(top to bottom) Buffalo Butter wings, fries, haddock filet (yes that's 1 cut in half).

Great pub just steps from the beach. We went on a Monday afternoon when all other places in the area were closed, so we were able to get seated right away. Our server was also very attentive and friendly. We went here because we were craving Fish & Chips and unfortunately, they were sold out of halibut which is my personal go-to. But not to worry, I opted for haddock instead. Crab Cakes - Absolutely delicious with a nice slight tang. They also use fresh crab meat. I had friends who were in the area a week after and I had recommended this place. They too loved the crab cakes. 5/5. Chicken Wings - My friend ordered the Buffalo Butter sauce which was so so good. Very different from your usual sauces. Wings were also perfectly fried. 5/5. Fish & Chips - They were sold out of halibut so we opted for haddock. It was a generous portion and the batter to fish ratio wasn't bad at all. Although their chips/fries were good (they were like Costco fries), to me it didn't mesh as well as it would've if they had fresh cut fries. That's honestly a pretty big miss for me. 4/5. I'd still recommend this place to anyone in the area. It may very well be a stop whenever in the area. Hopefully by my next visit, they'll have fresh cut fries.

Some of the freshest fish and chips I have ever had, fell in love with the service, and the food. I'm very much looking forward to my next meal at Duffy's

Two piece cod and fries are perfect every time. This is by far my favourite fish and chip restaurant in all of Ontario.

They have done a nice job sprucing things up a bit and revamping the kitchen. Hope to see the red carpet in the dining room go at some point. A bit under staffed as they get on their feet a lot of work for one person at front of house to manage, quite a long wait for walk ins due to covid restrictions on the dining room. Definitely call ahead for a reservation. Staff was friendly and polite took our order correctly. Our meals where pretty good! We got two orders of the Fisherman's platter. One with fries and one with a Ceasar salad. Breading on the fish was light the halibut was a nice large piece! Cooked perfectly nice and flakey not greasy at all. The scallops and shrimp where cooked well too. Chips where fresh and light. The Ceasar salad was not worth the 3.50$ dollars for the upgrade. They just tossed two strips of bacon with it. No croutons, red onion or even parmasean. Was also dissapointed that they didn't do a home made tartar sauce and also no lemon provided with the fish. At first I was excited to see the paper in the take out bag! Then realized they wrapped the take out box in paper. Hopefully they will cut back on the waste and just wrap the fish in that beautiful paper moving forward. Would really love to see this place stick to fish and chips and sea food options and perfect their sides. Would love to see more fish and seafood meals and stay away from the burgers etc and really specialize on the seafood. There's plenty of wing and burger family restaurants and I think they could really make a go of it if they keep it simple, fresh and refined! Found it a bit pricey but overall enjoyed out meals great piece of fish! This cost us 70$ with tax.

Coming from Markham/Toronto area for a mini trip to Owen Sound, we found this place via google maps…read moreand decided to give it a shot since it had good ratings. I don't usually have a lot of fish and chips, let alone, tried many places so please take that into consideration when reading this review :) I spoke with Tim & Jesse over the phone and they were really friendly and accommodating! They don't usually take reservations ahead of the date but rather, they take it day of. However, since we were coming out of town, Tim made an exception for us! Thanks a bunch Tim! :D We ordered the Atlantic Cod and Deep Fried Mac and Cheese. Both were really tasty! I found the Deep Fried Mac and Cheese especially addictive (since they were in cute triangle bite-sized pieces, crispy on the outside and still cheesy and creamy on the inside) before we left to return to Toronto, we grabbed one for the road! We also tried the mozzarella sticks which were awesome when you had them freshly made and the cheesy-ness and stretchy-ness just added to the experience! And no, frozen versions from the supermarkets aren't the same DUH! It will definitely be a place I will go to whenever I visit Owen Sound and I highly recommend all to try this place out! They also have another location in Meaford just east of Owen Sound. P.S. I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the most IMPORTANT thing! THE MENU! Sorry guys!

The cod and halibut was good but they had Alaskan white fish which I thought was amazing. This is the only place that I know can get this fish. This is a must try. The prices are reasonable. The chips and the sweet potato fries were really good too. We also ordered the shrimp platter. It presented well but nothing special. They ran out of the crab cakes so we will try that another time. Will definitely come back for the Alaskan white fish.

We were directed to this food truck when we checked into our hotel in Tobermory…read more It was a great find! The fish was fresh, the breading was tasty and the homemade tartar sauce was awesome. The chips were amazing as well. If this was down the road from my home, I'm sure I'd be there every week. Just a note, it is not hard miss. If headed towards Tobermory, it will be on your right shortly before you get to any of the entrances to Bruce Peninsula National Park. If headed from town, you will pass both the Cypress Lake entrances and the one just south of there (don't remember the name). Look for the Lonewolf Drive Thru sign Fish is served from around 11:30 with the last order taken at 7:30.

It took 30 minutes for them to call our number. Granted, they were pretty busy... But 30 minutes for 2 orders of fries is a little crazy. My fries were good (although not 30 minutes good) but could have been a little warmer. The person I was with said their poutine was good. I don't eat meat so this review is based solely on the fries and service. I'd still recommend checking it out for yourself! OH and the address here on Yelp didn't take us to the chip wagon. We had to continue driving until we saw it on the left hand side (leaving tobermory) which was about 7km.

The inside of the restaurant is also nice with historical touches to it. The building is very beautiful and you can learn all about the Shirley of the building and family in the menu. Unfortunately the food is mediocre, verging on bad. We've tried this place 3 times to give it a fair shot as we really wanted to like it but I don't think we will return. - pasta : over sauced; the pasta I had with balls of cheese was warm with cold balls of cheese. Kids has jarred tomatoe sauce on pasta. - fish and chips- if you're looking for that nice light crunch with a crispy light coating- don't go here. It was soggy, and meh; coleslaw tasteless; fries on the verge of burnt. How you get fries wrong, who knows. - beef wrap - very saucy inside, - chicken curry - very salty, tasted like it was from a jar; the rice was underdone, I don't know how it's possible to not cook rice properly in a restaurant but this place did it. Coriander garnish was wilted and old, why bother even putting it on? Naan bread very crispy on one side. - ceaser drink was ok. Basic. - hamburger - tasted fine. Again, I think the service was friendly and the restaurant is nice but they dropped the ball on the food and are likely capitalizing on the history of the building rather than the food.
