Moved from SF to LA. $1500 for full packing and delivery of 1-room apartment's worth of items. Was quoted "you will get your items in 2 days." Then gaslighted me and said "we did not promise you that." Did not give me clear estimates of time, and I had to pull teeth, messaging them every single day for a week until I got my items a week later. Plants almost died. They broke: The drawer's legs, a lamp's base, caused a 4 feet upright plant to collapse forward by 45 degrees. Stay away from them. read more

If you want to be scammed use this company, we recently relocated out of state & the owner of the company stated on 2 occasions @ our home that ALL of our items would fit - he was wrong!!! On the day of our move, the supervisor also stated it would fit, he too was wrong!!! We signed a secondary contract to have the remaining items transported @ a later time, however the field supervisor underestimated our remaining items and the owner of the company PROMISED to get a carrier to deliver our items. We gave a large deposit & 5 days before our items should have been delivered the owner, Jason stated he lost his license & was not allowed to transport out of state!!! He moved our items to a public storage facility without our permission & refused to deliver our items. We requested our deposit back and was told on several occasions the refund was done, however that too was a lie- Jadon did the refund 2 days before we finally received NOT 7 business days that he told us! Jason also put our items under a different name, since he is in trouble with the storage facility he used. Again- hemy words, Jason is a lair and can not be trusted- especially since he told us he lost his business at the Simi Town center & yet his website stated he didn't! So if you want to be disappointed use them, my suggestion look elsewhere, It's crazy how you respond Jason, I didn't tell all the dirty TRUTH of what you did to us!!! How is it you told us that you lost your 1555 address & that's why you couldn't complete a signed contract - maybe I should upload the text??? Or, how you never sent a copy of the contract for the storage unit, since you already knew you did something illegal? It's ok, more to come for you! read more

Our move could not have gone any smoother. My wife and I had to move over 1400 miles from Los Angeles, CA to Austin, TX. The price that Jason quoted me at the way beginning is exactly the same as the amount that I paid at the end. Everything got there without so much as a scratch including some expensive desktop computers, computer monitors, big screen tv, glass bookshelf, and my car (hitched to the back of the truck). I've never seen any other moving company wrap things up so nicely. By the time my stuff was placed into the truck, you could just tell it wasn't going to get a scratch. Jason was very responsive. He always answered my phone calls immediately, even if he was in the middle of something. John, who drove the truck all the way here, was also very easy to get in touch with. He kept us updated so that we always knew where the truck was and how far away everything was. Did I mention that they did this entire move in less than two days from start to finish? What it comes down to is that Jason really cares about providing a high quality service. The people he hires reflect that as well. Roadrunner Moving is only getting a 1-star because I can't give them a NEGATIVE-10! My nightmare began on Sept 30, 2020 when my 2-Bedroom household furnishings were packed up in eastern Washington for a cross country move to western North Carolina. It is now Dec 4th and I'm still waiting for delivery!!! To be more precise, I'm waiting in the dark in an empty newly purchased home wondering when my goods will arrive. Despite reaching out to Roadrunner numerous times I have gotten through to the twice..once by phone and once by email. And I was told my furniture was "en route" to the east coast. That was it..end of conversation..not where it was on the road and when I might expect delivery. Just that it was "en route" to the east coast. Which was what I expected when I left Washington state for North Carolina 9-weeks ago!! After paying a down payment and another up-front fee upon packing which has totaled nearly $4500 I still have no clue where my furniture is!! Bottom line..AVOID ROADRUNNER like the PLAGUE!!! They are certainly not worth the aggravation. The guys were super friendly and called in some reinforcements and got me all moved in 1 day! With daily life 3 kids, running a business and doing lots of construction on my new place we just were completely unprepared Saturday morning. Roadrunner company/ the owner has completely took my trust and my property to abuse and use for self gain. I hired him in June 2019 to place my things into storage. He told me it was in a warehouse where a forklift will be utilized to retrieve my things aka Attention to detail. For a full year and some change right before my out of state move I saw the damage not only from the boxes but my property. I am missing A wooden long chair, end tables, the other half of my couch, my rug 3 piece set, another half of my golden handmade panel, countless broken items and another missing property that is just outstanding. I am beyond upset with the lies this company has placed on my family and myself. The owner (Jason Ellis) abused my heath for his financial, and personal gained. I do not recommend this fraud of a company. He refused to let me into my own storage and wanted to charge me on or about $170 to go through my things, refused to give me the information regarding where my property was storaged at, the storage number from attention to detail, told attention to detail that I wasn't to talk to them regarding my property on their property and countless other fraudulent actions, misrepresentation of a business and to top it all off his business was shut down due to COVID-19 in March and continue to take monthly payments until recently. (I just found out all of this on the day my property arrived to my new address out of state on 30sept2020) A claims form will be submitted later on this week along with a lawsuit and I already filed a police report on the theft and use of my property. Once we moved our furniture to our new place they helped my mother with her bed, they didn't leave until everything was in place. BE CAREFUL! We scheduled Roadrunner for our move. They were supposed to be at our house at 8am, which turned into 8-11am, which turned into 3-6pm. I spoke with Ron who told be to call the office. When I told them at 2pm, that I booked another moving company for the next day, they called back and said that they will be at my house in 50 min. They made great time on getting things moved into my unit despite the Pod being a decent walk from the elevators. The reviews that say they charge double the estimate were true for us. Our estimate was $1,300 and the second estimate once the truck was loaded was $3,100. We ended up settling on $2,300. We spent at least 45 minutes on "paper work" and negotiations. They made us pay cash and made us pay prior to emptying the truck. They forgot to unload two of our pieces, a mirror and the bottom to a side table. They asked me to drive an hour and pick up from their office because they felt I posted an unfair review. The owner, Jason emailed to say he felt bad and wanted to make things right by returning our things. He returned our things but the restoration hardware mirror was severely damaged. He genuinely disagrees that the issues with the estimate are their fault. I agreed to adjust my review from 1 star after he delivered our stuff. Overall, if you don't have expensive furniture and just have a quick move they might be good but if you have nice furniture and want certainty of your final bill I would use a well known national mover. Road Runner Moving, A.K.A Polaris moving systems... Awful. I don't leave reviews, good or bad, but it would be a disservice not to warn others. The initial call with Steve Louis seemed to go well. He gave an estimate that seamed reasonable and a timeframe of 10-14 days for a CA to east coast move. (not business days, I checked). We later called back to mention that we live on a tight road, at which point he google earthed our address and said we would need a shuttle for an extra $600. Ok, understandable, but if it's that easy, why not check when providing the initial estimate? The truck arrived and packing went as expected. We made it to our new home with some supplies to cook and sleep on the floor for the expected 2 or 3 nights based on the time frame given by Steve. Cut to 11 days later, the truck still hasn't arrived. Did I mention we are sleeping on the floor with a 10 month old and a 3 year old? And the company has no idea where the truck is or when it will arrive until 5 days prior to arrival, we called daily and got no information other than, "it's in transit." When we finally got the call that the truck was coming, we were told that due to DOT regulations there was no semi truck access and we would be charged an additional $909. They knew the address we were moving to before our stuff was even picked up, and now they inform us of an extra almost $1k charge? We were also passed around between different customer service reps every step of the way. When the truck did come (22 days after pickup), the "end to end service" we were promised over the phone, including assembly of furniture which they disassembled to move, was not done. The latest customer service rep said she would email her manager so that we could get in contact with someone who could compensate us for the lost time and over $1500 increase from the initial quote. 1 week later, still no contact because the manager, "hasn't had time yet," though one of their managers did have time to reply to a review we left on google telling us to contact the company directly. The review was linked with out order number and it would have been easy for the manager to see we had done that. In the end, we feel this business is incredibly slimy. They treated us as a mark to extract money from rather than a customer, using our belongings as a hostage. The initial estimate was either incompetent or, in my opinion, blatantly dishonest in order to win the contract. The time frame we were promised was absolutely ludicrous. read more

They had had to rent a truck themselves at the last minute but called to let us know what was happening as they arrived just a few minutes outside of their promised time frame - and then they boogied! After a super pleasant quoting process, everything went downhill on the actual move-in day. The mover in charge did nothing but badmouth the company the whole time he was there, while he simultaneoulsy was on his cell phone making pot sales he said was his sideline job. Despite having a glass dining table listed on my inventory, he got to the end of the load in and said he didn't have the proper crating materials to bring the table and wanted to leave it. He finally agreed to wrap it in card board, but then rolled it down the stairs, rather than carrying it to the truck. It arrived with a small fracture in it. Other damage was more severe: a leg on my desk was broken, the top of a TV stand was marred, and most frustrating of all was the promised reassembly of furniture they disassembled for shipping was not done. A very kind local mover the company hired to help unload in the receiving location, did a very good job to try to mitigate the problems, but too much was not repairable. The poor guy had to work twice as hard as the third mover they send spent the whole time sleeping in the truck. read more

The worst move I have ever had. Besides having to report the multiple locations more than three times, the movers had the wrong location. I was overcharged (not fair prices either), driver drove in the wrong direction and still charged me for their late and lost time(s).) I had less than a small room of office equipment. Both my friend and I helped move which should have made it faster. The move was from one Culver City building to Culver City building within 3 blocks of each other. The secondary job was a pickup from La Brea/Rodeo to Santa Monica Blvd and La Brea During this 4hrs, the drivers were late 20 minutes, I had multiple arguments with Jason (the owner) who also then stated I was the worst customer, not happy with anything. Reason the owner never conveyed any information thoroughly to myself, his lady office person and his drivers. She too called me, instead of my requested email and then failed to convey the correct information that I had already told Jason initially. I had to give her again the information and when I saw her work order it too was incorrect and missing information. Despite the fact that I felt bad for the drivers and tipped them well although I learned there were contradictory information. Later, I remembered they too forgot to remove items from their truck and I had to move them myself back to my previous location. This was abysmal. The only positive is it confirmed that PURE MOVING COMPANY is the best and worth any wait even if it costs me more money. Run from this company. I will warn my colleagues who I learned has used them before. read more
