Was in the area and decided to stop by Kincardine for the street market on Queen street and heard about this restaurant from a friend and stopped in for lunch. Opened 8 months ago. Nice atmosphere with ample seating inside and outside. Social distancing of tables and masks precautions are observed. Staff are super friendly and helpful offering suggestions for sides and drinks. We ordered the grilled cheese with onion rings, vegetable wrap with sweet potato fries and an Arnold Palmer drink. Grilled cheese: the cheese with the caramelized onions is so good. Onion Rings: Crispy, light batter, delicious. Vegetable wrap: burst of flavour, not dry, so savory. Sweet Potato Fries: love sweet potato fries and these were great. With the dip it's a bit saltier than I am used to so I just enjoyed it on its own. Arnold Palmer: refreshing and not too sweet If you are in town, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Great food and awesome, friendly service! Large outdoor patio with umbrellas. Food was great as well as location. Great selection with many vegetarian options such as my portobello mushroom burger. They are one of the few places open on Monday.

Amazing in-house beer & cider selection on tap, great atmosphere, and so cool that you get to walk around inside to see the brewery process. Definitely check out their weekday specials. $20 is such a value for a meal and 20oz pint of beer (or if you don't drink, you can get just the food special for $18). Do stop by their merch store too - they've got canned drinks and other Cowbell products !

It's a beautiful large building! Well kept and clean! Our server, Jessie, did a great job informing us of the menu and specials. She was professional and personable! We ordered pretzel bites as an appetizer and adult beverages. I ordered their IPA. The pretzel bites were kind of chewy and the mustard sauce was in between. Not sure exactly what they were trying to do with it. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't too hot. I really was not impressed that much with the IPA, I ordered another just to make sure, same results. My wife's Buffalo ranch pizza was large and well appointed; however, we just weren't sure about the flavors. My fish and chips was huge! I really enjoyed the fish! Must say the coleslaw left me scratching my head and the french fries were lacking something. Again, Jesse did a great job, she was the highlight of her visit!

Tried her fries - they were crisp, but completely unseasoned. I ordered their standard burger with home fries. The home fries were dripping in grease, the burger was bland - no flavour, greasy, over cooked (they didn't even ask how I wanted it cooked to be fair), one piece of bacon crisp, the other raw. I mean...I ate half of it because I was starving, but when the best thing about your burger is the ketchup, you need to rethink either your meat or seasoning. I think what bothered me the most about this place? I left them with a plate over half full of food and the waitress didn't even ask if I enjoyed the meal -- that should be a no-brainer.

There was nothing nothing to worry about. We were served and had cold beer in front of us before we could decide on dinner. The Reuben Sandwich was to die for. The fresh cut fries were hot and perfectly cooked. The gravy was one of the best I have ever had. Our server Megan was very attentive, friendly, and helpful even though she was running off of her feet. I will go back as soon as possible.

We had a great experience here this evening! Tess is an amazing server: very attentive and…read moreinformative. Great at making suggestions and answering questions re. the menu. The beer flight was excellent as was the margarita. The only downside to this restaurant is the wine menu. We were both having chicken and seafood, but defaulted to the only wine on the menu that got a decent rating from Vivino, and it was a red. Meh. We're neither of us stuck on if it's a fish or poultry dish you must have white and our bottle of red was a good wine so we enjoyed it. We started with the falafels with hummus and the Caesar salad. Both were very good. I opted for the chicken schnitzel and he went for the lake trout. The chicken schnitzel with spinach spaetzle was very good indeed. I ended up requesting some lemon to squeeze on the schnitzel because I found the herb butter was a tad too much like the spaetzle. Not a criticism per se, I just felt that the lemon juice added a bit of extra zest that I personally liked. The trout was also very good, except for the tomato sauce base - he felt that did not add to the dish. Nothing wrong with the sauce, just not necessary. Mudtown Station was recommended by friends who'd been here a few years ago. I know it's undergone some changes since then, but I thought the recent poor reviews were a shame. They almost put me off. But truly, this restaurant is trying hard to get back to its former glory and I'd say they're now there. The menu is creative and out of the ordinary, the atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant and the food is very good - and this review is coming from a foodie who's eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants and at least 4 that were in the list of top 100 in the world, including number one. Mudtown Station deserves a visit. I'd give it a 4.5 if that was an option.

When we arrived at 6:00 p.m., the restaurant wasn't very busy. We ordered the Curry Chicken Flatbread, which was an interesting combination and surprisingly tasty. The signature burger was underwhelming and quite small. The trout was tender and flavourful. The service was just okay. Some dishes come with a choice of side, but we weren't told that certain options carried an extra charge until we received the bill. The server even mentioned that she had accidentally undercharged us, so we ended up paying more than we expected. The pricing wasn't clearly explained, which could easily catch travellers off guard.
