I used to come here all the time with my dogs. If the main guy isn't there you do not get a good service. Period. He's not there on Sundays which is my main day off. So I have not had a pleasant experience for several Sunday attempts. And again if he's there you are fine. They have cut my dogs badly, when I say cut badly I mean both the cut was just not even at all and just strange, and they physically cut one of my dogs. To the point where he obsessively licked the same spot for months. It was near impossible to get him to stop. Cones, sprays, everything. Nothing worked. Sometimes I take the dogs in for just a bath. Yet somehow I get them back and they don't smell any cleaner. One dog gets that annoying crud in his face, sometimes it rubs down into the fur but goes away when you just give him a bath and I will see no change to it when I take him there. They don't use the puppy perfume they have when the main guy isn't there. There is no reason my dog should be smelly by the time I get home. I live 10 minutes away. Usually when they properly give them a bath and use the perfume they smell like it for a week and their fur feels amazing. But we don't seem to get that anymore. Another dog is just a puppy. Now the main guy said yea bring her in so she can get used to us, yet his staff just give up if she seems a little nippy. She has never bit anyone aggressively... she's just a puppy. Her bites don't even hurt. She will do a light bite at your hand if you do something she doesn't like, followed by some licking. She's a lover not a fighter. So I spent money and wasted time for them to give up when she was a little uncomfortable. My last trip was around 100 bucks and I feel like nothing at all were done to my dogs. I'm just gonna do it myself now. I'm tired of politely letting the guy know his employees ripped me off. And I do feel bad, I do feel like they work hard... just get some epic breaks on Sundays apparently. read more

This place is terrible!!! Completely unacceptable. I have never been disrespected and spoken to so poorly by a business owner, especially a place where I'm supposed to feel comfortable leaving my pet for a short period of time. What happened: We booked 2 appts online on 9/14/18 for our pet on 9/21/18. 1 for a FURminator at 10:30am & 1 for a haircut service at 2:10pm, we called to verify for both bc online it says to "book a separate appt for a haircut" which we did because the FURminator does not include a haircut. So that was fine with us. 9/21/18 I went in at 10:30am to drop my baby off & when I told the lady that she has another appt at 2:10pm she said she would try & move her appt up & would let me know if she could get her in earlier. By 3pm I called to get her status, there was no answer & the answering service said to text them with any q's for a faster response (which I thought was odd because answering the phone is faster then texting, but I wasn't judging, perhaps they're short handed or busy and it's easier for them) I received a text back stating it would be another 3 to 3.5 hours after her 2:10 appt. I replied with she's been there since 10:30am why wasn't I informed when she was finished w/the 1st appt? He then called me & explained that she hadn't had her haircut yet. After speaking to him, going back & forth about why I wasn't called after her bath/FURminator so she could eat and not sit there ALL day, he said that this has never happened before, I was wrong and it was my fault because I booked the appts. Let me restate that I wanted to know why I wasn't CONTACTED after she was done with her bath, NOT that I was upset about having 2 appts, bc I wasn't mad about that at all. I booked those & received confirmation of BOTH appts, so yes I knew that there was 2 appts for 2 different services. I just didn't want my baby to sit there ALL day without food! After all this drama with him, I then looked at our appts online, they cancelled the 10:30am appt (1st appt) at 10:42am!! After I had dropped her off at 10:30am, but I WAS NEVER TOLD OR INFORMED! Why did they cancel it? So my husband & I went there to pick her up AFTER 3pm, which I'm so glad we did, she was still damp, hadn't been brushed AND it was an hour after her SECOND appt was suppose to have started. He AGAIN said this has never happened before, that it was our fault, we were just trying to get a free service! I most certainly was NOT trying to get anything free. Heck, I even tried to make him feel like he was right and I booked 2 appts incorrectly (even though they were for 2 different services and their website instructs you to do so, but I wanted to see if his demeanor would change). I asked if that was the case, then why didn't they contact me and then he could open up the other slot for another customer? Personally I think that would be a smart business decision. They have a printed list of appts at their front desk, my fur baby was on that list twice for 2 different services. So why didn't he look over the appts previously? That's not very business savvy. He either wasn't understanding what happened or refused to take responsibility for the mix up, ignored what I said & he kept repeating that this has never happened before (btw it doesn't matter how many times someone says "this has never happened before", it should be an opportunity for the owner to try and find a solution) after all, shouldn't customer service be a priority? Instead, the owner's arrogance was the priority. My husband told him we were going to call the Better Business Bureau. He called me a punk, said he was going to call the Sheriff's department, I told him to go ahead and call them! He then became defensive and kept saying we were wrong and that this has never happened before, said that all we wanted was free stuff, I then said I would pay and he started walking to the back, then told us to leave and get out, at this point I was completely stunned on how unprofessional he handled himself. If all I wanted was a free bath service then why did I book two separate services? She should have been done with the first service (a bath) way earlier and I would have picked her up and paid for that then. However, no one told me she was done, so I thought she was getting her second service (haircut), not sitting there all day. I just can't believe this whole situation. I can now see why some of the reviews seem too good to be true. I do not suggest going here at all, there are plenty of other groomers that are more responsible and respectful towards their clients. Plus, I'm sure they would be more than willing to have our business, money, and treat our fur baby better. read more

Brought my Berner in for a bath, and they did great. He's 100lbs of puppy energy, so it's not always easy to find a groomer who is comfortable with dogs that size, but these folks handled him perfectly, and he didn't seem at all stressed or anxious. They called to let me know that he had some fur matted up behind his ears, and did a beautiful job of trimming that and his paws. Love this place! Very friendly and always helping you out the best they can! My dog looks great when I pick him up plus they offer many services and products within the store. I really feel like they care for my dog on top of him being blind. To top it off they're very affordable! and often have coupons you can use as well as a point service where you can add up points for money off services or even free products! I've been going here for the past year or so and have never had any problems with the staff. They always call about 15-20 mins before my dog is ready for pick up which gives me a good amount of time to be on time to pick him up! I would recommend this place to anyway with a dog. read more

Recently moved to the area and decided to give Riverview grooming a try. My boyfriend dropped our dog off and I picked her up. I took her rabies/shot records and they stated they did not need them which doesn't sit well with me. There may be dogs who are not vaccinated and it's unsafe. My dog came home and went straight to her kennel refuses to come out she does not want to interact with anyone and not being herself. Not sure what they did to her there, but she loves going to the groomer and has never had any issues. And if that isn't bad enough, it seems as if they skipped the bath, bought some disgusting cologne from the botanic store next door and but poured in the center of her back. Her head and everywhere else smells like they did not bath her. Extremely disappointed and will not be taking my dog there ever again. Worst experience ever ! I called on Monday and they told me that I could come in Friday June 17th between 9-10 and I specifically said haircut. I walked in and no one knew I was coming and no one would help me. They said the earliest would be a week from Friday and she would call me if someone cancelled. Then never told me times for Friday. She said possibly a bath but then another lazy employee walked out and said that my dog would get even more matted if They washes it. Hmmm I give the dog baths all the time with his hair long and that doesn't happen. These people are lazy and have no customer service. And could careless about dogs. Maybe because I'm from up north where people aren't lazy. I work in the service industry and I go above and beyond for my guests even if there is a miscommunication with someone NOT BOOKING someone and having the guest drive over anyway. Today is the second time I brought my Maltese in to this groomer. They did a good job the first time, but they did a horrible job this time. They butched her this time and she looks awful. I am embarrassed to take her out in public. She looks nothing like the first grooming they did. they said that my husband told them to give her a summer cut. My husband does not know the difference in any cut let alone would he ever tell any groomer what kind of cut to give her.
