The eggs were delicious. Hash was good. Home fries were last week old bake potatoes. They were very dry. The gravy was large and gelatinous. My wife got the eggs Benedict and grits. Egg was great cooked excellent. Grits were instant and got water this in just a few minutes??? All the food needed salt and pepper. It was bland. Lots of windows looking outside.

I guess because of the time we were the only ones there. We were with our grandson too just the three of us. The were told by Johnny the waiter to sit anywhere we wanted. The place is beautifully decorated with artwork and the view of the intercostal is breathtaking. I was a little worried at first that our 16 year old grandson might not like anything on the menu since he is a little bit picky. He then pointed out the angus cheese burger with fries under the sandwich section to my relief. So that's what he ordered. My wife ordered the crab cake burger that she ordered years ago with fries and coleslaw. I ordered the grouper sandwich with Mo Bay seasoning lightly blackened and it has grilled onions, lettuce and tomato with a special sauce on the side. It came two sides also I chose the cucumber salad and didn't want coleslaw or fries so Johnny said how about a double cucumber salad. I said sounds. We also ordered an appetizer of plantains and it comes with sour cream which I never had them with but they were delicious! My grouper sandwich I'm pretty sure was the best one I've ever had. It was moist, juicy and incredibly delicious. Also the cucumber salad I can say one of the best cucumber salads I've ever had too. My wife was very happy with her crab cake sandwich and fries. And my grandson advised me later that his angus cheese burger was better than the angus cheese burgers that I made for him last night. I'm glad it was his birthday lunch. Johnny the our waiter was constantly checking on us and keeping our dinks full. I did have the crab bisque soup but a tad spicy for me. Portions are very filling and prices are very reasonable. This will be our go to place when visiting Sebastian. Maybe even the destination.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Some of you know that I am often brought to historic downtowns and villages in hopes of "letterbox seeding" them. As I get close to concluding Historic Downtown Melbourne/Melbourne Main Street, I am moving both south to Sebastian Riverview Area and north to the Eau Gallie Art District. Today, I decided to further check out the Sebastian Riverview Area and it looks like I'll be getting more done here as I discover more "mom n' pop" shops. One of the restaurants in the area I've been to before is Cafe Latte da. Located on the northside of the Sebastian Riverview Area on the riverside of US-1 (across the street from The District), Cafe Latte da is a smallish shop ran by two women. It is a quaint coffee shop that looks like stepping into grandma's house, well, at least the view you'd think seen on classic television, especially on Lifetime. The women are very kind. Very friendly and admirable and I had such a nice conversation with them. As for the food, it was delicious for what they have. Definitely a place you want to support. Now for the overall criticism. As much as I like this place, I most stress critical points that may be a factor for other patrons. For starters, the two women seem to be the only ones running this place, so there is a layer of grime often associated with homes ran by older people. Each menu had a bit of stickiness to it. For me, not a problem. But I know it can be an issue for others. It is quite evident things need to be wiped down. You can especially see crumbs on certain displays. Next, the food menu is good, but can be limited given the limits they have. Take that as you may, but so far, everything they had served me was delicious which is the more important factor in my opinion. Ultimately, I am going to give an overall rating of three out of five stars. It is good to go here if you can be graceful on some things. But there are some, especially some of my friends who are germiphobes and get uppity if a restroom doesn't have a means to open the door without using your hands. Still, give these ladies and their coffee shop some love. They are pillars in expressing and progressing the community with all the local artists displaying their art, events, and activities they support. I truly hope someone can give them the assistance they need because this place is great, but I can sense there can be issues others might see, especially with certain priviledges we Americans have when it comes to eating out.,

Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list. We spent half our visit sipping and the other half laughing at the hilarious signs covering the walls and at the antics of a couple of regulars who clearly keep the place lively. We have not tried the food yet, but the vibe alone guarantees we will be back and we will be coming hungry.
