Because they only take rezos for 8 people or more and we were one short, we decided to go and wait. They hand you an electronic beeper to let you know when your table is ready. We waited from 6-6:30pm on a Saturday to get a table. Seemed long but there is a nice kiddie playground and tables and chairs to sit on inside and out. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait! The food is all homemade and soulfully good. They offer discounts to seniors starting at 60 so that was awesome. The food highlights: If you could just eat a plate of their baked back ribs, do just that! These ribs were sweet'n sour and sooooo tender, fall off the bone good. The sauce was more tomato based and I was stuffed but had to go back for more. The bread rolls are soft and fresh. Even the humble meat loaf was delicious. Don't forget to grab a piece of the fried chicken that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Tastes better than KFC! Breaded fried fish is also a must have with a side of crispy coated fries. The homemade sausages are fairly lean and very dense so if you want to try, maybe have a half one to start. The dessert bar--they have their own soft-serve machine with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Serve yourself either in a bowl, on a wafer cone OR on a plate of any pie or dessert of your desire! *falls off chair The desserts are delightful and you can add an extra shot of whipped cream if you wish. Even if you're full, you have to make room for dessert. Overall, this place is far but if you happen to be close enough, it is definitely worth the drive over.

Went to celebrate mom's birthday lunch and the food and service was fantastic. Especially good was the broasted chicken.

Really well done homemade food. Buffet is kept well stocked, though I missed out on the fried chicken. Maybe next time. Fudge is amazing.

We tried the pecan pie and cheese cake -- we loved them both (I liked the latter the best).

(I teetered on losing a star for that, but the food is pretty decent so decided against it.) The crab wontons are my favourite, filled with cream cheese, green onion and sweet crab meat. The buffet has an assortment of hot and fresh items and is consistently refilled. I especially like the onion fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, sesame chicken/pork, cashew chicken, beef with broccoli, and shrimp lo mein. Good place for kids too, as they have onion rings and some basic Chinese staples. They have a small salad bar as well with 2 soup options. Standard desert bar with 4 ice cream flavours to choose from. Tip! Takeout is a great value. They give you containers you fill yourself. One large styrofoam container and one soup container.

We had come here on a Saturday at around 7:00 pm for the Italian Buffet Special, which was being…read moreadvertised as $12.95 a person. When we had first arrived, we were told that it would be a two-hour wait, and that we would need to have a pager with us at all times that would be used to notify us once a table was ready. We weren't able to get a pager immediately as they were all being used therefore, we had to wait at least fifteen minutes before we were able to get one. Once we had that pager in hand, we waited about one hour for our table, which was actually not as long as we had expected. Upon entering the restaurant via an escalator from the first floor, we were pleased to see how picturesque it was. With the large windows showcasing the horse racing at the time, along with the tables that boasted their own private television screens, we were impressed with how wonderful and inviting everything looked. Upon being seated, we were given programs on the betting available for the evening's races, which was detailed with everything we needed to know. We also noticed that there was a middle-aged woman coming around, asking us if we were interested in placing bets during our dining experience. The diners went wild during the races, which created an exciting, yet sometimes, loud atmosphere. In terms of the dining, I was pleasantly surprised with how many options were available. Since it was only $12.95 (with a Winners Circle Card), I was blown away at how much food was placed within the buffet area, with an area dedicated to bread with a variety of spreads, another area with salads and other cold appetizers (such as artichokes, cold cuts, cheese, etc.), a hot table (with such items as lasagna, pizza, chicken, fish, and more), along with a dessert section, which boasted a wide variety of desserts, and a few dishes of fruit. All of the items were well-prepared, and everything tasted fantastic, with each item at the hot table coming onto my plate hot (temperature-wise), which is rare to find in a buffet. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at this buffet, and would highly-recommend it to anyone who wants delicious food, at a low price. The only thing that I didn't like was the waiting period, and how slow it was, considering that many guests usually sit there the entire evening, watching the races and eating for hours on end. Although this is definitely the idea of the trackside buffet, it could have been the reason why we were so delayed in getting to our table. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait, and will definitely be going again!

There was a pretty big variety of dishes: many Caribbean classics but also some rarer ones. Service was not great - they took a while before asking what I wanted to drink. The food was largely delicious, though nothing was labelled so I wasn't sure what many dishes were. The dishes nearer the entrance were better; e.g. fried chicken & spicy chicken. Split pea soup & peanut porridge/soup (if it was porridge it was too thin) were pretty good. At the back, the goat was pretty bony & not so tasty, the rasta pasta & fried vermicelli were ok & the curry vegetables were so so. The buffet was $21.99 plus tax, a 50% price hike from what is presumably 2020's price on the website. It was also rung up as 2 ackee and saltfish because they hadn't updated their system yet, which was rather odd.

The chicken is served on a bed of rice and peas with coleslaw (yumm!) and chicken. I found the jerk chicken was delicious and super flavourful. The stew chicken was drier than the jerk chicken but it was still good. I also believe they put butter in their rice - the rice tastes almost... cheesy? And for my lactose sensitive friends, you might also feel it in your gut! But still an enjoyable dish!
