I called a family member that is a plumber for a new build firm. He laughed and told me they were charging way too much. He said some of these big plumbing companies are paying their plumbers commission on overcharging for jobs when they can. I had a handyman come the next day and it cost me $225.00 total. This review only pertains…read moreto his interactions with me after declining to work with him.] After receiving quotes from various GCs for a flooring project (all of these quotes ranged tens of thousands of dollars), I choose to go with another contractor (because value, respect from the contractor, and references to the GC for their work was more valuable to me). I did my due diligence of background checking the work of all the GCs I had give me a quote as well as check their insurance policies. Brian took months to get back to me with a quote (I was not in a rush at the beginning due to finishing personal projects. I would periodically check if he had the estimate ready and when he said he'd have it ready soon, I told him it was ok to get back to me after the holidays). After giving me his quote and comparing to others, I politely told Brian I declined his services. Brian then continued to text me various text messages in a very bothersome manner. Absolutely unnecessary, especially since we had no contract to work together nor did I disrespect his time. The time he gave and questions I asked of him were questions I rightfully asked every GC I had quoting me (what they recommended in flooring, reference of their work, and potential for projects after this since I'm slowly planning a full home renovation) so I could see if I trusted them in my home (I hear of too many horror stories). Safe to say, maybe his work is good. I will never know. But his attitude and respect for clients is not, from my experience. Not once did I disrespect this man or penny pinch and bid his quote against others. I would avoid him at all costs. Who would want to bring someone like this into their homes?? Edit: - I did not use any of the discounts Brian quoted for materials. And any discount from him would've been maybe $300-400 on 7k worth of materials, all of which I was going to buy myself. Not 10% like his reply to me... (he later updated this) - I did not haggle with him to come down at half the price. I informed him I was able to get a more reasonable quote from another quality contractor - Brian's in person consultation to me was maybe half an hour (he says it was 1.5) because I had to rush to an HOA meeting after. - My one ask to Brian after his initial quote was to remove a task in the quote since I no longer prioritized it. I politely asked if he would paint my doors as well and we verbally discussed a slightly higher quote with the doors painted and task removed. He was free to tell me he was firm on his price and didn't want to paint my doors. - I didn't plot to find someone after his quote. I had various people give me quotes, all of which came in within the same week, so I could make an informed decision like any reasonable human being - My questions to Brian were all before he gave me a quote. He never had to give me his opinions without a contract between us signed, and made recommendations of his own free will. Not once did I say he would be my contractor in an agreement. I was waiting to receive his quote. January 2025, I received his quote and others, took a week to debate, compare, and call references, and made my decision. - The GC I decided on was not my lowest quote and does have commercial liability and credible references, not that it's any of Brian's business who I went with - This review is for his startling response to me after declining to work with him. Unnecessary, unprofessional, and not something I received from other GCs. This is a very reasonable review for his very unsettling interaction with me, especially considering I only met him once. Edit (again): - Brian has been endlessly messaging me via text message (see 'update' pictures), which has made me feel harassed and unsafe.

I've used this company many times before and have been happy . I had a toilet that the top black…read morepiece was spewing small amounts of water and you could hear it. The part was maybe 20 bucks. The plumber replace the line too ( not necessary) and was there 30 minutes and my bill was 400. The toilet now flushes very loudly. I understand we all need to make money but I feel as though I was taken advantage of. This should have been a less than 200 job. Another plumber same company came out to check his work because it flushes so loud now it's actually worse than the initial problem. For 400 I should be happy and I'm not. I will not use them again. Very disappointed. I do want to say that Eugene is my favorite plumber, but he is not the one that did the work. I was definitely overcharged for the work that was done.

I called AAA Auger Plumbing because they were on a list of approved contractors for my Downtown…read moreDallas mid-rise condo. I needed two new toilets installed and my water heater flushed. David, a Master Plumber, came to my condo to give me a quote. He then came back the next day with an apprentice to install the toilet and flush the water heater. David answered all of my questions. He and his apprentice installed the toilets. The job was an A+. Here are some of the details: * Plumbing is a high-stakes job in a mid-rise condo such as mine. One leak could destroy multiple floors beneath. * My HOA requires proof of insurance that covers multi-family. AAA Auger had that proof, which is how they got on our approved list of contractors. * David has 40 years of plumbing experience, so he was well prepared to manage the complexities of working in my mid-rise condo. * AAA Auger sent a text message before the visit with a picture of David and his bio. I think that's a nice way to introduce a technician before they arrive. * David easily found the building and parked in the loading dock. I didn't have to call him once before he arrived. What a relief - sometimes this can be hard to explain how to get here. * Along with the new toilets, I purchased an artificial wax ring and some new hoses. David evaluated those, but given the placement of the toilets against the tile, recommended a different wax ring and different hoses. He had the recommended products in his truck. I trusted his judgment and went with his products. * After installing the toilets, David flushed my water heater. * I've gotten my water heater flushed by other plumbers each year for the past three years. Each time, it takes the plumber only 15 minutes. David took 30+ minutes to drain the water heater. I asked why, and he showed me that's how long it *actually* takes to drain all the way. In other words, the previous plumbers were cutting corners and not draining the water heater all the way. * After flushing the water heater, David checked the toilets and found a few drips under the new hoses. He discovered the hoses had a manufacturing defect and replaced the hoses again during the same visit. HIS PROACTIVE APPROACH SAVED ME FROM HAVING TO CALL HIM OUT AGAIN. * The next day, the dispatcher from AAA Auger called me to follow up and see if I had any questions. I told them everything was perfect. * I'm writing this review a week after my service call, and the toilets are working perfectly. There's no leaks on the hoses. The water heater is performing well. * I'm very happy with the service I received from AAA Auger. I would recommend them. * 1 big thing - I paid a pretty penny for the service. It was worth it because of the quality of the install, the experience of the plumber, and the insurance they carry that's compatible with my HOA requirements. * 1 more way to look at the cost: I don't expect to call a plumber to service the toilets for another 10 years. So, the way I look at the price I paid today is to divide the price by 10 - that's how much per year the job cost me.
