As someone who's gone to this gym from time to time, there are a few pros & cons that I will list…read moreout in detail to help you better understand as to whether or not this gym is for you! Pros: The gym has a LARGE amount of amenities. There are two basketball courts (which are also used for pickleball), an indoor lap pool with hot tubs, an outdoor swimming area with slides (at an extra charge). There are classes, a ton of different machines for both cardio and lifting, and a really clean and upscale atmosphere. People tend to mind their own business and the staff have on average been helpful, at least in my experience. There is also a kids "daycare" if that's what you call it. A lot of parents will use this so they can have time to work out and actually work. There's a little area right next to the cafe that has tables and outlets. I see a lot of people with MacBooks doing work. They probably work remotely. Who knows. Cons: The price point for this gym is definitely the highest of them all coming in at $220.00 a month per person. IF you are married or you can prove cohabitation, you can add an additional person on your account for around $100 a month. This gym definitely has a crowd that is very gymcentric. This isn't a bad thing. But some people who are looking for a more chill or less intimidating atmosphere may think twice. I was one of these people until I decided to just not care. But that's easier said than done. The gym can be exceptionally crowded at peak hours. So if you plan on going daily I'd do my very best to avoid late afternoons on weekdays and nights on weekends. I was hoping the bathroom situation would be a little better but, there seems to be 2 bathrooms for ladies and men of course (from what I've seen). And with the amount of people there sometimes, it can be a little bit hectic. The locker room is fine and the showers are just average. At the price point of $220.00 I was expecting some futuristic pod shower than also does your taxes but, we all can't have what we want. The outside swimming area is an additional monthly charge, by the way. Conclusion: So take it or leave it. The price point is HIGH, but there are a lot more amenities and options for machines than any other gym out there. Is that justified? I don't really know. So three stars. Until they have a robot that does my taxes, then it might go to 4.

Honestly, it seemed insanely crowded with the usual suspect machine hogs and the perma-tanned preening that you can enjoy for free on South Beach. Pro-tip... you can probably outfit a fairly decent home gym for six months of dues. But what do I know. Three stars for the grins.

Today, I decided to try out the Voorhees location mainly due to the indoor track. I am training for a race and I don't like to run on treadmills or in poor weather. The "indoor track" has 2 narrow lanes for jogging and walking, yet most of the members seemed oblivious to this and I was dodging people who were not aware of their surroundings for most of the run. The track circles their cardio equipment, therefore you're just passing people staring at you run. I quickly realized the indoor track was not what I was looking for. But, I already knew I wouldn't sign up for the gym even before seeing the indoor track due to a comment the member specialist said while giving me a tour. As he is pointing out the equipment, he says "here is the incline chest press, but women don't need to use this unless they are body building." I'm sorry, sir, but as a 60 something year old man who opted to take the elevator instead of the stairs due to physical issues... how the hell do YOU know what women need? Are you a woman? Are you a trainer? Are you ME? No... that comment was unnecessary and I won't be back. Two stars because they do have top of the line equipment, as well as good amenities (sauna, pool). It was crowded, but it was also a Sunday.

I previously gave this gym a harsh but fair rating of three stars. I am now rating it four stars…read morebecause it has what I need and good availability. It's not a fancy place but that doesn't really matter; you're hopefully there to work out and it's perfectly fine for most people who want to work out. One thing that should be pointed out is that they recently swapped some seemingly underused equipment out for half racks. Those look to be very popular (so kudos for meeting customer's needs) but also freed up the smith machines. This makes the gym more open and leaves more racks open at a time. [Further to the gym's credit, it was not too long ago that that bought two extra smith machines to meet demand] My only real issue, as in the past, is that there is not great etiquette among some gym users. Too many people occupy benches and equipment for long periods of time while just sitting on their phones. This happens most often with the cable machines or leg sled. If I can finish three sets of two or three different exercises before you so much as reach for the bar, that's not bad behavior. There are also way too many times that someone takes dumbbells from the rack only to stand only just inches away from it, keeping anyone from getting near that part of the rack. There's no excuse for that when there are several hundred square feet of floor behind them.

They really need to do something about these wanna be body builder guys that will do bent over rows right in front of the rack, and when you politely say "excuse me" so you can get your weights, they say "ill move when I'm done." To make it worse, you can not cancel this contract. I have complained about the women in here that also take 4 different sets of weights to work out with, but when another member did that one time, I saw this lady go up to him and say "there are no weights to use, put them back," when he was only using 2 sets of weights. I get that it is unstaffed at this time in the AM, but they need to review their security footage especially about guys who drop 100LB dumbbells from shoulder height on the floor and could hurt someone. I am trying to find a woman's only gym in the area to not have to deal with these guys and this lady that acts like it her own personal gym in the morning.
