I do not recommend Hinkle's Auto Haus.
We booked transport for our 1968 Camaro and 2019 Dodge Challenger through Ship Guy Logistics, the broker, and Hinkle Auto Haus was the carrier they selected.
We paid Ship Guy Logistics, the broker who arranged Hinkle Auto Haus, an additional $150 to list the Camaro as inoperable because it can be temperamental and may not run. My husband was still in Arizona for work, so it was only me and my teenage son here for delivery.
Joe, the owner of Hinkle Auto Haus, said he could not get around an underpass and planned to unload our vehicles along the side of the road. I asked him to find a safer location, but my son and I ended up driving around trying to find him even though there was a parking lot right before the underpass.
Joe then told me he would not unload the Camaro and Challenger until I paid him $2,750 in cash.
At one point, we could not get the Camaro into reverse, and I had to drive it myself even though I had driven it only once in nearly 30 years. We were very lucky it started. If it had not, I do not know what my son and I would have done with a vehicle we had specifically paid to have treated as inoperable.
During delivery, I noticed the Camaro's side mirror was missing. Joe brushed it off as though the mirror was old and going to fall off anyway.
After I complained to Ship Guy Logistics, Joe called me back upset, said the delivery was not door to door, and said he was not responsible for the mirror. What bothered me most was that he made no effort to make anything right. There was no apology unless I asked for one, no offer to repair or pay for the missing mirror, no refund, and no other attempt to resolve the situation.
We paid Hinkle Auto Haus $2,750 in cash for this transport. Based on the way the delivery and complaint were handled, I would not use them again.
I am sharing this in hopes of helping someone else make a more informed decision before trusting them with their vehicles. read more
