We had a really great time here. The service and food were really awesome. Definitely recommend checking this place out. They were only seating people outside when we arrived. One thing that was kind of annoying was that there were bees flying around, but there were incense sticks on all the tables that helped keep them away. Lots of seating was available, but at some point all the seats were full. It was a Saturday afternoon, not sure if they take reservations. We had a large party of 10, and Belle took awesome care of our table. She was super patient with all of our requests and just really nice/kind. I ordered the Barbie Margarita which was so yummy and super cute. Other people ordered the peach Bellini and liked it. They also had various beers on tap. We also ordered a few appetizers that were all delicious. These were the loaded bagel skins, jalapeño, bacon cheese bread and bruschetta. read more

Quaint pub with friendly service. The food menu was a bit limited, but we ordered the large pulled pork nachos, and they arrived in abundance. The nachos were delicious and came with a jam that elevated the entire flavor! The dessert menu also looked delicious, but we were so filled on nachos we didn't have room to try any. Spent the afternoon at Hawgs Breath and thoroughly enjoyed my time in the covered back patio. Staff were attentive and brought free munchies to the table. Extensive and great Ontario craft centric beer selection. Everything our table ate was tasty. They must have a unique kitchen, as they clearly don't have a fryer and some other obvious (for a place like this) dishes were missing, but with so much on offer and everything being so tasty you don't miss out. We had a trio of hot sandwiches (all good) and Caesar salad. My child had the kids nachos. Everything was a hit. read more

I have a personal relationship with many employees here, so slight bias ahead. I love this place. I'll take cons first then the pros. Cons: Wow this bar is small. If you have a group of 4 or more you can seriously struggle to find a seat even on a regular day. They close when they feel like it. Sometimes they close at 2am. Sometimes they close at 9pm. It is completely random it just depends how they feel. The bartenders mean well, but are really sexist. On three separate occasions I have attended the Hawgs Breath with a friend who happens to be female, and each time they have physically and verbally insisted on me paying for the ONE bill, despite both her and I asking the bill to be split. Twice with the same woman and once with another, both of whom were just work friends grabbing lunch together. Pros: Dear lord the food is amazing. Try the nachos, no one does it better - just ask for the sauces on the side. They have a wide variety of drinks available, and are one of the few restaurants in town that try our new and wacky drinks. Particularly in the summer of 2017 they kept a rotation of unique, festival style drinks rolling on a chalkboard menu - it was a lot of fun as there was always something new. Family owned and operated business. The Doerrs have built this restaurant / bar from nothing into a very well known and respected establishment. Despite my complaints it does remain one of my favourite places to go in Kincardine. read more

It was good, but nothing special. I had the chicken club and I probably wouldn't order it again. The side soup was good though. My mom had the special of the day which was a pulled pork sandwich, she enjoyed it. Maybe my expectations were too high because of all the great reviews I read or maybe it was just an off day, not sure. Would probably give it another shot. read more

Let's start with the friendly staff. Greetings was great and pleasant. Settings were very cozy and comfortable. The menu is on a big board written in Florescent green and pink. The entire restaurant is in a cherry red like a Russian state room.. Kristen Is our server and she is awesome . Ok food just came. ...wait for it . Oh my. The pulled pork and the shaved smoke beef are too die for yum. . Well done HAWGS BREATH, well done. Ok so I had to do the dessert. We stopped in for lunch on a business trip to the area. We ordered a number of sandwiches which also come with a choice of a soup or salad. The potato bacon leek soup was really good and salted well. No additional salt was needed. The chicken Thai soup was also good and spicy. Three of us ordered the shaved smoked beef brisket sandwich which came loaded with meat and cheese with horseradish on the side. The meat had a good smoky flavor. The establishment also has a full bar with lots of beers on draft. Do be warned that the iced tea is super sweet! Also, there is limited area to sit at tables, so you may experience a short wait at peak times. I would recommend Hawgs Breath if you are in Kincardine for a great sandwich and drink! read more

I've eaten here several times and it has the best lunches in Kincardine. The menu doesn't change but there is ample choices for soup, sandwiches and salads. The pub gets very busy and the sound is loud and echoes. Other than that it's one of the best spots for food and beers in the area. read more

OMG, the food here is terrific and it all comes out of a tiny work space at the end of the bar. The soups are different every day and my fav is the Thai Chicken. Has a kick to it but very eatable. Salads are huge snd very fresh greens. Sandwiches run from the standards to some very creative ones. Big enough to share. Menu is just on one chalk board which is hard to read unless you stand right in front of it. You can't really spend much time pondering your choices. Soups, salads and sands are all you get but well worth a try. Even the bread you can get with the soup is delicious! read more

Good choice in Kilcadine. Soups were great and our sandwiches werepretty good (I just Don't like a lot ofCheese.). I do think it is weird that they won't give you a shot glass of beer to try one of their beers on tap since so many of them weren't familiar to me. Great place! Went based on Yelp reviews. A bit dark, but family friendly. Not loud and busy at noon for lunch. They didn't give us a menu, and had to read the menu off a large board. Dropped in on a wet, rainy afternoon while visiting Kincardine as it was the most rated spot in town and centrally located. It was busy and loud and two patrons kindly offered to share their table for four with us as there was no other seating available. We had prompt service but unfortunately with no printed menus I found it a bit frustrating to not know what all the drink options were before ordering (I had a mill street organic as it was the only thing that came to mind in the moment). Their food menu was on the wall and seemed to be mostly sandwiches with two or three soups and two salad choices ( might be more but that's all I could see). I had a caesar salad and red pepper soup and my companion had a chicken sandwich with a chicken thai soup. Both meals were pretty good and we both enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere was fun and lively so I can understand why this is a popular spot. If you want a decent sandwich/soup combo for lunch, I would recommend it. read more

Had a late lunch here today. The brisket sandwich was the best I've ever had. Beef was melt-in-your-mouth juicy, tender and smokey. Melted cheese, sauteed mushrooms and raw red onion nestled together on the fresh-from-the-oven baguette. I used the horseradish that was served with the sandwich. Absolutely wonderful. I choose a garden salad as my side. I expected the usual iceberg lettuce ho-hum salad but instead received a beautiful, fresh, crisp, clean but not wet salad of mixed greens including various sprouts, cucumber, peppers and tomato. Topped with a pinch of tasty feta. I asked for balsamic dressing and they brought three varieties. The one I chose was a local variety from Southampton Olive Oil company. It was magical accompaniment for the fabulous salad and scrumptious sandwich. To top it off, the plate also had a slice of what tasted like homemade dill pickle. I managed to clean my plate and have just enough room for a terrific homemade maple walnut tart. I could taste the buttery pastry and sweet maple syrup in the filling. This place is a must when visiting Kincardine. Can't wait to take my girls here for dinner or lunch one day soon. read more
