After paying the $1,075 they identified the issue and Garret's manager said it was not covered under the $1,075 initial charge, that Garrett told me incorrectly, and it would be another $650 on top of that for a total of $1725. They fixed what needed to be fixed, but now I am left with a drywall repair and a $1725 bill for about 4-1/2 hours of work. Can't help but feel like I got taken advantage of and next time I will call a different electrician with an hourly rate. Everything I'm seeing, Mister Sparky was 3-4x more expensive than the normal hourly rate. There was also a fire alarm and 1 light switch that was left disassembled that I will have to have them come back to reassemble.

Despite a big upfront payment, Luis continually asked us for more money to "accelerate the work" but we never saw more than incremental progress and long stretches with no work at all. We've now hired a lawyer to try to recover the money we paid for work that was never completed (or in some cases never even started). This has been an incredibly stressful situation over the last year, and has caused our family a major financial loss. I wouldn't wish what we have been through on anyone. I can give more info on request, but really, just find a different contractor to work with.
