Though I understand it is not effective for everyone. The treatments are insanely expensive, so I recommend saving up or opening a new credit card to earn points with your payment. Milan offers "unlimited" sessions (with the asterisk that no longer applies if they go out of business or change their name) per body area (which can be specific or a bundle - full body, lower or upper legs, panty line or brazilian, belly, chest, back, underarms, neck, face, upper lip, etc). I consider the unlimited package an advantage for hair growth driven by hormonal causes as hormones may fluctuate and you may need ongoing touchup sessions. A word of caution that the pain can be intense, especially as sessions go on. I wish they offered a free trial session so people could see if they can handle it before committing. The office here in Beaverton is clean and the staff has been friendly and welcoming. Scheduling is simple but they are quite booked up. As a customer you're able to visit any office in the United States, but this one has been the most convenient for me.

After I did some research on various lasers on the market, I chose Pain Free Laser. They claim they have the best tech and they actually do (!!!) The Soprano XL is a phenomenal laser and is a fairly new addition in the market. The technology is top-notch and it really was pain-free (and surprisingly fast). I couldn't find another place in the Portland metro area that had comparable laser equipment. Marietta runs this place on her own and she does a darn good job at it :) She is extremely knowledgeable, communicative and highly-skilled at what she does. I really appreciate her willingness to see the situation from my perspective and her taking accountability for the misleading wording on the website. I'm now taking back my comment about the spa being "shady," since it has become clear that this was an honest mistake. However, I still stand by my concern that the membership terms and wording should have been much clearer from the beginning. I'm glad Balm took my concerns seriously and made an effort to make things right. I hope the website will be updated soon to provide more clarity, so issues like this can be avoided in the future. I had 2 laser hair removal treatments here. While the service was nothing to write home about, the way this business handles its memberships is incompetent at best and shady at worst. I signed up for their LARGE LASER MEMBERSHIP, which is advertised on their website as having the benefits of "Any 1 Extra-Large Laser" and "Any 2 Large Laser" each month, with savings of $304/month and a retail value of $603 (screenshot below). Maybe I'm delusional, please let me know, but how is anyone supposed to interpret that wording as anything other than 1 extra large + 2 large services included? Even their own membership portal shows 3 separate coupons for these 3 services. I had my extra large laser with no issue, but when I came back for the 2 large services, the tech told me I actually had to choose between the extra large and 2 large services (?). I ended up having to cancel my appointment and go home. Their manager reached out via text and basically admitted that the wording on the website AND the membership portal is misleading, and that I actually did have to choose between the 2 options. I asked for a refund because I wouldn't have purchased the membership had the terms been clearly stated. Of course, they refused. At this point, I've given up on trying to get a refund. I don't have the time or energy to keep going back and forth with these people. I've been a client at Celebrity Med Spa since 2022, but my experience has unfortunately been disappointing and frustrating. I initially trusted this place, but over time, I noticed a consistent lack of professionalism and a strong bias in favor of their staff often at the expense of customer care. On Women's Day, I was given the wrong package and double-charged. When I brought it to their attention, instead of acknowledging the mistake and offering an appropriate resolution, they offered me a $450 facial I didn't need. The staff was not properly trained, and my appointments were frequently canceled often at the last minute with no regard for my time or schedule. During calls to reschedule, I was repeatedly talked over and not allowed to express my concerns. One staff member continued speaking without letting me respond, and when I voiced that clients deserve to be heard, I was met with hostility. It became clear that they prioritized their team over their clients, which is concerning for any customer-focused business. When I mentioned that certain areas were left untreated during a session, the response I got was defensive "I have 20 years of experience, I know what I'm doing" instead of listening or addressing the issue. During a snowstorm, they canceled my 8:00 AM appointment with a message sent at 7:46 AM, focusing only on the safety of the staff and not even acknowledging the inconvenience to the customer. This was after I had already started driving in dangerous conditions. When I politely raised concerns about the consistent disregard and communication issues, I was told that I was the problem. The entire conversation shifted to defending staff behavior instead of addressing valid client concerns. I was essentially forced to end my service due to the lack of respect and understanding. It's disheartening to feel dismissed, talked over, and discriminated against. I also noticed a pattern where positive feedback is welcomed, but any complaint results in pushback or being made to feel unwelcome. They strongly encourage tipping and link discounts to gratuities, which feels more like pressure than appreciation. Sadly, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this spa. I hope they reflect on how they treat clients--especially those from diverse backgrounds and work on building a culture that values respectful, two-way communication.
