I didn't know him before our work together, and he didn't ask me to write this review, but he is exceptional and I really wish more contractors conducted their business this way. He did 18 skylights for me, and made things happen that other specialists couldn't do. On top of that, he went beyond the work to provide advice on other projects (at one point even loaning me his equipment) just to be helpful. While other skylight companies I spoke with talked down on competitors, Chris only ever had nice things to say about them - likely because he's confident enough in his own work to know he's the best around. When this started, I thought it could get done in under 2 months. We had to expand the scope of the project so that was some of the additional cost, but man oh man - it went from $100K to $150K for a deck. In other parts of the country, that's enough to buy an entire home. It was not easy to get a hold of the contractor and I would have to text multiple times over multiple days to get a response. It got done and the deck looks good so I'm thankful for that. Sharing this here so that folks come into projects with eyes wide open to the fact that things take way longer and costs, which are already astronomical, are likely to be even higher when all is said and done.

The crew was experienced, proficient and friendly ( ask for Walter!), the management was clear and communicative about small ( and necessary) change orders, and were more than happy to work with me to help minimize costs ( I did the railing at the top of the wall myself to save money). the geotechnical engineer they use is very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. We actually got out custom cabinets installed early and needed our countertop sooner than planned. Victor and his crew did the counter templates, Allie got the slab in early. We met at Stone Living with Robin, Allie and Victor to select the specific pieces of the slab for each area of the kitchen countertop. Delivery by Victors crew was seamless. Our beautiful Vadara - Bianco Molasa quartz countertop is gorgeous, the kitchen is beautiful, our friends and neighbors, I think, are envious, we love it! Both times it took three weeks just to get to accurate estimate and at each turn the salesperson made sure to tell me and our designer that it was our fault they were delayed.
