After my wife and I set up at the Family Paradise campground, we wanted to go out and Cowbell was recommended to us by the staff. We made the drive, not too far really. It's a beautiful large building! Well kept and clean! Our server, Jessie, did a great job informing us of the menu and specials. She was professional and personable! We ordered pretzel bites as an appetizer and adult beverages. I ordered their IPA. The pretzel bites were kind of chewy and the mustard sauce was in between. Not sure exactly what they were trying to do with it. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't too hot. I really was not impressed that much with the IPA, I ordered another just to make sure, same results. My wife's Buffalo ranch pizza was large and well appointed; however, we just weren't sure about the flavors. My fish and chips was huge! I really enjoyed the fish! Must say the coleslaw left me scratching my head and the french fries were lacking something. Again, Jesse did a great job, she was the highlight of her visit! read more

It was a wonderful trip. The decor is amazing and really creates a setting surrounding it's business. I tried the cherry cider - so good! Food wise it was great. The cranberry turkey was on the dry side though, the fries had dried out too. read more

The brisket they served me was as tough as an old work boot just about broke a tooth on it Thanks Dave Knight read more

We went to cowbell for a birthday dinner and were pleased with our experience. Most of us ordered flights of beer allowing us to sample 4 different kinds, I also ordered the Hijinx seltzer which was sweet. The food was good, especially the bacon jam burger. The service was quick and polite. The restaurant itself had a country feel, with barn doors and wooden tables. Of course the brewery also had a gift shop with a lot of souvenir items. Overall, cowbell was a lovely place for dinner and drinks, I only wish the weather had been nicer to experience the patio. read more

food is over priced! i had the fish and it was terrible, it tasted like cardboard. The quality of food has gotten terrible. My friend got the chicken and it was basically glorified chicken finger and fries. read more

I swung in here on a chilly Monday in late June, figuring it would probably be more memorable and delicious than the Tim Horton's that the sign on the bike trail was trying to direct me towards. I was not to be disappointed. I went with the hot chicken sandwich for lunch, which was pretty tasty and well flavored, albeit not as hot as when I had hot chicken in Nashville. Still, it can border on too hot in Nashville, so "medium" heat is not all bad. Sweet potato fries made for an excellent side. Cowbell makes both cider and beer - how cool is that? - and I went for a peach cider. Tasty, medium-sweet, maybe not the best cider I've had all year but good enough that rather than venture back out into the cold, I decided to stay and have more Cowbell. And after sampling a couple, the blueberry lemonade sour was the winner. If you like sours, this seasonal one is not to be missed. Both the lemons and blueberries were noticeable, with that distinctive sour tartness that sets them apart from other styles of beer. If I'd tried that one first, it would have been hard to switch away from it! They also offer flights, and even label the beers/ciders on the flight tray. In retrospect, that may have been the way to go, but since I didn't, I'll just have to go back someday. The bartenders also win points for being friendly and good at their job. I chatted with three of them while I was there and would be happy to run into any of them on a future visit. The building itself is also really nice, inside and out. It reminded me of BrewDog's brewery in Ohio, perfectly done up, views of the brewing area, nice long tables, even a gift shop area if I remember, a quality experience all around. I forgot to check if they have shuffleboard, and I don't think they have a hotel with beers on tap in the room, but it's currently in my top 5 list for breweries to visit based on the overall experience. read more

Cowbell Brewing - The outside of the building. Hard to miss it! - Breweries Near Me - Blyth, Ontario

Stopped here on our way to Tobermory. This is the first time we've been back to Canada since the pandemic started. We were asked for proof of vaccination when we arrived, which was awesome! I'm happy to see businesses taking Covid seriously! Definitely a welcome change from Ohio. Was also happy to see spacing still enforced with indoor tables! The beer cocktails were interesting and delicious! Got some wings, everything was great. Definitely will be coming back next time we're in the area! read more

We haven't even left the brewery yet and it's been such a great experience that we had to leave a review ASAP. Bonnie served us and we couldn't have had a better experience. If they don't name a beer after her, put a C on her uniform and give her a raise then we may consider changing this rating to 4 stars. Bonnie was friendly, hilarious and a phenomenal server. We will come back just to see Bonnie. And maybe have the beer and food... because they were also amazing. We would attach a photo except we inhaled it all so we can't. So we took a photo with Bonnie instead read more

Blows you away to discover this massive brew house in small town SW Ontario. Food and service were excellent and the samplers of brew of 4x4oz for $10 great. Caution servings are large. We split Margaretta pizza and large Caesar salad which could have served 3. read more

This is a truly amazing spot. It's absolutely beautiful and the beers are great. The Hubster and I stopped here on our way to Goderich. It was about 3pm on a Thursday, so it wasn't very busy. We sat out on the patio, which is mostly great, except for the breeze that sometimes travels in from nearby farms. I ordered the lamb burger without the goat cheese, and it was fabulous. Just a delicious mix of flavours. The Hubster got a pizza, which he said was a bit too dry. We ordered a flight of beers, which were all very different and quite good. We ended up buying a few of our favourites in the gift shop on the way out. This is a must-visit spot if you're in the area. read more

It's the mecca!!!! Everything they do is just that much better than anybody else. The grounds/building....better. The beer (especially the Boxing Bruin their IPA)...better. The food, the service, the retail.....better!!! Its worth the drive to Huron County. Theres 2 things I really like in life, golf and beer. I've been to Augusta National, and now I've been to Cowbell. And I'll be back. read more

Saturday in October , 18 family met and enjoyed Craft in house beers , wine from black horse in grand bend Royale pizza was great with thin sliced pickles Strange cream of carrot soup ? Oh well , Others enjoyed Caesar salad and more pizza varieties, and a great burger It was very busy but has grown a huge following and is probably only place in the county and along the highway Service was very good read more

The building is impressive inside and out which pains me all the more to have to write this review. The food, all around was bad. All 3 of us disliked our food. Two of us had hamburgers which were dry and overcooked. No flavor to the meat which was covered with a very strong sauce. Would rather have tasted the meat with less sauce. One person had the pork sandwich which they also thought was dry and over sauced. Jalapeno cornbread - needed a magnifying glass to see the jalapenos. Come one, my kids can do better than that. The portion sizes vs the price is what really annoyed us. Hamburgers and sandwiches were so small for the price charged. We will not be returning because of it. I have not felt as cheated in a long time at a restaurant as I did here. Spent so much money and got so little. Will not be returning. read more

The Good - Service was great. The brisket poutine was majestic. The beer was solid. The Bad - I was excited to see a wood burning pizza oven when I arrived. However, the pizza tastes like something out of the frozen aisle at Loblaws. The crust tasted like a cross between pizza crust and bagels. The sauce was way too sweet. The crust and sauce make a pizza and they need to go back to basics on both. read more

Beautiful building-impressive equipment. We did the self tour-and watched the video for added info about the brewing process...our appetizers were delicious we had the beer sampler-favorites were the Caesar cocktail and spinach pretzel app-I had the arugula prosciutto pizza-the arugula wasn't dressed and so it was very plain-a simple dressing would have completed the flavor profile. The featured local meats were very high quality-place is busy make a reservation read more

Very disappointed. Service was bad, food was bad, and flies were abysmal. My boyfriends steak was way undercooked for medium, he had it taken back and recooked and it was still undercooked. The service was incredibly slow for a very slow night and it was almost impossible to get their attention. I've been here before and everything was perfect, so I'm very surprised... read more

Kettle chip nachos were delicious. We had a couple beer flights that were very good also plus a knockout Caesar! Where they fell short was the service. We sat at the bar and the staff seemed like they'd rather be anywhere than there. Not a single smile. No chit chat at all. Very disappointing. read more

So easy to give a good review. The beer is obviously top notch. The portions are perfect, the food is delicious and mostly locally sourced, staff is always helpful. It's always spotless and I've never had to wait longer than expected for food, regardless of it always being busy (that's a good sign given how many tables there are). It lives up to expectations. Kelly's pizza or legit any burger on the menu is the way to go. Always give the specials a chance too. Often, it's them giving some of the cooks free reign to try something new, and it's usually phenomenal. read more

We have eaten here before and had a great experience. Today was just so so. The hostess who seated us was obviously not happy to be there. We were in early at 11:30 so it was pretty quiet and there were plenty of tables available. When we asked to look at another ta le it was apparent that she was not pleased. The beer was good as usual. My wife had the roasted red pepper noodle soup and she enjoyed it. She also had the bruschetta and it was almost inedibleI. It was mass amounts of tomatoes on bread and cream spread. The bread was soggy and she only ate half. To their credit they refunded half. I had the chicken and corn chowder and onion rings. It was pretty good. I still love the place but we would not order this again. read more

Very disappointed with this place. Terrible over priced food and the beer is over rated. I go to a ton of breweries and when traveling in this area I saw that this one popped up I was really excited to check it out. However the it really disappointed. They had a ton of staff but horrible service. Don't waste your time. I know I won't get mine back. read more

Wow! A hidden gem! Very excellent concept beautifully executed! Sustainable plant facilities, great craft beer and interesting menu. We tried 4 craft beers and loved them all, and I am not a beer drinker! Very friendly and helpful staff, well versed on the brewing process and their unique sustainability practices. Beautiful and comfortable decor. Highly recommend! Americans, come to Ontario and enjoy civility again! read more

We have eaten here around a dozen times over the past 3 years. First, don't even think of eating here any night of the week in the summer without a reservation (which you need to make at least 1 or 2 weeks in advance). The place is crazy popular, but I think that is due largely to the great atmosphere (beautiful building inside and out), the excellent beer selection and the Blythe festival (when it is running). Unfortunately, the food is overpriced and often mediocre. The service is also almost always extremely slow - expect to wait at least an hour between the time you sit down and the arrival of any food at your table. That said, we will continue to eat here as the kids like it and the beer and atmosphere makes up for the other shortcomings - and there really isn't a lot else to choose from in the area. read more

Myself and 7 other guy rode our motorcycles up to the cowbell from Strathroy last night. They seated us where we requested not to be seated when we made the reservations. We told them and they moved us to another table away from the garbage bin, flies, and air conditioner. The girls moved umbrellas around to try and keeps us in the shade. Everyone that waited on us were very pleasant and accommodating. The beer was cold and the food was good. They need to bring back the nachos which were deleted from the menu. The place is beautiful and we enjoyed our ride up in the Huron countryside. I'm sure we will be back again sometime soon. Hopefully the COVID 19 will be behind us soon and we can dine in the absolutely beautiful building. read more

Absolutely amazing great food and awesome craft beer. Such a simple idea get them in with food and serve them with your great craft beer.

We wanted to go there since there is so much hype about it. It is a good beer place since they brew so many different types and you can make your own flights. The food selection is also good ranging from salads, pizza to burgers and steaks. It is slightly on the expensive side though. read more

Amazing looking place. We made reservations on Monday and arrived early, they were very accommodating and seated us early. I don't know if our waitress had to adjust her schedule but she was very unpleasant, she never smiled and answered with basically a stare. The trout appetizer was very fishy and I should have told her about it but didn't want to deal with her and the burger was dry. I see others have had a great experience. I'm disappointed ours was not good. Maybe it's a hit or miss place read more

Asked for vaccine proof! Awesome. All staff vaccinated! Awesome. Atmosphere. Awesome! Beer- Awesome! Food----meh. Husband went home hungry. Burger - Just not a big enough serving. It was a really small burger. Almost like a slider or half a burger. Not enough fries. Kinda of a fancy serving on a wooden platter but over half of it was empty. Truffle fries weren't crisp. Soft and limp with very little truffle flavouring. The dipping sauce was delicious but we felt like We were eating grocery frozen fries. Pizza-kinda soggy. Feeds 2 but you would need something on the side. Sweet potato fries- delicious but never enough! Served in a fancy basket...would like to see just a bigger pile on a plate to be honest. Dessert-peanut butter pie had funny taste. Texture good but off. So would love to see the food and servings improved. Found the menu is really limited. It could be great if menu, food and servings were improved. Probably won't go back for a while to see if any changes have been made to food but will continue to buy their beer. It's excellent. read more

Great restaurant. Many food and drink options. French fries and veggie tacos were delicious as was the Good Time beer and bourbon cocktail. The tacos were a delicious slaw salad inside a corn tortilla. The fries were fresh-cut russets and freshly fried to perfection. Service a little slow but it was the middle of the afternoon. Will be back to try the veggie curry and the falafel burger! read more
