Absolutely awful experience! Roadrunner had my car for 17 days before it was delivered. it was picked up 1/17 and finally delivered on 2/2. Orginally it was supposed to to be delivered on 1/24. never heard from Roadrunner. No one answers the phones on the weekends. I called Monday and I don't think they knew where my car was. It took them 4 hours to get back with me where my car was.. Then it was suppose to be delivered on 1/31. Truck broke down. Never got any updates. Then on 2/2 finally delivered Roadrunner customer service is nonexistent.Absolutely awful!! Never use them!!!! read more

Terrible. Please do not use these guys. I booked an appt for a car to be picked up on a date. Two days before car is to be shipped, I get a call saying it will now be an extra $100 in addition to the quote online. Last minute tactic. Then No communication before the day of the car shipment, and then the day the car was supposed to be picked up, I get a call at 4:30 PM saying they cannot do it today and will be there 2 days later. When I finally got someone to answer I was transferred 4xs and a very rude CSR told me the transport company had until 9pm to get to me. 2 hours later I received an email that said the name and contact information for the transport company. They are in Ohio by the time I received that information the office was closed! No call, no communication. I am moving tomorrow!! My car is still sitting in my driveway. I'm livid! $1600 paid in full and now something else to worry about with a cross country move! At this point not a damn thing I can do but start calling and yelling in the morning. Trusted this company to deliver my truck the way they received it. Had to pay extra because my truck was customized and had a roof top tent (they even asked to send them the first picture to see what they will work on). Driver called me when he got to wyoming that my RTT got blown away and was destroyed. RTT is built to be driven. I drove my truck all over the US for 3.5 years with the RTT on with no issue. This company isn't even willing to compensate for the damage as it was not a "permanent" part of the car. There was obviously scratches on the roof due to what happened. The RTT was bolted on and was never removed since it was installed 3.5 years ago. Terrible experience as a first time mover for the military assignment. Besides the damages, they were also late and had to spend my thanks giving waiting for it to be delivered. I should have looked them up through yelp before giving them my money. read more

The saga continues. If they give you an estimate don't count on it. They upped it another 70$ so an increase of 170$ from original quote and a day late on pickup. dispatchers are dismissive. Had the most terrible experience with this company DO NOT use them!!!! No one picks up the phone or responds to messages or emails. Eric Waldman completely ignores my messages. The driver extorted an extra $150 from me upon picking up the car and refused to take it unless he received extra payment. He claimed it was illegal to have items in the car, when the contract specifically states up to 100 pounds of personal belongings are permitted. This was complete bribery and the company has not responded to my messages about what happened. They should do the right thing and refund my $150 and take it up with the driver! We booked through RoadRunner to transport our 16 year old son's car from Arizona to Texas. We entered into a contract with Booking Representative William Lopez 3-4 weeks prior to our departure date. He couldn't provide an exact pick up date, but made the car "available for transport" in their system several days in advance to ensure it would be gone before our journey to Texas. Mr. Lopez promised it would be plenty of time as he understood our circumstances. Well, today is the final day before our departure and the car is sitting in the hotel parking lot...NOT assigned to a carrier. My son is a brand new driver and terrified to make the 18 hour journey. I've emailed and called Mr. Lopez several times over the past week, yet he refuses to respond as he probably knows he is in the wrong. In addition, don't even bother with their customer service department (Cynthia and Allison). They offered no assistance and refused to escalate my request to a supervisor. The only thing they did correctly was cancel my booking which took them all of 10 seconds. Luckily, I located Scott's Auto Carrier at the last minute and Melissa was completely astonished by the aforementioned lack of service too. As a result, she escalated my request and had her carrier arrive to get the car within 3 hours of my call. Thank you to Melissa and Scott's Auto Carrier for saving the day. This is just summary of our experience as I assume others have experienced better. The initial service, booking ease, price, and online tracking system was great. DO NOT use this company - the practice bait and switch with contract pricing - you sign a contract for a price and call you hours before pick up saying they can only continue if you pay and additional amount of money. We had a contract signed (not a quote - a signed confirmed contract) for months and received a call the day after original pick up informing us we had to pay $339 extra to get the car picked up. Additionally, the rescheduled pick up was then delayed an additional 3 days with lies and unfulfilled promises - and roadrunner would never answer our calls or return our messages asking for help. Car was delivered late with further horrific communication. It is common practice for this company to perform bait and switch contract pricing. I should have done more research. read more

We scheduled with this company a month in advance. We called to get updates a week and a day in advance to confirm everything was good and told there were no issues. A couple of days before our shipping we were assigned a carrier but not told who it was. Day of pickup we called to see what was going on with our pickup and told we would get a call 2-3 hours before the carrier picked up and that they can pickup as late as 9 at night. The day goes by and around 2 we get an email with our carriers details. We call them and no answer. Fast forward to around 3 we call again and no answer we also try to call roadrunner and no one answers and both companies say they are closed. At the end of the day we did not get picked up and had to drive our truck ourselves as the carrier cancelled. The only good thing was that we got refunded with no hassle. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Car was picked up a day late when I already left the state with no communication. Car hasn't even arrived yet and it's been 8 days past expected delivery date(also no communication). The tracker they provide doesn't even work. I had to track down the drives number and manager myself... yes, they use a third party to transport. My doors have been left unlocked the entire trip. When I reach out to road runner they say there's no manager to speak with until I put a hold the charge and a manager some how now is available. Please don't make the same mistake as me! I have shipped my vehicles several times before and this has to be the worst experience! The communication is terrible. They were 1 day late picking up my vehicle without any prior notice of being late. I had to rebook my flight as a result. When speaking to customer service, they were not friendly or understanding at all. One of the representatives hung up on my husband. They are now 2 days late from the stated delivery date. After calling the shipping company that they are using to transport my vehicle several times (JR Trans Inc), I am now finding out that my vehicle will be further delayed with no explanation. For Road Runner's service, I'd give *0-stars* but 1-star given because my vehicle actually arrived (though credit for is more attributable to the actual shipper than Road Runner) even though it was picked up 1 day late and arrived 1 day late. The reservation, booking, and payment process is simple...then everything turns into a dumpster fire from there once they have your accepted contract. Once they broker the job to an actual shipper, Road Runner just throws up their hands and says "contact the shipper directly" and makes ZERO effort to help with any problems...this is assuming you actually get to talk with a phenomenally unhelpful human. It's like herding cats trying to work with Road Runner... because cats can't talk, cats can't help you, and cats can't answer a phone or return emails...and neither does Road Runner. Details of my vehicle (custom features that affect shipping) were not provided to the contractor they assigned the job to. Their communication is non-existent after they charge you except for useless auto-generated email/texts that are 100% not helpful. The account managers NEVER answer phone calls or return messages. Never ever consider this outfit. I foolishly contacted them to transport my car. i was quoted a price. A few days later I was given a pick up date, but alas (they claim) because of federal regs there was a price increase. On the day before the pick up I received a email and text notifying me my pick up date was delayed and low and behold there was another price increase. Like a dumbbell I said ok lets get it done and gave my credit card number. The next e mail I received provided a phone number to confirm my vehicle pick up and of course another price increase. Of course that phone number was not available to accept any calls. To summarize I was quoted $1335, then $1410, finally $1495. My car sits, I am unable to reach anyone regarding my transport. When I called the next day to determine what happened I was on hold for over an hour three consecutive times. Since then I have called several times and been on hold for over four hours. I paid my deposit to have Road Runner arrange the transportation of a vehicle purchased out of state! They took my deposit and booked the pick up. The day of pick up, I called several times to confirm that the company they outsourced too would be there to pick it up. No call from driver and no communication via email that there was a problem. We paid on My 20th and to date transport never assigned and they left my daughter to travel across country alone for 3 days. I'm extremely upset and disappointed in the lack of service and failed promises. Especially not being able to get anyone to care or explain once you had booked. Do not use Roadrunner! Worst experience of my life!! Craig Erickson of Roadrunner told me my car would be in good hands. This company did not transport my car. They are a "booking" company. My car was actually picked up by "Vehicle Transport Inc." When they picked up my car, they took a bunch of pictures and I had it in perfect condition. The guy actually took it to a hub location and it didn't even get shipped for a whole week. I could have had it out of the elements for an entire week. When it arrived, it was in horrible condition, covered in dirt and mud and you could not see out of the windows. I realize it was an outdoor transport, but OMG, really? I have had cars transported before but this was horrible. Plus, Craig Erickson told me that Roadrunner gives "Door to Door" service. This was NOT door to door service as they made my brother drive 20 minutes to pick up my car. I have been trying to reach Roadrunner for many weeks now and NO ONE WILL RETURN MY PHONE CALLS. RED FLAG #1: "Changing Estimate" Estimate jumps from $885 to $945! I gave the same pick up location and drop off location during initial communication, no changes whatsoever. Estimate suddenly increased closer to booking. RED FLAG #2: "Drop-Off Date" When Mr. N.P-R. processed my booking papers, he didn't write down the DROP-OFF DATE in the paperwork. I immediately requested that it be noted in the paperwork because it is very CRUCIAL that the vehicle arrive on the exact date! This was his response... "We do not write down the drop-off date in the booking but it is noted in our INTERNAL COMMUNICATION." I told him, I will be flying from my current location to the drop off point where I will be staying just for two days, a very small window... I will book flights and hotels for this purpose and it is therefore of UTMOST IMPORTANCE that the vehicle arrive on the specific day I requested. His response: "That's fine." They will NEVER put down drop off dates in the paperwork because they know it will probably not happen. RED FLAG #3: "Assigning Carriers" When they say "We have not assigned a carrier for you"... what they actually mean is that "We haven't found someone who is willing to bring your car from Point A to Point B." ONE MONTH after booking and one day before pick-up date, they still haven't "assigned a carrier," in the meantime, I already booked flights and hotels to receive the vehicle on the other end. They do not care. RED FLAG #4: "Ready Date" instead of "Pick-Up Date" They never use the words Pick-Up Date, they will only say "Ready Date" in the papers. This way there are no specific calendar dates to comply with in picking up the vehicle. "Ready Date" to this company means they can pick up any time they want after that date unless you cancel the booking. All this time, in the customers minds, it's "Pick-Up date." After booking, they will often say "Nothing is guaranteed." RED FLAG #5: "Dry Run Policy" Read "Terms and Conditions #14" of the Booking Confirmation! If you're 30 minutes late in the agreed time and location, a $100 Dry Run fee will be imposed! This means they could be several days late in picking up your vehicle, but if you're 30 minutes late, you get fined a hundred bucks! For every 30 minutes after the initial 30 minutes, it will be another $75! If they don't pick up your vehicle on time or the arranged date and you get upset, read this first: "...Customer exhibiting offensive, inappropriate, or vulgar language or behavior, the dry-run fee may be imposed." So folks, you cannot get upset, you cannot curse at them or use what they would consider offensive language or else you pay more... this is of course after you wait several days for pick up, oops, I meant Ready Date... you just need to smile and swallow everything and pray that they will deliver on time! RED FLAG #6: "AWOL Reps" The moment they sense trouble, good luck talking to the same person who gave you the estimate or booking confirmation! MY ADVISE: RUN AWAY from ROAD RUNNER! It was a blessing in disguise that they were not able to find/assign a carrier on my "Ready Date"... otherwise, my son's car would be hostage to a joke of a company. During booking, they will say everything is fine, but when you're hours away from requested pick up date and still nothing, they say "Sorry we're just brokers, we cannot guarantee anything!" I cancelled my booking after "Ready Date"... I would rather drive 1,100 miles than trust these liars with my son's vehicle. If they cannot pick up on the arranged day, why should I trust them to drop off on the agreed day? read more
