Attended the Bellevue concert summer series. Most performances are on Thursday nights or Sunday nights. Parking within the park was easy as there were people guiding us where to go. Although it was very crowded, there was plenty of room for everyone so it didn't feel overly crowded. There were food trucks and beer tents set up for patrons! A 50/50 was also going on! A beautiful park in Delaware. I have yet to see see horses here, but I do see a horse in there yelp picture. The park is very big and there are lots of trails. It's also very beautiful and has lots of green. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that I currently do live in Delaware, but my license plate is from out of State so I still have to pay out-of-state license fee for the parking. Maybe they will soon change it so that they will take bills as proof of Delaware resident as well. read more

We ended up coming to Bellevue State Park because it is located right off I-95, and it's a centralized meeting point between me and my friend's home. Turns out it's actually a very active, fun park. Bring your dog and kids. It's light and fun there. It used to be a horse training course, among other things, for the DuPont family. Now it's a state park. They have lots of easy paved trails, which are not strenuous. It's good just for strolling outside. They also have frisbee golf, and groups of guys were taking advantage of it. I enjoyed seeing how a park can keep reinventing itself. People were fishing in the pond, too. We took advantage of the picnicking areas. During the warmer months they charge $8 for out of state residents and $4 for in-state. I understand because Delaware doesn't have a sales or income tax. We went the day after Christmas, when it was warmer than normal. read more

We were traveling for work in Philadelphia and Delaware was close by. It's one of the few states I hadn't been to so we decided to check it off the list. They charge an $8 fee to get in for non-residents which felt pretty steep to me. Most state parks don't charge. The park itself is nice, but didn't really feel like a state park to me. It was more at the level of a county park. There's a nice pond to walk around and some horse back riding I believe, but overall it doesn't really offer as much as other state parks. It would be a good place to hang out, but I probably wouldn't because of the entrance fee. read more

Bellevue is a small state park in North Wilmington that really isn't worth driving out of your way to visit, but is a great option for locals who want to get outside. Bellevue offers a wide gravel track that's just over a mile per lap for those looking to run/walk/bike along a flat surface, but there are also a few paved trails that wind through field and woods alike. Near the track, there is a playground and an area with picnic tables; occasionally they utilize that space for special events. The space offers a bunch of community garden plots, a frisbee golf course, and beach volleyball courts. BF enjoys going there to run or we'll often take our dog for a walk --- pets are permitted on leash. There's usually plenty of parking. Expect a small fee to get in unless you've purchased a DE State Park pass. read more

What a beautiful state park only 30 minutes away from Philadelphia. It's a large state park so there's so much to do! If you're into geocaching, there's about 3 in the park that are fun to find. Also they have disc golf, but bring your own frisbees! It's a beautiful place to go on a walk, have a picnic, or bring your dog. Definitely worth checking out read more

Went fishing here last week it was great. Quiet and remote. People were social distancing across the lake. The fishing area wasn't that far walk from the car. My daughter's favorite part was feeding the geese read more

I first visited Bellevue in 1986 when a date was trying to impress me with the French restaurant that was housed inside the mansion. Restaurant- long gone but the mansion and impressive out buildings still stand. It has a number of paths to walk and bike. Playgrounds, horse stables, riding, picnic areas. Anyone can find something to do here. Today we walked a very level, partially shaded wide crushed stone walking path for some exercise noticing along the way how clean it was. My friend informed me they had a "Carry In, Carry out" policy as notated by signage. You will not find a trash can anywhere in the park other than the picnic groves so make sure you " Carry out". Daily entry fee for in state is $4/day and for out of state is $8/day. As the park is located right on the border of PA and just a bridge away from Jersey I think more people would visit if the out of state fee were slightly lower than double the price. Same for the yearly passes of $35 for instate and $70 for out of state. read more

A great state park in the northern part of Wilmington. I work next store so I walk in from my work's property but you can drive in and pay an admission fee. I really enjoy this park because it has great paved trails that wind around the park, from the figure 8 barn, to the Bellevue Mansion, the stables and to the private garden patches. The park also has a huge gravel track that used to be a running track for the original owner's horses. Now its great for walking and running. If you play disc golf, the park also has a course. Definitly worth checking out. read more

I love Bellevue. I come here several times a week. The just-over-a-mile gravel track is perfect for runners and walkers. There are also plenty of paved trails that go past the horse stables, Bellevue Mansion, various gardens, beautiful meadows, tennis courts, and through the peaceful woods. You can also sit and relax next to the small lake/pond with your fishing pole. There are lots of shaded picnic areas where I see a lot of parties and gatherings. All around awesome park! I feel lucky to live so close by. read more

Oh wow how are there no reviews? I've been going to this park for years because I've always lived in the area. For kids especially, there's multiple playgrounds with swings. For adults, there's a (gravel) track with exercise stations that provides for a good workout if you have the time. And for everyone, there's picnic areas, volleyball nets, and a big pond where you can fish and feed birds. You have multiple routes for a good run or bike ride. A trip here provides for a nice day. read more

Gorgeous park - my favorite in Delaware, maybe only behind Cape Henlopen. There are numerous walking trails, both sunny and shady. I have yet to see a single piece of litter, despite their carry-in, carry-out policy, which can lead to mess in other parks (I'm looking at you, Battery). I haven't experienced the fall foliage yet, but I have no doubt it will be stunning. read more

Very nice park. Very big. Lots of Trails and different jungle gym spots and swings for the kids. Nice sized pond in the middle of it all. They even have horses there although you can't really interact with them they are still beautiful to look at. The grounds are clean and kept up. Overall great place to come and spend some time outdoors. read more

I go to this park all the time and if there is no attendant at the entrance I am honest and always leave the entrance fee in the box. I am a delaware resident so the fee is $3. I attempted to visit the park today (8-13-14) and there happened to be an attendant. He said "PA plates that's $6" I said "no it's DE plates." I forgot that there was a temporary 30 day transit plate on my car because I just purchased it in PA and did not get the paperwork yet to register it in DE. When I tried to explain to him about how I forgot and why I said it's a DE plate, he didn't want to listen. He was so extremely rude and wouldn't even let me try to explain my error. I am a very non confrontational person and he proceeded to argue with me about it and jump down my throat if I tried to speak. I could not believe it! I took my money back and turned around and went to alapocas run state park. I will not be going back to Bellevue until I hear a response back that the rude attendant is gone. read more

I had my wedding at the mansion there. It was beautiful! The staff was very helpful. They recommended great vendors, and the day went off without a hitch. I recommend having the ceremony at the gazebo, the reception on the first floor, and getting dressed on the second floor. read more
