Late review! But I booked AirRyd after extensive research online and being wary of any scams that are very rampant surrounding the industry. I had nothing but worries because it was my first time ever shipping a car upstate, but thankfully I chose the right guys. It took only 3 days from SoCal up to Seattle within the time frame I was provided. The driver and both the person behind the desk were nice and provided useful info. As with anything, don't expect specifics for your vehicle to be picked up/delivered - that's what you have the time frames for. Understand that these people are working with other things to and have to figure out stuff behind the scenes to fit certain schedules with other customers. Overall, very satisfied with service and value; from booking, pickup, delivery, communication. All is well and most importantly the car was delivered in the same condition as when it got picked up (albeit a little dirty exterior from the transport lol)! I worried for nothing! The carriers who picked up my vehicle were incredibly helpful and professional and communicated throughout the process. Unfortunately can't say the same for the AirRyd broker experience. It is a nerve wracking experience to move cars for a lot of people and often we experience stress with changing escrow dates and other moving parts and schedules. AirRyd became very defensive when I questioned why one of my cars was not assigned a carrier and why another had older dates from my earlier schedule (I was told changing dates was not a big deal). AirRyd did come through in the end and I was very pleased with the professionalism of the carriers they contracted with and there were no hidden charges or surprises. read more

I booked a car transport with AirRyd in March 2025 and canceled my order within a week, before any carrier was assigned or dispatched. The company confirmed the cancellation in writing via email. Months later, I discovered my payment had never been refunded. When I followed up, the company became defensive instead of resolving the issue. They refused to refund my original payment method, said PayPal was their only option, and made the refund conditional on unrelated actions. Their emails were unprofessional and accusatory, and the situation has been unnecessarily stressful to resolve. I would have been flexible if necessary but everything went off without a hitch. Trucking is underrated; trucks keep this country functioning. One last thing. I went with this broker because of the "bad" review here on Yelp. If you read do that review, it shows that this broker communicated and refunded a bad situations. I used AirRyd in May 2023. I had to ship my car from Chicago, IL to Los Angeles, CA and was very skeptical and nervous about the entire process. But after talking with and emailing Wes, I felt a little more at ease. He answered all my questions and confirmed them also via email. Inquired about a quote a few days ago for transporting my vehicle. I called during business hours and no one answered. I received a text back from the business number after texting them, asking if the quote i received via email was accurate. I explained the time frame I wanted, my days were slightly flexible, drop off date very flexible. I was told that my dates were essentially not flexible enough, and to quote "There are thousands of loads available, no driver is going to take a $300 load to the middle of no where. It's just not going to happen." I then explained that I would be more than willing to meet to pick up the vehicle somewhere off of I-81 or in a larger city nearby (Harrisburg, Carlisle etc) which is all on that major highway route. I was then told that this "wouldn't make a difference" "the price would go up significantly, and it would be atleast $500 solely to the driver not including whatever would be owed to Air Ryd. I found this company through a YouTube video by "Auto Transportation for Dummies" which I believe is one of the owners of the company. TLDR: Price certainly wasn't an issue for me, I simply chose to not do business with this snarky, rude company after the unwarranted response I received by simply asking for a quote. I had to move out of Tucson, AZ, to Rochester, MN. I looked into it a lot and found AirRyd to be a reliable service. I did this with plenty of time (more than 2 months before my estimated move-out date). The reason behind this was that I didn't want to worry about this, and had a smooth transition. I reached out to customer service, and they were helpful, providing good advice on the range of days for pickup. At that moment, everything was great, and I felt I had everything under control. Time went by, and we were one week away from my flight to Rochester. My dates were open, and I did not hear anything from AirRyd. Of course, this was really distressing, so I texted them and figured out that "my car may not be picked up," "my route was odd," and "the price increased to double." Although I understood how fluctuating the market is, bumping the price to double felt incredibly painful with an already fixed budget, but more than that was that I had to reach out to them. It felt that they didn't care about my case (this is just my perception and may not be the intention of AirRyd). Customer service initially asked me if I wanted to proceed with them or explore another option. When I found an alternative, they informed me that all companies worked in the same way. Honestly, it seems nasty to suggest something in the first place and then change it at the last minute. So far, I had a really bad interaction with AirRyd until they found the option for my car (I'm not sure if they were working hard for that; it seemed to me that they were doing so). Mike's auto transport was great; I have no complaints about it. In fact, I hope you can use this transport company, as they are excellent. I was considering giving 1 star to the service due to the poor customer service. However, I believe that in the end, they tried hard to find an option for me, and, again, the company that picked up my car was fantastic. My advice here would be to proceed with caution with AirRyd; I suggest not arranging the service too far in advance and encourage AirRyd to improve their communication with clients. I needed to ship my Cadillac Blackwing from Houston to New Jersey, I had a bad experience years ago shipping an Escalade with a company that had terrible communication and left me in the dark after the initial booking and my Escalade came with fluid leaked all over it from the vehicle above it so I was being extremely cautious about my beautiful new black car. I made it very clear to Wes that the car had a low front spoiler and was black with only 1000 miles, it had never even been driven in the rain yet. Wes was firm and honest in convincing me that the car would be taken care of. I booked with Wes about a week prior to my ship date, for a Tuesday, I got notice that the car would be picked up on Monday, which was fine with me. The driver Andrei communicated very well and gave me his cell number in case of any questions. They picked up my car in a huge enclosed trailer that had an electric pull on lift so no awkward ramps to deal with, my car may have been the least expensive (at $100,000) on the rig. The car arrived in New Jersey much quicker than I anticipated, as I booked a flight for that Saturday so I needed to have a friend take delivery of it for me. It was in perfect condition, well cared for and I was able to pay with Zelle (and tip) since I was not there in person. They give three options up front, two offering credit card as payment, but when the contracted driver arrives for delivery they have their hand out looking for cash. They streamlined the car transport experience to where it was borderline effortless: you fill out your car info on their site, they send you a quote immediately thereafter, you pay a small fee to book, wait until they pick up your car to transport, and you pay upon receiving it. They were the first to send a quote; for other companies I contacted, I didn't hear back from them until days later. They are easy to contact via text, and professionally handled and answered any questions that I had. When I had to cancel my service the day of due to the infamous Southwest Airlines flight fiasco during Christmastime this past year, they understood and I didn't have to pay any penalties for the late cancelation. TLDR; Wes was very transparent, articulate and professional. Watch all his videos (or read his FAQs)--he sets realistic expectations and explains the process in full detail. My car was delivered (with luggage inside) from California to Maryland with no hassle. AirRyd is legit. To give you context, I've never transported a car before, and I was really discouraged by all the reviews online about the car transport brokers. I read reviews, watched videos and read through all the horror stories on BBB. To say the least, I was pretty skeptical and anxious. I found AirRyd by searching on YouTube, and I came across Wes' videos (Auto Transport for Dummies). I had called up 3 or 4 other brokers, but when I talked to Wes, he returned my call immediately and spent 30 minutes walking me through everything. The biggest question I had was whether I could get my GTI in an enclosed transport from San Francisco to Maryland. He assured me that he would find something, and we followed up with some texts a week later--and he found a brand new 6 car enclosed transport. Exactly 7 days later, my car was delivered. All of this as done with a single phone call and a couple of text messages. If you're concerned about shipping times, prices, pickup/drop off, shipping with luggage, watch his videos and read the FAQs. You have to set realistic expectations. I paid $125 for the service and $1925 for an enclosed transport. While the price may sound steep for moving a basic hatchback, I was able to fill up my car with a lot of stuff with no hassle. I want to start off by saying that I am a real person who is no way associated with Wes or Midwest Exotic Auto Transport. However, after the great experience I had using their services I consider Wes my friend and recommend his services to anyone looking to transport their vehicle. I purchased a Hellcat in Tampa, FL and needed someone to transport it to the Bay Area. Just like everyone looking to transport a vehicle, I did a Google search and came upon several brokers. I entered my information and received a slew of messages and phone calls. At the time I settled for one that promised to ship my car for about $1,000. I informed them I would be in touch. That night while at work, I saw a driver who was transporting Tesla vehicles out of the factory. I told him about my situation and he advised me that he had never heard of the company I was planning on doing business with. He told me that I had to be very careful with who I used to transport my vehicle. He aid that it was not unusual for drivers to damage the vehicles due to inexperience or subpar equipment. In addition, he said that the trailer picking up my vehicle may not even the same trailer dropping it off. Meaning that my vehicle would be loaded and unloaded numerous times. After that, I spent hours reading through countless reviews about people's horror stories and could not find a company I trusted to ship my vehicle. Like any other person seeking a bit more knowledge on the matter I searched on YouTube for any information about Auto Transport. This is where I found Wes from MIdwest Exotic. His page is Auto Transport for Dummies. I figured that title was right up my alley since I knew nothing about the industry. I watched every single video he had and came across one where he speaks about Montway. Wes spoke about the business practices and bait and switch tactics that brokers use to get you to do business with them. What stood out was the moment he said something like, "if you're shipping your basic Honda Civic... then it should be fine, but if you're shipping anything nice then don't even waste your time with Montway". Wes sounded very sincere in his assessment and I decided to contact him. Due to my line of work, I work strange hours. I sent Wes a quote request via the company's website in the middle of the night (at about 0330hrs) and he replied within 20 minutes. He explained to me what vehicles were being transported for and did not make any crazy promises other than that my vehicle was in good hands. A few days later I was finally able to provide a pick up date and Wes found a carrier willing to transport my vehicle for $1850, which was fine by me. Wes provided me with the carrier's company name and phone number of the driver. The carrier who was traveling from Miami, FL advised me he would be picking up the vehicle on Wednesday. Wednesday came, no pick up. I contacted Wes and he contacted the carrier. The carrier was apparently having problems with the trailer so couldn't pick up my vehicle. The carrier then called me and told me that he would be picking up the vehicle on Thursday. "I guarantee it 100%" the driver said. I had read that this happens sometimes so I wasn't too worried about it. "Very well" I thought. Thursday comes and no pick up again. Friday... no pick up... the driver was now saying his truck was the one in the shop now. I told Wes about what was going on and he cancelled the deal with that company and driver. Wes told me that at this point the driver was being very dishonest and did not trust him to carry out the job. Being that I was incredibly eager to get my car here, I asked Wes if I should give the driver another shot. Wes was incredibly honest and told me that in his experience, drivers like that will continue to have numerous excuses through out the the trip, even after picking the vehicle up. Wes told me he would find another carrier but it would be a little difficult given that it was now the weekend. Fast forward to Saturday, Wes texts me the great news that he had found me another enclosed carrier. Wes sent me pictures of the truck and trailer that would be transporting my vehicle. It was a clear upgrade from the previous one. Wes told me that they were wanting $1,900 to transport my vehicle. And on top of that, Wes had done business with that carrier before and had nothing but good things to say. A representative from that carrier (Keith from Masney) called me almost immediately after agreeing to the deal through Wes. The representative informed me who the driver was, provided me with his contact information and pick up day (Monday). Monday came and my car was picked up as promised. They delivered my car the following Monday and had it off the truck by the time I exited my house. There was great communication throughout and they were very professional. I highly recommend doing business with Wes and Midwest Exotic Auto Transport to anyone who's looking for expert quality service. read more

Found this guy through youtube while I searching for reviews about a different broker that I was having issues with. After exchanging a few texts, we spoke on the phone, and I was kind of surprised to be speaking to the guy in the video lol. It took a couple of days for him to find a transporter, but it was so worth it. The previous broker connected me with multiple transporters over the course of two weeks. Multiple cancellations, one company asked the dealership to leave the keys in the car and park it on the street overnight (In NYC). I had to ship my wife's car from San Diego to Louisiana during this past Labor Day weekend.....Not exactly a common route. After a week of researching, frustration, and useless quotes, I stumbled on to Wes's YT videos. It all made sense (finally) and after another week of watching, I took the plunge. It took about a week, (It was Labor Day...end of summer, folks getting their kids off to school, and getting their rides from summer havens to the winter havens.. ) we got a carrier... I thought I had a unique situation since I wasn't there with the car, but the driver/carrier got the car, loaded it up, and was on the way without anyone being there. Honestly, that was my biggest concern. I air tagged the car and watched it come across country. The driver called or texted me daily and I never had to ask about anything. The car was delivered without incident and exactly on schedule. I paid the entire cost up front since I was able to use a CC that way. Once I selected AirRyd, it was pretty much "hands off" (which I wanted) throughout the entire transport. We were extremely satisfied with AirRyd and have already referred a friend. The driver was great too! I want to emphasize!!!....WATCH THE YT VIDEOS!!! It's exactly how things work for 99% of us and will put you at ease! They were especially thorough in quelling concerns I had while doing my initial due diligence and earned my trust. I wouldn't encourage anyone to put him through this but I had a 30 min phone call with him initially, and the main takeaway for me was: I am shipping a normal, non-exotic, non-special car. There's nothing to think about when shipping a 2016 Honda Fit, because such moves are so routine. Turned out to be just that. Condition was the same at delivery as it was at pick up. Further bullets: Car was delivered to cousin's front door of residence via small tow truck Picked up last Tues afternoon, delivered this morning, just shy of 6 days delivery time. 100%: Uneventful, boring, routine Met/exceeded expectations Driver Lee at TransAuto Logistics Corp was communicative. I never needed to contact him for anything. He/his wife told me they'd do door to door delivery when they picked up my car at origin, in a parking lot near my home. Turned out exactly as they said. Both times when they gave me a 2-3 hour window at pickup/drop, they were on-time, erring toward the earlier part of the time range. Lucked out and got a top deck spot at pick-up. The truck and hardware looked to be in good condition/very adequate. Carrier was insured for $1MM. $1350 + $89 broker fee during the 3rd week of Jul 2022. 3 day pick up and 3 day drop off window. So glad I didn't have to do the 2,660 mile drive. It probably would have cost me around the same as I would have split the drive over 7-9 days. read more

Wes and the team answered my questions promptly. They were very swift with picking up the car and getting it to the destination. I was expecting 6-8 weeks from start to finish; however, I had my car in 23 days. These people are doing a great thing and no funny business, no weird emails, no harassing calls just BUSINESS. They pick up your car and have it shipped to you that is it! Overall 4.5/5! It would have been a 5 if the car arrived clean. I recommend open transport because car will likely get dirty if you do overseas transport. You will likely have to wash car upon arrival so don't spend the extra money to pay for enclosed.
