My partner ordered bread, after bread, after bread. He adored smearing flavoured butter onto warm bread! My scrumptious entree was baked fish with morel mushroom, fiddleheads, mash potatoes, cream corn and grilled vegetables. The flavour of the fish was enhanced by the earthiness of the morel mushrooms and fiddleheads. It was a celebration of spring! My companions and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. It was the highlight of our weekend at the cottage!

I've been to TFC a number of times for both a-la-carte dinners, Sunday family dinners and, most recently, brunch. Well worth the drive or a definite stop-in if you're in Beaver Valley looking for one of the best restaurants in the area. The kitchen staff are flawless and professional - great ingredients, prepared well with care with just enough uniqueness to make a difference and done consistently. The space is lovely - just the right size to be intimate and filled with fun things (check out the bathrooms). Equally comfortable serving families, or that special date night. Portions are generous (my only knock is they need some kids sizes. My kids were a bit overwhelmed by portion). The menu strays towards comfort food, which is great. Lovely roast chicken, family style veggies, ribs, etc. Service is solid - pleasant, attentive but not particularly notable. Will keep coming back.

Wonderful establishment. The food is amazing. We of course…read morehad the broasted chicken as this it what this restaurant is known for. There are various plate sizes available. There is an attached store where you can buy assorts of baked goods, take away broasted chicken, and textiles. I tried a pie but I couldn't finish it as I was full! For me the service wasn't the best, I have been twice and the first visit we were told the regular plate only has two pieces of chicken the second time we had 3 as per the menu. It felt when communicating with staff they didn't want deal with us. There were people who were seated after us but were served before us. The atmosphere is relaxed, quiet, there can be a wait as this place is popular.

Based on a recommendation to come here I saw fried chicken and didn't care about anything else. We…read morelucked out because our wait time was only 30 min just past the lunch around 1-2pm. Usual wait time I've heard is over an hour or more. When you walk in the restaurant is to your left where you wait on church pews. Put your name on the list and wait. But the right side of the entrance door is a big space full of locally produced items for sale along with some toys and things. They also have freezers full of their food for sale including desserts and gluten free items. They have fresh butter there as well. The selling point for me was their front aisle full of desserts from cookies to cupcakes to tarts to fresh bread! And their front of store where the cash is; is the gold mine of all the pies you can dream of. It's literally pie heaven and donuts. EVERYTHING is made in house it seems or local for sure. Nothing is mass produced here. So this front of store will keep you occupied until your table is ready. Once you are seated. The menu is small. Average. But it's their best seller the BROASTED chicken. (Broasted chicken is a type of fried chicken cooked in a pressure fryer, which combines pressure cooking with deep frying.) and they have a $25 combo which includes soup/salad and bread, broastech chicken plus side and veggies (corn, mash potatoes, fries, coleslaw) and then dessert included. Any pies/cakes on the menu!! You must try this place out. I will be back most definitely!! It's 30 min west of St Jacob's market. Worth the drive!!!!
