This was an unplanned stop for a quick cappuccino and dessert. The initial impression is off putting as the desserts look over sized and overly sugared versions of the European counterparts. They had a big sign in the window saying the best cannolis in Toronto (I assume they serve the Sicilian version here as the portion was huge). My friend ordered a slice of pizza and a Portuguese tart. Both of us ordered a cappuccino. The place was just overwhelmed as there was only one person at the counter making the drinks and ringing in the sales. The cappuccino is a more traditional take and is nothing special IMO. The cannoli was decent so was the pizza slice. The tart didn't fare well. 3 stars all said and done.

Specifically came here for cannolis as it was ranked as one of the top bakeries for cannolis in Toronto. The cannolis were HUGE and had a nice crunch to them. However I ordered the ricotta filling and was in for a fruity surprise. I believe they put dried fruit and chocolate into the ricotta mixture and I did not enjoy the flavour of the dried fruit at all. Other than that, I'd rate it higher but there were some unpleasant bites!

Finished dinner at Ryoji and passed by here......... hmmm........ why not get some pastries to satisfy my sweet tooth ............... Picked, paid and left happily with a box of late night snackssssssss : ) 11:00pm - pastry tasting started: 1. Tiramisu - the bitter taste was so strong that it hurt my throat ( Are they putting in too much espresso flavor??) 2. Palmier - huge, crispy and delicious 3. Lobster tail - love this tiny one which just finished in 3 bites. It's flaky and it shattered and melted in my mouth with the cream...... yummmmmm

I'm a little surprised to read the negative reviews about the service here. Maybe we happened to come here on a good day? It was prompt, the little old woman helped us decide what to get, and once my boyfriend joked around with her a bit, she crackled a smile right back and chuckled. Maybe if customers were just friendlier sometimes, we'd get better service huh? We got: 1) Traditional cannolis: very good! the ricotta filling is the perfect level of sweetness, and not cloying/rich at all despite how much there is 2) Another kind of cannolis: this was different because it was made from a flaky pastry rather than deep-fried dough, but pretty decent! nothing too special 3) Valentine's meringue cookies: these were a bit tasteless and didn't have that 'chew' that I like meringue cookies to have.. it was just very, very crunchy and airy There were a bunch of other nice-looking desserts so I think I'd still come back and consider trying 'em! (and definitely get a cannoli or two)

The best Italian Bakery hands down. The cannoli and pastries are the best. Don't miss out if you are in Toronto!

The cannolis were very rich and were not freshly filled which made the experience okay.

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
