This store might look like a solid sporting goods shop on the surface.. it's got a wide selection…read moreof gear for most activities ranging from corn hole to gold to even cloud-of-dust football, but dig a little deeper and the problems show fast. First off, the staff.. Friendly enough, but they don't know what they're selling in some cases and the green ones just aren't trained properly. Ask a question about a specific item, and you'll, at-times, get a shrug, a guess, or a gentle push toward buying something they think might work. Other times, you'll get a jbiwkedgavbke individual who can be friendly. On one end, It's the kind of customer service that leaves you doubting your purchase the second you walk out; while on the other, you'll be happy enough. All is good enough to fit the norm and I would give it a high rating, but what really turned my head the other way, though, is the direction this store is heading. They quietly got rid of their firearms section, clearly as a political move to appeal to the mainstream. That might earn them points in certain circles, but let's be honest, sportsmen don't follow woke trends, and we don't check our rights at the door just to make people feel comfortable. If a true sporting goods store doesn't stand behind all aspects of the outdoor and sporting lifestyle, then what are they really selling? In short: present day good selection, but a store that's lost its backbone. I'll be taking my business elsewhere anymore.

A super helpful and sweet employee named Diane helped her with all of her needs. My daughter got everything on her list and was very happy with the sale prices. I felt like Diane was our personal concierge as she helped us for at least a half an hour. Robert helped us with the backpacks as well. Another nice employee. As with my prior visit many years ago, the staff was helpful and not pushy, which is always huge for me because I can't stand pushy people. Diane, let us know about this great credit card that REI has and the great bonus that goes with it - you get a $100 gift card to REI when you spend outside of REI (any amount!) within a two month period. Easy cheesy to do that! While this isn't a store for me, it will be for my daughter. The quality of their clothing is exceptional! We left happy and definitely satisfied!

I didn't remember seeing any the last couple times we were there. I was told they did, so we went over. We were surprised with how many they actually had in the size we needed because other stores we visited were very limited. We were greeted by 3 or 4 workers upon entering and we were pointed in the direction. After browsing for a bit, the worker came over with a ball and told us to try it out. My daughter found one she wanted and they guy told us he could match a price I saw online. Very helpful and even more friendly. This was the first time were received great service from them and we will go back for more. It really is a great store because they have athletic equipment and gear and well as a large team apparel selection to choose from (and not just Philly sports). Thank you!

My experience was very underwhelming to the point where I had to sit down and do my own research in the store because my questions that I had were not getting answered. They'll be slick and give you these black socks to try on, and then charge you at the end unless you say no. They'll charge you $150 for orthotic type inner soles at the end too without telling you the price upfront. I had to tell them no to everything. I can get my own custom made orthotics for nothing. The salesperson did say that my orthotics from them can get reimbursed through insurance. If that's true, great if not, we have a problem if she gives out false information to customers. They FORCE the VIP club down your throat, it's disgusting. I would not come here again.

Recently found this little gem of a place in Haddonfield, NJ that focuses on girls and women's…read moresports. Stopped in because we were going to be down in the area anyway and my daughter needed a new field hockey stick-and had a great experience. The owner was there to help us out and we were able to spend quality time with her to determine the best stick for my daughter. We were there about an hour and never once did we get the 'upsell' for a more expensive stick...she took her time with my daughter and, like Olivander in Harry Potter, let the stick choose the girl! We were also able to pick up additional items and were given a discount for what seemed like no other reason than she was an amazing person who really cares about girls and women's sports. The only unfortunate thing for us is that her place is SO far out of our way it would be difficult to make this a regular shopping site for us. My sales pitch??? If you live anywhere near Haddonfield, NJ and need sports gear/apparel for your field hockey, lacrosse, soccer or basketball playing daughter-this is the spot!
