You can top out, and climb up the top, onto the platform, and down a simple route with extra handles. Good experience, I'll be back!

There were only 5 of us, so plenty of time to climb. Our Guide, Bob, was so patient, engaged and informative. I learned a lot of great things that I had not known before about clothing, ropes and technique. Bob was so patient with me and was there with his " green pointer" to help me over the tough spots. You should know that I am 74 years old and tho I have climbed indoors for a few years, my stamina was not that of the youngsters who were there! Nonetheless, it was a great time! I highly recommend Valley to Summit, this being my 3 rd trip with them. They Rock!

He asked a few questions, then determined that it should be OK for me to go on the hike. Shortly before the hike we received an email from Dave saying that because of the warm weather the trip would not have as much ice as it normally does. He offered to reschedule or refund our money if we wanted, but also said we could go if we wanted. We wanted. When I got there Dave and the guides were fantastic. Very personable. They were helpful but without being intrusive. One of them carried one of my forearm canes in his backpack in case I needed it. (This was to have one hand free for the ice axe.) The hike was great. At the end of the hike I asked one of the guides if he thought I could do the repelling they offer... he conferred with the owner and the lead repeller guide, and they agreed that I would be allowed to do that in the Spring. I highly recommend Valley to Summit for a great time. I look forward to a full day ice hike in February.

The heater motor burned out on Tuesday and NO repairs have been made and there is no information available regarding status. It is COLD in the gym. And with next week's forecast showing highs in the 20s, this is not sustainable. An indoor business like this should have HVAC issues resolved same day or, worse case, next day. We're on Day 4 and no workers anywhere. I plan to ask for a refund for any days where it is too cold to use the gym.

Running/jogging at 5.5 all of a sudden drops to 4 without notice. I had to grab on the side bars to avoid falling . I brought it to the attention of the front desk. They said they would email maintenance. A half hour latter I was surprised to see no warning sign on the tread mill.. Inquired as to why I was told they were waiting on the maintenance guy. I informed them that it was a safety issue and I didn't want to see anybody getting hurt. I had already warned another member of the issue. Their message seems to be let sleeping dogs lie. When safety is not a priority time to move on. Ignorance is bliss

The right side must have 50' of top rope climbing running the 200' length of the building. Left side has bathrooms, lounge, exercise area and a yoga studio. Bouldering is the upper floor on the left. Overall, it is well organized by color, and easy to follow. There is not a plethora of tape on the wall . Each climb also has the difficulty level posted with a corresponding color. This gym needs 2 feet things to make it 5 stars: a good cleaning of the thick dust covering everything (walls, mats, floor, items for sale, etc) and deodorizing of the foot smell.

My 11 year old son attended Climbnasium for a birthday party and had a blast. He received a gift…read morecard shortly after, so I took a belaying class so that he could go top roping with his gift card. The class was informational and thorough, and the instructor made sure I was doing it safely and confidently before sending us off on our own. There were a paths with varying difficulties and my son was able to challenge his limits. There were more people in there than I expected, but there was plenty of space for everyone, and everyone was very courteous and encouraging. He also did some bouldering. He can't wait to go back! I may need to invest in some belaying gloves. :)

The routes get changed every semester or so for both bouldering and top rope climbing, and there are two auto-belays if you go there and don't have anyone to help belay you. (The people who go are also super nice--I've had people offer to belay me whenever I go alone!) They offer belay classes here as well--I think it's around $30, and once you're certified (they test you 3 times before letting you do your thing), you can come whenever you want! If you don't plan on getting belay-certified, you can still boulder whenever you want! :] For guests, it's just $5 for admission, which is about 1/4 the price of any day admission to the nearby climbing gyms. Harness rental is always free and shoe rental is $1 each time (free for your first time there though!)
