Good old fashioned diner spot! The burger was really good and reasonably priced. The onion rings were crispy. All of the prices were great. Food came out fast and service was kind:

This is probably not the best burger you will ever have in your entire life, but it is pretty darn good and you will not beat the price. I have been coming here since I moved to C'Ville in 2013, and I have never been disappointed and have had great service every time. Best part is you are not paying much more than McDonald's prices and they actually care about how the food looks when they make it for you.

Delicious, affordable, and definitely hits the spot. Favorite burger place north of Polo Ground Road and south of Airport on 29. Fries and cheese balls tasted fried in clean oil. If you're craving a good burger stop here! Will be back for more!

Great home town spot where the locals go! Friendly and fast service along with plenty of different types of seating such as booths, large and small tables in case you're with a big party or just by yourself for lunch like I was. Free wifi and plugs for catching up on work if you need to and Philly cheese steak was good. Country music plays while there's also bar stools to watch the grill master and eat right there. Good parking as it's in a strip mall.

My mom and I were in the area, looking for a spot to get some lunch and found a lot of closed places or take out only options. We both wanted to sit down and eat so we decided on Riverside North. Riverside North to me, is best described as a sit down Cookout. The food itself is pretty okay, but it's good for what you're paying. You could pay $20 and eat like a king, which I like. It definitely isn't the highest quality food, but it gets the job done. I got a little burger which was pretty decent, but smushed. We also got jalapeño poppers, fries, and fried pickles to share. Everything was about on the same level, hot and tasted alright. I will note that the breading on the fried pickles was good. Also, it was pretty quick, much like Cookout. The restaurant was nearly as full as it could be, and we got our food within 10 minutes of sitting down, which was good because we spent a while driving around looking for a spot to eat. Overall, it was a decent experience at Riverside North, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a Cookout experience in a sit down restaurant.

This is a great place to bring your family or kids for a casual or quick meal. The burgers and fried pickles are delicious!!!

Excellent execution of basic burgers and bar menu. Burgers are amazingly good and the wait staff have been very good to us over the 12 months we've made this our regular spot. They are always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make patrons happy. There is a family/restaurant side and a bar side, and the latter is mostly regulars, but don't be intimidated. Just say "hi" and you'll likely become part of the Riverside North family. We keep going back at least weekly so, yes, we love it.

The waiter was quick to take our order the house salad with grilled chicken. It was fresh, delicious and filled with the perfect about of topping. The chicken was favorable and the honey mustard dressing was spot on. About $20 and worth every penny. My husband ordered a cheese burger 1/2 pound juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. He mentioned one of the best burgers he's ever had. He also ordered buttered fried onion rings. He also claimed they were cooked to perfection. If you're looking for good food with amazing service this is your place.

In case you have never been they offer steaks that are cooked in a brick fire oven. AMAZING I ordered the VA sirloin which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) with creamed spinach and potatoes. The creamed spinach and the potatoes were very delicious and flavorful. I also ordered the fried oysters which were great. Not overly fried and still maintained the texture and flavor of a typical oyster. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was very entertaining and helpful. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She ensured that wanted for nothing. The ambiance was great. I loved the cow theme as well as the signage that stated "no well done steaks". It was a great touch. Overall, I had a great experience. If I am in Charlottesville again I will definitely visit.

Wait time from store to store is usually pretty short, but waiting for actual food can be 2 minutes to 15 depending on who you go to. This is a clean, no-nonsense, down to earth BBQ place and it's delicious! I've been several times since they've opened & haven't been disappointed. I've come in during dinner & almost closing, and the food has been consistently good. The pictured dishes are the platters with 2 meats & 2 sides. I couldn't finish my platter & had the rest for lunch (still delicious cold) a couple days after. The standout for me (besides the meats) were the onion rings! These are NOT the pre-frozen ones. These are fresh-cut, seasoned, & breaded, and they are ADDICTIVE! They make other ones look sad. The baked beans are cooked with brisket pieces. The sandwiches are generous, too. The meats are smoked, tender & delicious. The sauces are also handmade, not bottled. So, you're going to have sample for your preferred flavor & heat. Not a problem because they have little sauce cups that you can use. I will definitely be patronizing this locally owned & run establishment.
