Weather permitting, this spot allows for a quick bite (picnic, cheap grocery store snack, takeout from nearby Montrachet or Buckley's), for kids and pets to stretch their legs, and maybe even a rest on your blanket in the shade. It's clean, well kept, and kids had a blast. To start the water you must tap the red pole (shown in my photos) about every 5min to keep water running. This is easy for kids playing to run over and operate. (No attendants on site.) It is really nice, lots of water features and a newer playground within it. My kids were entertained and could have stayed all day. (wow, I really didn't try the alliteration until I was halfway through the sentence). Sorry, I'm rambling... yet again... So I still give this lovely park 5 stars despite lacking one of those cool splash pads like some of the surrounding parks. Each area of this particular park is so carefully attended to... the picnic tables, pavilions, play structures (oops, there I go again). And the bathrooms are so clean! A sure sign of high performance parks n' rec. It's never overcrowded which is great. And we parents with kids are all civil and nice... it's like we all watch Daniel Tiger together or something. Haven't been to any concerts or big events. Big downside for me is that the running trail is only 9/10 of a mile which leaves a dunce like me who failed the fractions test in grade school completely clueless as to how many whole miles I've run. Just kidding... I don't run. Is that the ice cream truck I hear? Gotta run.

New playset with clubhouse attached by a bridge! Playhouse has a corkscrew style fireman pole! Main playset has a double-slide and additional single slide. Actual stairs allow easy access for toddlers, and as shown in my pics, parents can get in for easy access to all parts of this thing, so no one gets away from you. I walked all over this thing and it held me fine. It's not going anywhere! Swings have been reduced from four to just two (both baby seats), but it seemed to work out okay. Today was a busy Columbus day, and there was no line for swings. Still a bouncy seesaw thing. They kids love that! Super popular, everyone is making it hop all day long! Little ones enjoy the middle where it's less crazy! A series of graduating height/diameter bongo drums is in the corner where the xylophone used to be. My toddler loved them! I wish they were a little shorter, but he still went nuts. There are chimes to replace the xylophone, located under the clubhouse, alongside some built-in puzzles and steering wheel things. A cool new rope climbing aparatus replaces the old curved hanging bars. This is advanced for toddlers. Not sure how it fits with the vision of Tot Lot, but it satisfies older siblings who need a better challenge. There is another little car thing for toddler exploration. Has vinyl flap doors they can get in and out of, and things to steer and move around inside. The whole ground surface is freshly re-done in more rubber, this time, a mix of black and blue to hide dirt. Same fence, same rules, same latching gate. Great new play space! Thanks, Media Borough!

They have a lot of cool new equipment you don't see at other playgrounds. There is a smaller section was that was perfect for my 1.5 year old. It was pretty crowded even on a weekday, so I would recommend going during the week. My kids are already asking when we can go back.
