, and the drink is a Melon Cream Soda.

ALL of the employees are so freaking awesome! We just loved being here. And what came next shouldn't have been a surprise. The sushi was phenomenal. I also ordered some non-alcoholic creamy bubbly before my meal. Oh, and the drink is a Melon Cream Soda. The close quarters may require combat, but the father-daughter beside us were so nice. Not too loud but lots of fun! We will definitely come back here!

We have been wanting to try Little Ferry Sushi based on some family members' recommendations and was really impressed by how fast and efficient the service was. Our first order came out within 5 minutes, and we were completely finished with our meal in about 45 minutes total, which is perfect when you want quality sushi without a long wait. This spot is really great for intimate dinners, it is a bit cramped inside though so not too ideal for large groups. We ordered the Little Ferry Roll, Sunset Roll, Jumbo Spider Roll, and Salmon Sashimi, and everything came out fresh and well seasoned. The Sunset Roll stood out with its crispy, freshly fried shrimp tempura that still tasted light and clean. The Little Ferry Roll had a great fried garlic addition that added a subtle smokiness, I loved how it elevated the roll without overpowering it. The Jumbo Spider Roll had a fried soft-shell crab that tasted fresh and flavorful, not too oily nor heavy. The salmon sashimi was fresh and nicely cut, although it was thinner than what I would expect given the pricepoint. Overall, this spot offers better quality than your average sushi restaurant, paired with impressively quick service.

I really enjoyed the interior design and the service. The place felt very clean and had a cozy, homey vibe, like a good local mom and pop restaurant that I'd always want to support. Little Ferry Roll: This was my favorite roll of the night. I really enjoyed the fried, crispy garlic pieces paired with the roll. I love garlic, and it added a rich, garlicky flavor. I would definitely get this again. Sunset Roll: A pretty good roll overall. Nothing really stood out, but I would've appreciated larger slices of fish, as they were quite thin. Salmon Sashimi: Pretty standard. I wish the slices were bigger, as they were smaller than what most places usually serve. Spider Roll: This was my second favorite roll. The shrimp tempura and soft-shell crab were super crispy, and the masago added a nice touch to the roll.

BEST Chicken Karaage of all time.

The best chicken karaage OF MY LIFE. The meat is so tender, juicy, and flavorful. The skin is perfectly crisp. I scraped the roof of my mouth with it, but I don't care. I would do it again. A little squeeze of lemon to cut the tasty fat, and a perfectly sized side dish of creamy dressing complete this winner of an appetizer. My husband and I order it every time we come and it is always delicious and more than satisfying. Service from Brian (Bryan?) is always prompt, attentive, and very courteous.

I came here because some friends suggested this place and I have to say... it was not great. To give you some background, I consider myself a bit of a sushi purist - I don't really like rolls and I only really like sashimi and nigiri. This is definitely for people who like rolls and rolls only. The restaurant is very small but there is ample parking. The ambiance is loud and casual so if you're looking for rolls on a casual night, this place is for you! I have to admit, the service is very friendly and everyone is attentive - it's just such a bummer to me that the sushi quality is not up to par. Now I did not get sick off eating their sushi but I did notice that the sushi was not as fresh as I would like. Another thing is that are on top of the rolls but all the food does not come out at the same time so if you're a purist like me... expect to wait until everyone is done to get your order.

Total for 2 crunch rolls and edamame :/

Second time eating here since it's close to work. Last time I forgot to take pics or post a review. Today's the day :) Did a phone order and was told 20 minutes- def took long to complete the orders (2 orders) I recommend you either order online or call in since they are busy. Both times I enjoyed my food. They do offer some lunch specials but be prepared to pay full price if you're just wanting specific rolls. For 2 crunch rolls and edamame it was 35 bucks. They also charge you for spicy mayo which most places I go to do not charge for this. Overall, the location is in a good spot with plenty of parking. It's on the small side inside and has no outdoor seating areas. Sushi is tasty though!

Wow! Such a great family food find. In an attempt to satisfy the kiddie's udon cravings and mom & dad's sushi/bento cravings, we came across this cozy & quaint Japanese sushi spot. Located in the Lake Forest Village shopping center ~ near Albertsons, but in a back corner on the far side of the plaza, is this hidden gem. When you enter, you are greeted by the warm & friendly staff. The restaurant is cozy with cute decor. The service was excellent, with attentive staff checking-in on our meal thruout the night. For appetizers, we started with some garlic edamame and yaki gyoza ~ both of which were really flavorful and kiddie approved. My son ordered the house udon, while my daughter opt'd for the beef version. Both agreed that the portion size was perfect and the broth was savory. My hubs and I both got combination bento boxes. Salmon teriyaki & spicy tuna roll (with extra eel sauce on the side) for me and beef teriyaki & spicy tuna roll for the mister. We liked that we got a full roll portion (8 pieces) vs the dinky half/4 piece sizes you sometimes see at other sushi spots. We both loved our choices and as you can tell from the pic, the portion was plenty. The sushi was really fresh and you can taste the quality ingredients. We would DEFINITELY come back! A total must try.

Great little hole in the wall sushi spot. Everything comes out fresh, from the sushi to the apps. I recommend the Little Ferry Roll. Service is also quick and all the servers seem very kind. Overall, a great local sushi/japanese spot with fair prices!

This is one of our favorite restaurants, and it never disappoints. It had been a while, but my husband and I finally got to visit again today. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious.

I was visiting Irvine office from South Bay of LA County. I missed lunch so searched sushi. Warning against following GPS b/c the location is in the middle of the shopping center on the corner of the build, not at the street like my phone said. Space is intimate and I felt bad taking a 4-top as a single dinner. I walked right to a table but others had to wait outside. Staff is nice and after a short wait to give my food order, everything came quick. The garlic edamame has REAL garlic pieces, not a hot sauce mixture, YUM. Carrpaccio was melt-in-your-mouth good! Everything very fresh. Spicy tuna just right and not "burn off your taste buds spicy"! Lots of free parking, so I will need to come back for happy hour!

From the moment we arrived, the Little Ferry Sushi Staff were super attentive and friendly! Since the restaurant was cozy, we were lucky to snag the last table during an early dinner at 5pm on a Friday night. Every dish was fresh and tasty, thus, I forgot to take a pic of the Chicken Karaage ($8.95) because I was too busy stuffing my face. I'd prefer the spicy tuna to be spicier, but nonetheless, I'll definitely be back! Huge thank you to Yuki and everyone at Little Ferry Sushi for a delicious meal!

The crispy tofu was honestly my favorite simple but really good, you can never really go wrong with fried tofu. The beef with scallions was pretty spicy, which I personally liked. The pork belly though was disappointing to the point that we didn't even finish it. The steamed fish was decent, but there were a lot of big bones so you really have to be careful while eating it. It was also pretty expensive, around $55, and the portion size was just okay. The minced pork fried rice tasted like your typical fried rice, nothing memorable. The place gets really packed during dinner time, so expect a wait and maybe come before you get super hungry. It was also kind of hard to get the servers' attention, probably because they were busy with how crowded it gets. Overall, I'd say it's mid, especially for the price.

They're located in a high foot traffic plaza. Parking will be difficult to find. Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Saturday evening around 19:30, and it was extremely busy. Luckily we were seated within 15 min. I love the vibes here. It's a bit loud, but you can still have a conversation. They have a large indoor area and a nice bar. Everything is kept clean. Service: Thank you Mia for taking care of us! She's very attentive, and throughput was surprisingly quick & efficient despite how busy it was. She also checked on us multiple times and refilled our waters. Food & drinks: We absolutely enjoyed everything! Safe to say the hype is real. 1) Curry Crab Omelette - This is my favorite dish. This was presented on a small skillet with rice in a separate bowl. The omelette was drenched in curry. The curry was seasoned well, semi thick consistency, with a hint of spice. 2) Vietnamese Shaken Beef (one w/ garlic noodles & one w/ rice) - I personally prefer the shaken beef at Vox. For whatever reason, the beef seemed to be overcooked bc it was very chewy. The vegetables tasted as expected, and the red rice was really delicious. The garlic noodles were good. 3) Lemongrass Tofu - The tofu was cooked well and seasoned deliciously. 4) 5-Spice Roasted Chicken - Exactly what the description says. The roasted chicken was huge. We weren't sure exactly what it was seasoned with, but we all devoured it. Yum! 5) Lychee Milk Punch - It's not dinner without alcohol. I thought it was pretty strong with the rum & whiskey. It's more on the sweeter end from the lychee & pineapple. The foam wasn't too thick, and it paired well with the drink. Pricing: These are elevated prices. We'll definitely be back for dinner, and we can't wait to try their brunch. Highly recommend joining the Kei Rewards!
