I have to mention this because it happened. I came to Dena's because of the good reviews, but we were not as lucky. My dog is a Morkie and super nervous and scared of groomers and veterinarians so I try to chose carefully. The first time here he was cut very short and a little choppy, his ears were also very strangely cut, but that's ok, it grows back out quickly. The second time he came he had just recently been attacked by a pit bull, he had been accidentally cut during shaving for an echocardiogram for his heart, and had gone through a tough, painful healing process after the attack. I was told he was going to be groomed quickly and after 4,5 hrs I called to see if he was done soon. Yes apparently he had been done for a while but they had not called me to let me know. When I picked him up, his paw was bleeding on his blanket in the car as he was licking it nonstop. Maybe that's why they never called and they did not tell me about the incident either when I paid and picked him up. I called and asked what happened and obviously they had cut his nail too short and cut the quick which is very painful for dogs. I was told he had bled a lot and she apologized, but the last thing you expect when your pet is picked up from an experienced groomer is that he is bleeding and in pain. It has never happened with any groomer for us and now he would be even more scared of groomers. I think Dena has a heart for dogs and they try their best to make customers happy, it could be that too many dogs come in at the same time. But anyway, I have decided that I will groom my dog myself from now on. read more

We have a Samoyed that can only get groomed by certain people as not everyone knows how to handle Samoyed hair so our breeder recommended her groomer which was Dena. The price for the cut and nail trim was very reasonable and they treat our Samoyed very well and is very nice. It's always been a nice visit every time that we go so I literally have no complaints. They give her a bandanna from time to time when they are finished and it looks so cute on my dog. All I can say is wow! I just moved to the area and saw Adorable Pets by Dena while driving by and decided to call-in for my 15-year-old pug. The service on the phone was very professional and friendly and they even offered to take my pup in the same day! COVID precautions and all, I had a quick drop-off and they even offered to walk my senior pup and take great care of him. I made the terrible mistake of taking my Yorkie Inky to another groomer one weekend that Adorable Pets was closed and because of that horrible experience my allegiance is forever pledged to Dena. The other place was smelly and I could have done a better job with Inky's cut by using a pair of scissors while throwing back shots of vodka. We've found a forever grooming home here at Adorable Pets by Dena. They are so friendly and kind here. We have a 6 year old fur baby and Unicorn is 4 months old. This was her 1st grooming. I can't speak highly enough of the staff here. All were very friendly and you could tell they really love animals. I love how the owners cat hangs around and greets you at the counter. He's too cute! My dog doesn't do well with groomers, but this place did amazing with her! Her haircut looked great and she didn't get cut or anything (which is an issue I have had a few times with other groomers because my dog is a nervous/anxious dog who won't sit still to be groomed) I definitely recommend Adorable Pets by Dena! read more

I've usually taken my dog to this groomer and every other time i've brought him there he's been perfectly fine, but as soon as he got back from the last visit he had he wasn't the same. We took him out to the bathroom and he collapsed on the floor and started whining loudly. Our dog has never been like this so we were truly confused on what happened to him. He's physically really sore, whines when you lightly touch his neck or chest, and has random shaking and whining bursts. We called the owner just to tell her to watch the person that trimmed my dogs hair and we were met with her being extremely rude, denying that her groomer would've ever done anything to our dog. After we got off the phone we checked our dogs body to see if we saw any external damage and we found the cuts and sores in the picture below. My dog is mentally traumatized from this experience. If I could give this place one star I really would. read more

Adorable Pets by Dena did a wonderful job with my little fur baby. I knew this trip to the groomer was going to be a little more difficult than usual. My Shihtzhu had a small skin condition that left him with some scabs and matted up all of his fur, I couldn't get him groomed until everything was healed so I was nervous that he might have to be shaved in some spots. I walked in to this grooming salon and they said no problem and reassured me they would get him all trimmed up and looking great again. They definitely delivered! My dog looks wonderful, they cut him exactly the way I asked. The staff was so friendly and my dog came out relaxed and happy with his new haircut. Best groomer ever! We have a Newfoundland dog and they have two coats of hair. Dena's team gets her clean! Other groomers bathe her and she smells nice for about 2 days. With Dena's team our dog stays clean for at least a week or two. They don't just give baths, they give awesome thorough baths! They also adjust the cut at our request. They listen to your issues/concerns make suggestions and are true partners. Both of my dogs love going to Dena's. They prance right in. No fighting with them. My dog was injured in their care. I asked to speak to the owner and she was immediately rude and passive aggressive. She refused to take responsibility and my dog needs to see a vet because of this business. The owner came out yelling at the top of her lungs saying she was going to get me for having a private conversation outside when I was talking to a woman about my experience. Be careful with this woman.. something is off about her. She lied and said his glands were expressed and I know they were not because he ALWAYS gets sedated for that at the vet. What they did to my dog is cruel. The owner is very hostile to say the least. She showed no remorse for what happened. I will be contacting the BBB and PETA because something isn't right about this place. People don't just pay for grooming services but also pay for their baby to be safe. She does not provide the safe aspect and barely the grooming. She spoke to me in an inexcusable manner. I had to ask her to come from the counter and take a look at my dog because she wasn't even interested. She does not take accountability or hold a conversation without becoming disrespectful and out of control. She can't handle questions. Her reaction to my concern was alarming. It was not normal.. I kept my composure and left. I wanted to know what happened to my dog, the least she could have done was tell me! My dog has a black rectum not due to pigmentation but due to an overwhelmingly dark scab all around it. I won't post pictures on here because it is graphic. I can't say how many times I have posted my review on google and yelp and she has had it deleted. She deletes as many reviews as she can. I spoke about this at an HOA meeting and many others are now aware. They will be sharing my experience to everyone they know as well. They have seen what this place did to my dog. No matter how many reviews she deletes I will continue to share my experience and many others have promised me to do the same.. Those that do business with her in the HOA and that I know personally are cutting ties for the safety of their pets. My neighbor suggested we spread the word on social media and mail boxes so that's what we will all be doing this week being that reviews don't stay up long. No worries Deena! While living in the area this was the only grooming place that we liked in the area. Average grooming place without the frills. Our dog would come back to us clean but you can tell he would be stressed out at times. Also the shampoos they use don't really have much of a scent to them. We have a Persian cat that gets a lion cut, and after trying 4 other groomers we found Dena's. The cat groomer is there on Mondays, and she gave our cat the best haircut he's ever had. His eyes, ears, nose, toes, etc were all cleaned thoroughly, his whiskers were intact, and his cut was perfect!
