Let me elaborate: - The first thing you see when you go up to the reception desk is a tip jar with a few crumpled one dollar bills in it. What is this, an ice cream shop with teenagers working for gas and beer money? - I headed to the restroom before my appointment. It's been a while, but I recall that the bathroom and/or the back area was decorated in a Marilyn Monroe motif. This didn't give me a great deal of confidence in the level of quality/professionalism of the owner(s). - The "procedure room" smelled like burned hair and was not particularly welcoming. There was no introduction by the esthetician, she just jumped right in with the laser, without shaking hands and telling me her name or any discussion about what to expect in terms of what I wanted, the results, aftercare, etc. She even had me hold the cold roller thing while she worked which seemed strange. If you need an assistant, hire an assistant, but the client shouldn't be forced to do your job. - Just like Anna said in her review, there was definitely a lack of cleanliness. The goggles clearly had been used many, many times before and there was even a few stray hairs still on them. She also drew a little outline on me with a highlighter to show the boundaries of where she'd be using the laser. The highlighter wasn't thrown away afterward, so I'm pretty sure it had been and has since been used on other people. And it's true about the esthetician dipping her hand into the jar of after cream without re-gloving after lasering my my bikini area! - I was BURNED during the treatment. Although I've never done this before, I suspect that's not supposed to happen. Now, in all fairness, the results (after the burn scab fell off) weren't bad. I blocked out all of the crappy things about this place and even went back today for my second appointment, but there was a scheduling problem (translation: they screwed up). I stormed off in a huff, but really they did me a favor. I started thinking back to what happened the first time and realized that I don't need to put up with this level of shotty quality and service, no matter how "good" the price is. I can take my money elsewhere (to a legitimate medical office) to be taken care of properly. Do yourself a favor and don't subject yourself to this place.
