For the casual climber, they have harnesses, teach you how to belay, and let you go on your way around the gym! It's a cozy rock climbing gym but certainly has walls with varying difficulty all around. There are bouldering areas but I was not quite ready for that challenge; many of the more seasoned climbers would go there. From the moment the buses pulled up, we were greeted by a friendly staff member and brought through the gym to unload our belongings. The staff was EXTREMELY patient, hands-on and caring to our elementary students. They had a whole itinerary ready to go from the minute we arrived. Team building activities were spread out across the gym, while other groups climbed the walls and ate lunch. Throughout the entire day, the crew at PRG had everything under control and running smoothly! Thank you for an amazing experience and for going above and beyond for our students and this experience!! There's a good range of difficulties available, ranging from super beginning to challenges for the most experienced. There's a lot of places to lounge, even couches that I don't even begin to suspect as gross given the amount of people that must use it. They have a sliding scale pricing approach so that you can pay slightly less if you're more financially limited, or be generous if you love their services! I personally am on a flexible cadence as to when I climb, so I prefer the 10 punch pass, which ends up being cheaper than straight day passes without the commitment of a membership. Staff here are also great! They're more than willing to help you out with the beta on any given climb, and recommend good ones to start out with if it's been a minute since you've visited.

The right side must have 50' of top rope climbing running the 200' length of the building. Left side has bathrooms, lounge, exercise area and a yoga studio. Bouldering is the upper floor on the left. Overall, it is well organized by color, and easy to follow. There is not a plethora of tape on the wall . Each climb also has the difficulty level posted with a corresponding color. This gym needs 2 feet things to make it 5 stars: a good cleaning of the thick dust covering everything (walls, mats, floor, items for sale, etc) and deodorizing of the foot smell.

There were only 5 of us, so plenty of time to climb. Our Guide, Bob, was so patient, engaged and informative. I learned a lot of great things that I had not known before about clothing, ropes and technique. Bob was so patient with me and was there with his " green pointer" to help me over the tough spots. You should know that I am 74 years old and tho I have climbed indoors for a few years, my stamina was not that of the youngsters who were there! Nonetheless, it was a great time! The guides were patient and helpful with the small group in getting gear on and going over all the safety equipment. They were never impatient with anyone and insanely kind. You could tell the guides truly enjoyed bringing everyone out to this amazing trail at Ricketts Glen State Park. I wasn't sure what to expect but OMG it was worth the money spent to have these guys/gals guide me through the trails. I took tons of pictures and was never rushed at all while taking in the views and photos. This company comes highly recommended amongst the hiking community even out of state.

I've been climbing for a while, but this was my first time at PRG, so Shane helped me with my orientation and made sure I was ready to climb safely. I had a great climbing session, but when I lost sight of my AirPods case at the end of my visit, something unexpected happened. The entire staff (and folks at the gym) united to join me on this little mission. Alden, Shane, and a woman from the team (whose name I didn't catch) all helped me search the entire gym until we found it. They were true team players and genuinely just wanted to help me. It was awesome, unexpected, and so appreciated. Everyone was incredibly kind, genuinely helpful, and truly welcoming. I'll be returning to this gym and bringing some friends. If you're looking for a kind, welcoming, and supportive environment, whether you're a first-timer or an experienced climber, you'll find it at PRG Wyncote.
