This is a local and family favorite. The pizza is delicious! It's a small local pizza place, they serve alcohol, also great for take out.

Best pizza I've ever had- hands down without a doubt in my mind. And it costs the same as dominos. Riverview is a gem of the Northshore

No nonsense, thin crust pizzas for $6-7 and pints for $3.50; good service in an old school setting. Five stars.

I enjoyed Luna Mare. My boyfriend and I order three small plates (tuna crudo, lamb lollipops, and…read morebriam) and shared the half paella for dinner. It was the perfect amount of food for us. The pistachio baklava was delicious, but it was very very sweet! Our waiter, Seamus was very attentive and friendly. He mentioned that the paella was spicy and we were able to change it to a mild flavor. It was really nice of him to mention that to us since it wasn't listed on the menu that the paella would be spicy.

The place was redone and the atmosphere is casual modern upscale with the bar/lounge area to the right side and dining rooms to the left side. There is also outdoor patio seating. The menu offers Mediterranean fare including tapas/mezze, charcuterie, large plates (meat & seafood dishes, pasta), sandwiches, burgers, salads, and dessert. The bar offers 4 draft beers, bottle/can beers, wine, cocktails, and mocktails. The prices are moderate high. I stopped by Luna Mare for dinner during their soft opening phase. The place was fairly busy and I took an open seat at the C-shaped bar. The bartender gave me a paper menu to look over Some menu items were not available. I ordered the Mussels Saganaki ($12 plus tax) and Fried Fish Sandwich with Fries ($18 plus tax). I was given a basket of ciabatta bread with olive oil dip. The mussels arrived first, 20 mussels simmered with white wine, peppers, garlic, feta cheese. Next, the fried fish sandwich arrived, which had Turkish tatare, beets & lettuce between chewy ciabatta bread, served with puffed potato curl fries. After that, I got the check which was $32.10 (cash)/$33.38 (card) with tax and before tip. Overall, the food here was pretty good and I would come back when the full menu is available.

Choate Bridge Pub & Restaurant - Baked Haddock

We sat at the bar both times and it just wasn't up to par compared to the Choate before new ownership took over. The service was great but... The baked haddock did not have the same delicious crumbs and the portion was too huge to finish and we know seafood doesn't really make for good leftovers. The fried haddock was done a little too much; the coating was too dark and again so much of it! The salads have grown to twice their size but served in the same tiny dish; much of our salad ended up in our laps and on the floor... The broccoli and squash were just okay but again the portions are HUGE! A bit disappointing really...we both would have preferred less, more delicious food of yore rather than the enormous portions of sub-par flavors. A lot of food doesn't necessarily mean delicious... Both visits left us feeling a little sad and nostalgic for the way the Choate used to be.

**Classic local watering hole with solid food and atmosphere**…read more The Chote Pub is definitely a neighborhood spot through and through. You can tell the regulars get priority attention from the bartenders, but we eventually got taken care of too - just be prepared to be patient if it's busy and you're a new face. The food was good with very generous portions that definitely give you your money's worth. Drinks were well-made and hit the spot. We loved the setup for watching football - great views of the games from multiple angles around the bar. **Important heads-up: This is a CASH ONLY establishment.** Make sure you stop at an ATM before you arrive, or you'll be making a quick exit to find one. The vibe here is very much old-school local pub - if that's your scene, you'll love it. If you're looking for something more polished or trendy, this might not be your spot. We enjoyed the unpretentious atmosphere and will likely be back, but it's definitely worth knowing what you're walking into first. Bottom line: Come for honest pub fare, generous portions, cold drinks, and a genuine local experience. Just bring cash!

The staff are friendly and the servers knowledgeable and efficient. The hostess had trouble finding our reservation (my companion was already seated) but it seemed to be quite busy that Friday night. The restaurant consists of quite a few separate rooms and we were seated in one that was not too crowded. (I walked through the bar on my way in and that was hopping.) I had a glass of sauvignon blanc and after studying the menu and consulting our server my companion and I both went for a burger. There was no problem with my swapping our the french fries for onion rings (points there!). The burgers were done exactly to our liking (mine mediume rare, hers medium well). I should have turned down dessert, I was that full, but my companion was willing so we went for it. There was a good selection of typical New England desserts and we finally settled on a blueberry crisp topped with vanilla ice cream which was good but not great (not sure I can put my finger on why, so it may be that I was too full to enjoy it). There is a parking lot although it is not paved so was not fun walking through at the end of a day when it clearly had rained. It also could use some lighting. This is a wonderful restaurant suitable for a special occasion or an ordinary night out. I will definitely be back.

We ordered a few things to split and went off of what we saw at other tables. So many people had the pizzas so we had to give it a go. The French onion soup was fantastic and rich. The Ceaser salad was good, and not too intense but it was garlicky and had homemade hand ripped croutons. We were starving so we ordered the Brussels sprouts on a whim and it was incredible! The umami flavor and sou sauce ginger aioli with the pickled onions was so unexpected we almost ordered one to go. Lastly was the pizza, the dough is great and sadly we didn't get to try their red sauce but the pizza was excellent. They have a huge beer selection and we loved seeing their on tap selection. Definitely recommend getting a reservation since they never had empty tables but there wasn't a line out the door. There are two sides to the restaurant and the bar is big and well staffed. We waited about 15 minutes to get water or see any one at our table but that's because we came at 6:30 pm on a Saturday and they were absolutely busy. Once we saw our waitress and got our order in it was quick and smooth sailing. Highly recommend grabbing a seat at the high tops and enjoying your time.

We went back again last week and must have caught them on an "off" night: we think the usual chef was off because it was obvious the person in the kitchen didn't know what they were doing. All three of us had salad as our starters which were OK: large but were already dressed with an abundance of dressing. My companions both ordered Ruebens. The meat was tough as shoe leather. It might have been ok if the cook had used a meat slicer to cut the meat in thin slices but it was sliced in two thick chunks, making it impossible to eat. The server said that ppl were always sending it back...hmm...The server/bar tender was very nice and took those off the bill. A meatball appetizer was ordered and was very good. I had chicken wings as my second course (well done) and they were OK. My S-I-L had an order but didn't specify "well done", so hers were chewy and not so good. We were very disappointed in the food but thought the server did a great job.
