A lady in this cafe didn't even say hi when I entered and didn't say thanks or bye either when I left there. Very unkind.

Our first trip back to the Bruce Peninsula following COVID and couldn't wait to return to TruFood…read moreCafe. It was as delicious, beautiful, cozy and friendly as we remembered. First, we really like the owner and her staff. Warm, friendly and helpful group of women who seem to love what they do and enjoy interacting with people. We had a breakfast and lunch, finding it difficult to make final selections because everything looked and smelled so good. Their egg bagel sandwiches were the perfect blend of crunchy, savory and filling. We also had the grilled cheese and the tuna melt paninis. So filling and satisfying. So glad we decided to add smoothies after a morning of birding. We were really hungry and they were both really pretty, nutritious and yummy. My husband had the Berry-protein smoothie and I had the green foods smoothie. Everything we expected. On each visit, we also leave with some fresh baked treats. TruFoods has a nice selection of healthy treats and treats tailored for special diets like gluten free or vegetarian. There is ample sitting room with lots of nice art and local merchandise to explore. We brought our reading material and relaxed for an hour. Guests were steady but the cafe was never too busy. Kids and seniors alike would feel right at home. The cafe sits alone on the highway between Lions Head and Tobermory. It is worth the trip.

I really enjoyed the experience here, when I visited earlier this autumn. Went here, intrigued by…read morethe used book store and cafe concept. Ordered lunch and had a short browse in their shop. Lots to see. My friends and I took to their patio which is located down by the creek. On the day we went it was sunny and warm, perfect for an outdoor meal. I love birds and there are plenty around, and pretty feeders to entice. My friends ordered burgers and fries. The fries portion sizes are huge here. Its likely best to share if you go with someone or order an extra small fry. Their burgers looked amazing! I dont eat beef, yet they were deluxe patties with cheese, bacon tomato and lettuce, plus mayo and ketchup. I ordered the avocado wrap and their house salad. It was so large and so tasty. The pickles which, came with, were quality pickles and to die for. I absolutely loved how quaint it was inside. It used to be the actual flour mill of Williamsford. Fully operational. As this was back in September I dont recall all the dates the man shared. However, when him and his partner took it over they did some renos in order to bring it up to code. When our order was ready, they brought it down to us on the patio. HEAVY plates and it was quite a distance to walk to deliver the food to us. I met them up the hill to help out. Upon ordering my coffee I was interested in their milk alternatives and the lovely man took his time displaying options for me and offering up samples of the "milks" so that I was pleased with my decision. In spite of customers waiting behind me. I was a little uneasy to have so many ppl behind me so I allowed them to be taken care of before I completed my coffee order. Really, really top notch, friendly, informative and pleasant owners. We had our lunch late and they were closing soon, yet they even stayed open to allow further time for us to all explore the varied books they have. While they cleaned and did the dishes. I would definitely return sometime again in the future. And it is well recommended!

Awesome spot to stop in for lunch, relax and check out a book or two! The food is outstanding!…read moreLove the concept of ordering at the counter and waiting for delivery at your table. Reminds me of Pubs in the UK! This is a gem!
