I was already set with pastries from next door so I ordered my decaf coffee here. I was impressed that they make decaf from scratch, always, Americano-style. It was piping hot, fresh and delicious. I chatted with the staff about the food selection and baked goods. Everything is made on the premises, by the owner and staff. I'm a bakery fan and their selections looked both beautiful and tasty. My husband and I will be back for a stay in Kincardine and The Daily Grind will surely be our go-to place to relax.

I stopped in for a tea, and was pleased to be offered a loose-leaf cream earl grey. The cranberry and pistachio biscotti was very fresh and a perfect pair for the tea... So yummy. I should note, I never ask for soy milk in small towns (was laughed at one too many times in the past), but a gentleman that came in after me (looked even more "out of town" than I did ;) asked for it... And the women serving, proudly announced she did have soy milk. Impressive. Wish I had some friends up here (hehe) - this place seems like a perfect Saturday night venue to grab a glass of wine and listen to live music :)

The Perked Pierogi seemed to be the only thing worth checking out, plus it was the only place open early in the morning. They also sell them to take home to cook yourself. I was SUPER impressed with the ice coffee. It's like they got the portions just right. It wasn't too bitter or too sweet. Also, maybe it was the type of coffee they use. It was so good. They also have almond milk, which is the only way I'll take my ice coffee. I was dancing my happy dance with the first sip. Ok, as you can see from my pics, the pierogis look BOMB AF. Luckily they ALSO taste, bomb af. You only get four but these things are huge. Each one took me 3 bites, but that's me lol. I cut them all up to let the heat out so I wouldn't burn my mouth BUT, I soon realized that I didn't have to do that. They were somehow THE perfect temperature. I was so happy and impressed I didn't have to wait or blow on them before devouring lol. Anyways, they're super quality and fresh. Even the bacon on top. The pierogis were cooked to perfection. A nice little pan sear but still soft. The sour cream was the perfect addition to each bite of pierogi, bacon and onions. Oh man, these are some of the best, maybe the best, I have ever had!
