I sat at the bar and ordered the cod on marble rye with coleslaw. It was delicious. The cod fillet was generous and nicely breaded. It was crunchy and cooked to perfection. The coleslaw was obviously prepared in house. It was also great. I jokingly asked the lady tending bar if she was Jim or Jack, and she replied that Jim was her last name. I'm not sure if she was joking, but it made me laugh. She was very busy but attentive. I left feeling a lot better than when I went in. I really like this place, and would go back in a minute if I didn't live in Houston. It's just a mile or so down the road from the Anderson Ferry, so if you're flying or driving into Cincy from northern Kentucky, take the ferry and stop at Jim and Jack's for lunch. You won't be disappointed. Please tell Mrs. Jim I said hi.

Equally impressive was their food. The pizza was delicious and I had to cut myself off before I over ate. The Buffalo chicken salad was probably one of the best I've had in a long time. I must also mention the beer. Their coolers must be operating at peak performance as the brews were the perfect refreshing temperature. I've added Jim and Jacks to my list of places to definitely return and try other menu items. Their wings are next...

From the moment we arrived, the hostesses were warm and accommodating, and the service throughout the meal was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. As someone with gluten allergies, I felt genuinely cared for. The team listened closely and offered recommendations that never felt like a compromise on flavor or creativity. We began with a dirty chai latte, aromatic and comforting, though I personally would have enjoyed a touch more sweetness. The dirty French, customized gluten free, was rich, decadent and deeply satisfying. It felt indulgent in the best way and showcased the kitchen's ability to balance comfort with culinary intention. To go, we ordered the crunchy chicken nuggets, fries and lemon ricotta pancakes. The fries were outstanding, perfectly crisp and addictive. My husband loved the pancakes, light and flavorful with a bright citrus note. The gluten free nuggets were enjoyable, though they did not quite reach the level I expected compared to the rest of the menu. Overall, Sacred Beast offers a dining experience where hospitality and thoughtful cooking meet effortlessly. It is a place that respects dietary needs without sacrificing taste or creativity, and one I would gladly return to.

Here is a review reflecting that wonderful experience: A Wonderful First Impression at Cooper's Hawk Our first visit to Cooper's Hawk was such a pleasant surprise. While I initially worried it might be overpriced, the quality and portions quickly changed my mind. The nice ambiance created a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the whole meal feel special. The Standout Starters * Pretzel Bread: We started with the pretzel bread, which was incredibly fluffy and soft--truly the perfect way to begin the meal. * Chicken Wrap: I ordered the chicken wrap as an appetizer, but I was shocked by how big it was; it could have been a whole meal on its own! The chicken was seasoned beautifully, the sauce was a great addition, and the salad was fresh and crunchy. * Mahi Mahi: Even though I was already getting full, I couldn't resist the Mahi Mahi. It had a perfect crust. * The Martini: It paired wonderfully with my martini, which was as pretty as it was refreshing. A Sweet Ending * Caramel Crème Brûlée: I couldn't help myself and had to order dessert. The Caramel Crème Brûlée is an absolute must--the caramelized top and rich cream were the perfect final notes. Service Note The only small hiccup in an otherwise perfect night was that our waiter forgot my child's drink a few times, even after three reminders. However, the food and the atmosphere were so good that we are already looking forward to our next visit!
