The Pizza was delicious, but only had a little bit of sausage on a couple of pieces. Wish it had at least been spread out on the pizza a bit more. The Cesar Salad was divine as always. It's more expensive than I would have hoped, but definitely worth the try!

Gonna be three stars on this one…read more The line order wait on a Wednesday night @6pm was 45 min. That wouldn't be an issue if this was a restaurant where one is waiting to be seated, however in this establishment before entering the dining area customers must go through a kiosk line to place an order with a cashier and this night it was taking 4.5-5 min per order (we were 10th in line). The plastic silverware knocks a star off of this review. So much waste in the casing, and it couldn't even cut through the pizza. Please don't squirt ricotta. Ever. The cheese pizza for the little ones was rated by the little ones as a 3/5. The entire cheese coming off in one big lump was a downer. Sauce was a 2, dough was ok. Layout and furniture solid. The best pizza was the prosciutto and mushrooms. Points for great live music and a wonderful outdoor play area for the kids.

There's a bunch of tables across the yard for everyone. They don't sell beer or liquor . You can bring your own, even in a cooler. No fee The band works for tips. They have dining inside or on the back porch. We were Party of 5 so they put 2 tables together. The dinner was okay. Salads came out with spring Lettuce, and were kinda small. I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo and it was cooked right. Kinda bland. Came with 6 grilled medium shrimp. For $19.00 I would have thought we would eat off of real bowls and plates. We did have silverware. My Mom and her friend both had Chicken Alfredo at $17.00 and it looked like possibly precut cubes of chicken not grilled. My Mom asked for Parmesan cheese as she thought it was bland. The Fettuccine was warm . Another friend had the BBQ sandwich with Baked Beans which he liked . Another friend had a Cheeseburger . It came with Baked Beans and Coleslaw. He doesn't like coleslaw so the waitress said he could have French fries . It came out with coleslaw and she said she did'nt know that they don't even have French Fries . They should have asked him if he wanted double Baked Beans, or chips . And the Cheeseburger was on the menu for a $20.00 but actually cost at the front counter $15.00.Atmosphere was great. They have a whole store inside with local art, stones, Indian jewelry. They have a Scooped Ice cream area with lots of flavors. They sell snacks and sodas too. I feel that for what they served , their prices were pretty high . I don't see myself eating there a second time . If I went back it would be for the music .

Everything felt balanced, thoughtful, and made with real skill. Nothing was trying too hard. It was just very good food made by people who clearly know what they're doing and care. I noticed some reviews complain about the wait. I get it, but honestly, I think that misses the point. This is not fast food, and it doesn't taste like fast food. When a place is making food with this much care, I'm fine waiting a bit. I live in Chicago and would be thrilled to have a place like this near me. Pisgah Bakehouse is casual, but the food is seriously good. It was one of those places that made the trip memorable. Thanks.
