A beautiful place to spend an afternoon! The park is huge with several entrances and parking lots. The black top roads go through the whole park. It's possible to drive through the park. There's a playground near one of the meadows. The bathroom near the playground was closed on a Sunday in February. There's a large parking lot near the river. The river has a bridge walkway. There's a large house here with bathrooms. A fire pit is located in the front. Kayaks are available in warm weather. Many of the walking trails can be accessed from here. There are lots of easy walking trails on blacktop as well as on dirt. Horses are allowed in some areas. Dogs are allowed. Tyler State Park is an oasis of nature.

We came to Tyler park in the middle of January and it was so beautiful in the cold. We saw 2 bald eagles flying around which was such a cool thing to see. I love the trails and scenery.

Beautiful park! There's lots of shades and has a many benches for picnic area. This would be the place to take your family and small children out for a hike and explore.

First time there was very enjoyable. Very good for birding if you're into that. Nature trails are a little small, but I was told about an eagle by horse riders, so I will be back.

Love going to Tyler for almost 24 years! Been taking the kids since they were little! Hiking, canoeing, rock skipping, just perfect for a day of local fun! Now I take the kids as adults for long walks and good conversations! Beautiful!

If you need a place to work out.... If you want to randomly meet new people.... If you want to enjoy nature and see wildlife all around you.... If you want to get together with friends and have a picnic.... If you want to go boat riding.... If you want to go fishing.... If you want to see a beautiful Covered Bridge where photos come out amazing... Then Tyler State Park is your place! Almost all their trails are paved, and there are so many different trails to take, it never gets boring! I also love all the wildlife all about you! If I only had the time, I could legit spend hours here every day~ Great for people of all ages, as they have benches spread throughout the park for you to sit if you get tired.

It is a park that is walking distance from my cousin's house when I visit him. I go all the time when I visit my cousins As a park for locals, I would give it 5 stars. The park is huge. Most of the trails are paved so it is great for a leisurely stroll, run or biking. There is a creek/ boathouse where a lot of people hang out around, picnic areas and a disc golf course. I enter at Twinning Ford road, walk in the Dairy Hill Trail, then head to the boathouse and make a large loop around the park. The scenery is pretty but not spectacular. Again, it is a great spot if you are a local or in town anyway. As a state park I would drive long distances for, there are probably better options.

COVID has certainly expanded my knowledge of local parks, and I'm sad that it took me so long to find Tyler State Park. It always seems to well attended, so you won't feel alone, but not overcrowded either (except around the boathouse sometimes!). Seemingly a popular area for horse riding, the park also features a fairly large frisbee golf course, picnic areas, modern bathrooms, boat rentals, children's playgrounds, sand volleyball courts, a small community theater and an arts center. The walk or bike ride from the boathouse and dam out to Schofield Ford Covered Bridge is a beautiful trip with your choice of following an easy, wide paved trail or a more rustic trail right along the west bank of the Neshaminy Creek, both of which provide lovely views of the creek and surrounding wildlife and landscape. While I'm sad that it took me so long to finally make my way over to Tyler State Park, I'll make sure to make up for the time I missed there in the near future.

Lots to do here! Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, picnicking, barbequing, biking, etc. Great for dogs. Went on a hike along Neshaminy Creek yesterday in perfect hiking weather. The trail was a few miles long one way and it was easy. Parking lot and restrooms near beginning of the trail. There were lots of spots along the trail where you could rest and enjoy the view of the creek.

Tyler State Park is great to eaither fish or take the kids to enjoy a nice bike ride and even to just walk the trails and enjoy the day with the family. Can even bring a grill along and enjoy a nice picnic with a bunch of people. They have nice size tables set up. Can even pay to canoe on the creeks. They have nice clean bathroom all around the park. You can bring your dog along to run around in the creek and stay cool on a hot summer day. And there is a playground for the kids to play at with a water fountin. There is so much to do. So bring your walking shoes, food, fishing rods, bikes, etc and just enjoy a nice time out. And every so often the ice cream man will come around so bring some spare change!!!

This is my happy place! Beautiful comfortable spaces to walk and bike. It seems as if the layout shields well with shade. Even when it's super windy, there's enough protection due to the trees. There are areas to socialize, or to be alone and see very few people. It's all very Zen

I've driven past this park so many times and didn't realize it was even there! Once you turn in and drive down the path, there is a beautiful view of Neshaminy Creek with plenty of picnic benches. The park boasts many different trails that are marked well, and it is heavily trafficked. They also allow people to ride their horses on the trail, so beware of horse droppings! An interesting portion we stumbled upon was a disc golf course. Could be fun for more coordinated people ;).

Harry Dunham is a beautiful hilly park. Great for walking, picnic Pavillion, soccer fields. But twisting through the park is one of the best disc golf courses I've ever played and I refer to it as my home course. You can easily play 9 holes in 90 minutes or less. Warmer weather can get a little backed up but not bad. Give it a try! You can play with any disc you're comfortable with but there are hundreds of professional disc companies styles and weights. After you play a bit you'll notice you like certain throws and conditions. I'm hoping to bring more Disc Golf reviews to Yelp. It's a great activity for the whole family. Playing once a week is awesome exercise. The cool thing about Harry Dunham is it's easy to get to, quick to play, diverse holes, and you could easily play a few times a week and not get bored. Come play disc golf at Harry Dunham Park or one of the dozens of other courses in the area.

I'm actually not the biggest fan-- I don't come here all that often-- but, objectively speaking,…read moreit's a nice park that definitely has a lot to offer. It's not far from where I live, and I used to jog here occasionally with a friend (she lived within a half mile of it). However, she got married, moved away, and I personally prefer Mountain Park, a mile or 2 up the road in Warren (no Yelp entry on it, so I haven't been able to write about it), when I do a solo jog (or a "fast walk" these days; my knees aren't what they used to be). If I were being purely subjective, it might rate a star lower because I come here so rarely now. But, in the interests of being objective-- well, its got a lot to offer. I can't imagine anyone not liking it. There's ample parking if you drive here. There are a couple of athletic fields, there's a playground for kids, there's a covered pavilion or gazebo (actually, if I remember right, I think there are 2) where cooking can be done and that I think can be rented out for groups. Evidently, there's also an indoor facility that's available, although I've never paid much attention to it. At the opposite end of the park, there's a roller/hockey rink set-up. When I was last "fast walking" in the park, a fairly large Asian group was having some sort of dance class/exercise session there, which was interesting to observe if not actually participate in. Throughout the park are benches to take a breather on, or, if you're with someone, have a conversation on, or maybe just to sit on and "people watch," if that's your thing. Ever hear of "disc golf?" No? I haven't either, but the park has the necessary set-up for it, if it's your thing. It does have its fair share of adherents, judging by the people participating in it during the spring/summer months. They have a nice 9/11 memorial in the center area of the park. My favorite aspect of it all is the wooded area that surrounds much of the park; it has a nice, well-tended path (paved with wood chips) winding its way through at least a portion of it. When I was last here, the sun was setting with a haunting beauty, its rays filtering down through the trees and becoming lost in the thick foliage of the forest itself as twilight deepened, and it was like being in nature's grand cathedral--- I'm essentially an agnostic, but if I do have anything within me that could quality as religious feelings, I have them when I'm out in the midst of such ethereal loveliness and splendor. I guess it's a little TOO popular, in my humble opinion; it always seems a little too crowded for my taste (then again, that could be dependent upon what time of day you go here, or what day of the week/weekend you go). Sometimes you have to dodge kids barreling down the paths on their bicycles, or jump to avoid a "projectile" coming at your head from one of the overly-enthusiastic "disc golf" guys. But, this is, objectively or subjectively, a nice park, and it offers a lot for people with families, groups, the athletically inclined, or those who might just want to take a meandering, meditative walk through a pleasant rural setting by themselves. I'm not entirely sure who Harry Dunham is (or was), but he has a nice park named after him. We should all be so lucky!
