This bookstore reminds me and take me back to the 1990's as I just came out to myself and was curious and eager to learn about LGBTQ history and I would come across these little independently owned stores that specialized in this and I learned so much. Turquoise Trading company has all things Turquoise...necklaces bracelets, earrings, and bolos. To be transparent, I was over whelmed with so many choices. I did see earrings I liked but not quite ready to pull the trigger. The store is a shoppers dream...sculptures. Walk hangings, figurine art, Indian headdresses, placemats, wind chimes...to name just a few. The store prices range from $2 to hundreds of dollars. I made a small purchase and was on my way.

What a fantastic hidden gem of Austin! We had questions for the staff to earn points in the scavenger hunt and the staff was more than welcoming and accommodating. We learned so much and purchased and take two unique pieces of art home with us. We highly recommend checking this place out! They had art as well as jewelry and some body oils.
