Omar and his team did a fantastic job repairing an emergency attic floor / living room ceiling mishap. I called many companies who I never heard back from. The two who did return gave me quotes were 2 or even 4x more than the quote I received from Roa Drywall. Poor quality results. I used to build houses but don't have it in me to do drywall anymore. This job made me sad I didn't at least try myself first. Knockdown in several places shows horrible drag channels, and several of the plug holes that were "patched" resulted in bulges that can't be sanded flush with the wall without taking off the majority of the texture. Oh, and I can't tell you how much I appreciated finding all of their trash (several empty putty boxes and drop cloths) in my personal trailer in the driveway when I got home from work. I had looked on Yelp to find someone with good reviews to float my ceiling after I scraped the popcorn off, and Omar came highly rated. There is a reason everyone thought he was great! Firstly, Omar was very professionally when he came to bid my job. He talked through everything I wanted and gave his expert option on what he thought would look best on things I wasn't sure about. When he and his guys came to do the work, they were friendly, kept my place clean, and got done in a timely manner. The ceiling turned out wonderful, but after painting it I noticed a small patch that was a little uneven which was in a trickery lighting area. We have used ROA Drywall on two occasions now, both for patching rather large holes in drywall from remodeling projects. I chose them due to some great Yelp reviews. The first job we had him match spray texture afterward to the rest of the wall after patching the hole. The other time we didn't as it is a bathroom and we plan on tiling over the wall. We are very happy with both projects. The walls look great. The textured patch really does match the rest of the wall smoothly, and my husband (who has a pickier eye than me) said both look great and the bathroom job looks better than it did before (the craftsmanship in that room was lacking). Additionally, Omar was incredibly responsive both times. He gave us a quote I believe on the same day I contacted him both times. The first time he did the work within 1.5 weeks, the second time he had an opening the very next day. Personable as well as polite in person. Even gave us a tip for a different type of work we want to do in the future and will be referring someone for us. I had used Omar before and he did quality work so I called him again for some miscellaneous patchwork before I was going to repaint the interior of my house. He responded quickly (relatively speaking) and I met with him on a Tuesday. He wad very pleasant,walked the interior with me and I I showed him everything involved. He said he would give me a bid that night or the next day and he could do the work the following Monday (today). Then I don't hear anything from him AT ALL. The following Friday and over the weekend I call/text him five or six times asking for the bid, are you coming etc. with absolutely no response. Monday morning, the day he said he would be there to work I text him very early in the morning and I say are you coming he responds and says I can come the following Thursday. I say you never gave me a bid he says oh yeah it's $800 I say that's ridiculously high and decline his service. If he had told me $800 when he promised he would ( or even better on the spot... It's not like there's hidden issues here) I would've told him no then but instead I am waiting and waiting and waiting So the end result was six days of progress o. my project being wasted because I can't paint before this work gets done. I explain all this to him and he makes no apologies for wasting six days of my time... So the flakiness and poor communication and unprofessionalism is why I will guide you away from this company . read more

I selected this company based on the reviews that i found. My experience was not good. Started out great. Omar came out within a few days to provide some excellent advice due to damage associated with the recent winter storm. He said to send my email so he could provide an estimate. And that was pretty much the end of it. No estimate. Did not return phone calls, emails or text. Left 3 messages. NOTHING. I finally sent him a text stating that he had been to my house several weeks ago.He responded with a phone call...but said he did not remember. Resent email and home address so he could start over. Set up an appointment for a few days out.....he did not show up. Got another contractor. I was very hopeful at the beginning that he would be the guy..great reviews and positive feedback. I believe that he has overload issues and cannot handle the volume of calls. I cannot recommend this guy, no matter how good the reviews. I see that there are others with similar experience. He came and looked at my project and seemed eager to do the work. A great experience with a contractor. I am in construction and deal with quite a few contractors.
